Seeing her flushed face, Granny Yang whispered to Lin Xiaomi, "Do you two live together?"

Lin Xiaomi felt stunned and consecutively waved her hands while seeing that Granny Yang considered them a couple, "No. Granny Yang, you misunderstood us. We're not a couple. We..."

Granny Yang interrupted her before she could finish speaking, "You don't need to explain to us. I understand the young generation of your age is different from us. We were even forbidden to hold hand by hand at that time. You have to seize such a good man. You two can get married at this age."

"By the way, what does he do?"

She sighed after seeing that Granny Yang wished that they could get married tomorrow that Granny Yang understood everything, but what on earth did Granny Yang know?

When Leng Yihuang came back with the porridge in his hands, she already woke up, but her dainty face was abnormally red.

"Temperature high again?" asked he with concerns. He bent over to kiss her forehead so as to feel the temperature. "You don't have a fever."

She was stiffened and unbelievably looked at him.

The soft touch still lingered on her forehead!

She got more flushed but didn't know that he left kisses on her whole body last night, not to mention her forehead.

Of course, he wouldn't tell her about this.

He pretended not to see her stiffness and asked, "Why is your face so red? Are you uncomfortable?"

She raised her hand to wipe where he kissed her and said, "No, I'm not."

"What were you talking about just now?" asked he purposefully while staring at her blushed face.

Without daring to look at the meaningful expression of Granny Yang, she lowered her head and said in a m.u.f.fled voice, "Nothing."

It was the first time that Granny Yang had seen her who was so shy, so Granny Yang thought they were very sweet to each other.

"Boy, take good care of your girlfriend. Xiaomi is a good girl. If you treat her ill, our neighbors won't spare you." Granny Yang made a joke.

She felt so embarra.s.sed that she wanted to get under the bed. As she was about to explain, she heard him say, "I know."

He knew!

She looked at him in surprise and wondered what he knew again.

When Granny Yang went back to her husband, Lin Xiaomi asked in an undertone, "Why not explain to them just now?"

Leng Yihuang said after placing the porridge before her bed, "I have nothing to explain."

She didn't understand him. Did he mean that the truth would come out by itself?

She didn't get it.

"Drink it. The doctor said the anti-fever medicine would stimulate your stomach, so you have to eat something." Sitting on her bed, he spooned the millet porridge to her mouth.

She looked at him as if he was a monster. Did she really know him?

Why did he turn so kind?

She wasn't accustomed to his gentleness.

"I'll do it myself". She stretched out her hands and wanted to drink it by herself.

He made a dodge to avoid her. "You're weak, so what if you sprinkle it? Be good, will you?"

His tone was helpless as if he was coaxing a disobedient kid.

Although she felt strange, she still slowly opened her mouth and drank the entire bowl of porridge.

His unfamiliar behaviors apparently showed that it was the first time that he did this, so he made her face dirty from time to time.

However, it seemed that her heart was filled with something. He frowned like he was dealing with a difficult question.

She was so touched.

How many years had been since she wasn't taken care of?

When she was sick in the Lin family, no one cared about her. Later, when she moved out, no one knew she was ill, so she just ate several pills each time.

She could still recall that she once had a fever. Having stayed in bed for two days, she struggled to get up and drink the milk from the kitchen, but the milk was expired.

Diarrhea and vomiting made her even worse.

She never thought someone would feed her porridge when she was ill.

With a pair of reddish eyes, she lowered her head to blink for fear that she would cry.

Having eaten the porridge, she had some strength.

"This infusion bottle still needs one hour or so, so you can sleep." Acting like he didn't notice the changes in her mood, he put breakfast away and then touched her cold face before tucking her bedding.

She had felt surprised, but now, she was stunned.

Did he eat something wrong today?

Why was he so different from before?

People were always fragile and needed care when they were ill. She was moved when she was plunged into his gentleness.

She fell into sleep while staring at him.

Not until she breathed smoothly did he look up at her with a trace of softness in his eyes.

Having pinned her scattered hair behind her ears, he sat on the bed watching her.

Seeing this, Granny Yang and other neighbors smiled.

When the infusion bottle was finished, she still slept. He slightly removed the quilt from her and easily held her into his arms.

Granny Yang said in a low voice with a laugh, "See, he's good to her."

He politely nodded at Granny Yang and walked out of the clinic.

At the moment, the sunlight was the most dazzling.

Having felt the dazzling sunlight, she subconsciously hurtled herself into his arms and felt into sleep again like a kitten with her hand beside her face after finding a comfortable position.

The moment they entered the apartment, Little Nipper that had been startled by him this morning swished over and raised its head to see the one in his arms.

He put her on the bed, watched her stretch out, and bent over to kiss her forehead.

As she slowly woke up, she saw his face near her. Her brain operated slowly, so she wondered if she was in a dream.

Seeing her addled expression, he smiled, stroked her hair, and said in an undertone, "You can continue sleeping."

"Eh." She slowly closed her eyes.

He watched her fall into sleep and turned around before walking into the bathroom.

A few moments later, she abruptly opened her eyes and immediately sat up on the bed.

Did he kiss her again?

Why did he kiss her again?
