Chapter 15 Saving Yun Hua

After Grandma w.a.n.g and her son were finished making dinner, they discreetly unlocked the door and knocked; they then enthusiastically invited her over to have dinner .

“Come, come, hope you don’t mind this simple meal, as our only source of food is from the mountains . ”

Grandma w.a.n.g smiled amicably towards Song Ye .

Song Ye on the other hand showed a docile smile and ate her meal in a reserved way, as if she didn’t notice Da Zhuang’s glances on her .

After a bowl of porridge entered her stomach, within thirty minutes she felt drowsy, she told them that she felt sleepy and headed towards the fireplace, located inside the room and fell asleep right away .

Grandma w.a.n.g estimated that it was about time for the effects of the drug to kick in and had her son go and check on her .

“Bring her to the cellar and don’t let the other families find out . ”

“Aye . ”

Da Zhuang instantly answered and headed into the room . The first thing he laid his eyes on upon entering the room was the pair of legs that were covered in stockings; that very sight had his eyes going red and he was unable to move his legs .

At that moment, Grandma w.a.n.g was worried and came to take a look, so she was able to stop him in time .

“Don’t you dare touch this girl! From the looks of her attire she doesn’t seem to be from any normal family and we won’t be able to take responsibility if anything was inflicted onto her body . ”

“Mom, what are you afraid of? She’s pa.s.sed out, so it will be alright even if I were to put her clothes back on after I’m done . ”

Da Zhuang didn’t give up and was about to reach his hands towards her .

Grandma w.a.n.g once again stopped him and glared at him .

“That person is coming over tonight and this girl for sure will have his interest . At that time, just by selling her out for a high price; mother will be able to get you to live in the city . Now, be a good boy and send her into the cellar . ”

Da Zhunag felt dejected but he was unable to go against Grandma w.a.n.g . So he could only carry Song Ye into the cellar .

With a creak, as the door of the cellar was about to close, Song Ye opened her eyes and took out a steel stick and stuck it to the door . After Da Zhuang’s footstep became more and more distant Song Ye loosened her grip on the steel stick . When she turned her head, her eyes locked with another pair of eyes in the darkness .

As there was no sunlight in the cellar, the surrounding had a damp and sour odor . The floor was covered with dried gra.s.s and a woman with tattered clothes laid on top of the dried gra.s.s .

The clothes on the woman was torn by a man and a large portion of her skin was exposed to the air and was covered in bruises and wounds . Her messy hair covered her face and the eyes that was looking back at her were so hollow that it was scary .

Song Ye walked to the woman’s side and removed the down coat on her and covered the woman . Lightly hugging her, she then called out the name that had been making her heart ache for a long time .

“Yun Jie . ”

Yun Jie .

It’s been thirteen years, thirteen years had pa.s.sed and she could still remember clearly the days she had spent in the mountains with this woman in front of her . The her at that time had also felt helpless and despair, wanting to end her life after she was violated .

It was Yun Hua who had saved her . For the sake of allowing Song Ye to have a proper meal and avoid beatings, Yun Hua married Da Zhuang and all the beatings and scoldings were taken in her place .

Maybe because of her words, Yun Hua’s hollow and numb eyes had slowly fallen onto Song Ye’s face and after looking at her properly for a while, she then let out a hoa.r.s.e voice asking three words .

“Who are you?”

Song Ye lowered her eyes and brushed her hair, and showed a beautiful smile .

“Song Ye, you can also call me Ah Ye . I’m here to save you, let’s get out of here together . ”

Get out of here together .

This sentence was what Yun Hua had told her in the past . Now that it was coming out of her mouth, grief and heaviness can be felt .

Maybe because Song Ye’s expression felt cold, or maybe it was because that sentence was very attractive . The woman that was originally numb in her arms had a reaction, the hollow eyes had some life in it . Yun Hua stretched her arms that were so skinny and weak as if they were made of twigs . Song Ye felt her heart ached and embraced her, feeling the clothes in front of her chest getting wet from tears . She bit her lips and showed a bitter and angry expression .

As night fell and the smell of cooked foods floated around, the presence of a guard couldn’t be felt .

Song Ye used the steel stick to open the door and supported Yun Hua out of the cellar .

Before that, she had purposely gone around the village to ensure her escape route . Now that night had fallen and it was time for dinner, no one was outside . So no one noticed them when they went through the village .

The pair of round eyes looked as smart as she had appeared . After staring at Yun Hua, she hurriedly cleaned her hands and ran over; she then knowingly grabbed onto Yun Hua’s arm .

“Big sister, please bring me along as well . ”

Yun Hua’s arm felt painful from her grabbing and frowned . She then felt sympathy towards this child and when she was about to turn her head and ask Song Ye, she was suddenly stopped short .

“We can’t now . Go back first, I will come back later . ”

That girl s.h.i.+vered and flinched when she looked into Song Ye’s cold gaze .

Yun Hua didn’t dare to utter a word . Even if she was benevolent, she still didn’t forget that she did not have the ability to do anything . When Song Ye separated the girl’s hands from Yun Hua, Yun Hua stepped back and turned her body to walk away .

Before the third step, a low voice could be heard from behind them .

“If you don’t bring me along, I will scream . ”

When Song Ye turned to look at her, the face of the girl had reverted to that of inoccence and cuteness .

Seeing the struggle in Yun Hua’s eyes, Song Ye did not have any emotion on her face .

“Then let’s go . ”

And so, a two-manned operation became a three-manned operation . After leaving the village, the three of them then hid themselves in the forest .

In the forest, everything was so dark, they could barely see what was in front of them . Without knowing how long they had ran, the sound of a gunshot could be heard from the area .
