The last attempt on their life by the Djinn had been an eye opener but at the same time, it made it easier for Ridd.i.c.k to get the approval of Annihilus to partic.i.p.ate in the war. The mastermind behind the incident was audacious enough to make a move even after the supreme elders warning so that meant that it was dangerous everywhere.
If it was dangerous everywhere why not limit the Levels of the people trying to hurt his nephew?
The last month of training pa.s.sed by in a flash and the arrival of Ridd.i.c.k to the temple marked the date of departure.
Even though the whole temple of the dreadnought trained together, they decided to partic.i.p.ate with their respective chambers. The Havoc Chamber was the first to head over to the Ashura entrance and had left 30 days prior to Ridd.i.c.ks arrival and their leader was the elder brother of Rahz's opponent during the recruitment event and was level 39.
Thanks to the item left by his father, Ridd.i.c.k looked exactly the same as Rahz who look harmless to children and animals. n.o.body below level 50 could tell that a 30 ft tall demon capable of destroying small cities and incinerate people with his aura alone lurke underneath those elf ears.
The team gathered together and the expression on their faces was very solemn, the war was schedule to last for 2 years and there were no rules except for the level cap, poison, deceit, zerg tactics, and level differences were some of the things they were about to face.
"Let's Go" said Rahz
Liz opened the portal and the team appeared at the entrance of the abyss were they quickly crossed over to the main realm and took another portal that sent them straight to the entrance of Warsong Valley where they expected to see squads of soldiers like a military regime but instead what met their eyes was something completely different.
Upon crossing the portal, they arrived to what looked like giant flea market where dwarfs were selling weapons, alchemist were selling potions and sieging machines were being moved into the valley. There were giant elementals walking around following behind their summoners while people in dark robes walked around with undead creatures trailing behind them.
Deals were being made left and right and even mercenary services were being offered by third tiers to the many rich heirs that were gathering bodyguards to protect them inside.
"WOW is that a Goblin… and … and … is that a real giant"
It was stimuli overload for Rahz and the others who had never been into one of the main cities of the alliance where the strong gather. Even though s.h.i.+njuku was pretty close to it, it was still smaller that Silverwing or Blackrock port.
In a sense, Rahz and his team were really frogs in a well that had barely see the outside world.
"My Husband said to meet him in front of the biggest tent around. He said to look for the 2 trolls standing guard at the door".
It took just a second to see the castle looking tent with the sign that said GIANT BLADE'S HUMBLE ABODE and even less for Jazz to just smiled and disappeared from his spot moving very quickly through the crowds.
Giant Blade was chillin by the door with an Ale in his right hand while looking at his a.s.sistants engrave a small rune on the people partic.i.p.ating in the war from Blackrock City. The Rune was a system created by the leaders in order to keep track of the contributions of the partic.i.p.ants and promote activity during the war. The contribution points could then be use by the survivors in the War Hall as currency to buy t.i.tles, armor, and properties among many others.
The process of registering and tagging all the partic.i.p.ants from the city had been ongoing for the the better part of 6 months and it had finally slowed down to a few hundred each day. This was also a way to keep track of the amount of people partic.i.p.ating in the event and to compensate them for their contribution in rescuing key pieces of their Avatar Sets.
"Brother!!" Said Jazz with eyes full of emotion while he put forward his personal Ale Mug for their secret handshake that in their case was just the b.u.mping of Ale Mugs.
"You finally here!!! I have been waiting for a long time and I must say, 'the talent has been off the charts'"
Jazz jaw dropped and a very pervy face stare around verifying the new information while grabbing a chair.
Sigh…
"I knew it! I should off asked sister in law to bring me over here ahead of time, all I did was stare at a wall while learning how to play the flute… even the demon girls were busy training in their chambers, Rahz and the others just don't get the scoundrel ways…"
Amen brother!!
While they were conversing merrily, the team finally arrived to the tent and Giant Blade was able to inspect all the members before walking over to hug his third wife liz who gave him a big kiss.
"Not bad Rahz, looks like you might be able to survive in there but don't get too confident, you could bet your a.s.s that all this is so that they could kill you and get whatever they think you used to destroy their avatar weapon. Rumor has it that the G.o.d of Justice created a new Sword and now Omega has 2 unseal avatar items on him".
Rahz smiled and said, "I will be careful"
Giant Blade could see the confidence in his student's eyes and didn't say anything else regarding the Rumors going around.
"All of you get tagged, I need to take Rahz inside.... My Boss wants to see him"
"Your Boss!"
"Yup, the b.a.s.t.a.r.d that is working me to the bone.. Sigh…"
"Weren't you just drinking Ale?"
….
"I was mult.i.tasking! … didn't you see me supervising the rune tagging, it was a sea of people before"
Rahz followed his teacher inside and the tent was amazing, there was a ramp all the way at the back of the tent that wrapped around towards the second floor and then the third floor and finally the fourth.
The ramp truly made people forget that they were inside a tent and not a castle.
The second floor was the designated conference room and the other two above it were used by the personnel as living s.p.a.ces.
There were alot of people moving in an out of the first floor but there were very few that actually pa.s.sed through a couple of trolls standing before the ramp leading all the way to the second floor.
Rahz walked behind Giant Blade and when he made it to the second floor, the first thing he saw was an Iron Throne. Unexpectedly, the guy sitting on it was not taller than himself and his skin was bluish in color but what truly called Rahz's attention were the pair of pointy ears and the red eyes that glowed brightly.
Inside the hall there were many gnomes and mages setting up some mirrors in different parts of the room, some of the mirrors contained pictures of rivers, others of a few mountains, others of a beautiful plain and finally a place that looked like a mountain but the molten rock was running on its surface.
"They are monitoring runes to ensure the fairness of the War, it should prevent those 'Devas' from getting outside a.s.sistance".
Rahz looked towards the direction of the sound and saw a human in a black trenchcoat with some doc.u.ments in his hands and a smile on his face. The feeling Rahz got from the person was extremely familiar but he just couldn't remember where he had seen the face before.
While Rahz was thinking about where he had seen the person in front of him, a strange feeling that the room was getting smaller and that all the people in it disappeared a.s.sailed him.
KE KE KE!
A mask of a demon superimposed Rahz's head and when the laughed faded away, everything returned to normal.
The middle age man in the trench coat was pleasantly surprised and said "Your level of growth is incredible and you even have a nice relic to protect you from illusions… I am relieve"
"I am sorry do we know each other"
The Man looked towards a mage in the room that started to yelled towards Rahz, "Beware of the G.o.d of Justice", then right after another mage said "The Rune Collector is Mycroft", then another said "I was there!".
IT WAS YOU!!
Rahz stared attentively at the man in front and with a solemn expression said , "Thank you for your help"
