ENDLESS POISONOUS BREATH

Ridd.i.c.k didn't fall behind the captain of the Scaleborn and immediately responded with his very own Chaos Flame Cannon. The flame gathered around his mouth and it flew straight towards his opponents.

Sizzle!

The Poisonous Breath was evaporated by the chaos fire but the struggle was dead even. The two streams were locked in place and any distractions from either side could end the fight. It was up to Bato and Rahz to do their part and defeat their opponents in the shortest amount of time.

Rahz appeared beside the Mage Scaleborn who had to use one of his defensive cards a short teleportations spell called distortion. The mage appeared a few feet away but Rahz didn't get fl.u.s.tered and use Chaos Burst x8 followed by a Blade Extension on both of his one handed Axes that swept horizontally in the s.p.a.ce where the Scaleborn was appearing.

The timing was excellent.

The Scaleborn Mage didn't have time to focus on his enemy before a feeling of impending doom a.s.sailed him and he encased himself with his wings by reflex.

Crack! RAWR!

The Mage roar from the pain of his wing bones getting chopped up as little pieces flew away exposing the bone marrow. Rahz strength after a Chaos Burst was of the charts and despite being an Scaleborn, the mage was a caster type with very weaker defenses. The wings looked like inside out umbrella.

The chopping of bones came with a solid impact that send the mage flying while Rahz chased with a Leaping Strike as his body burned with immolation.

The two axes came down and buried themselves inside the mage's chest and send the airborne Scaleborn straight to the ground.

BOOM!

Blood splattered everywhere and thanks to immolation the green blood flying in Rahz direction was evaporated before it reached his skin. All the blood of the natives in the Tenebrous Island was highly corrosive but unfortunately for them, it was countered by the fire skills Rahz was utilizing.

Rahz landed besides his enemy, the scaleborn couldn't move his arms any more and with a swift motion, he grabbed the axes and chopped again.

It was all over for the mage but the fight was still going, so Rahz quickly scanned the battlefield and saw Bato trying to penetrate the defences of the Healer encased in holy light but it was very difficult to do.

The good news was that the relentless attacks from the monk made it impossible for the healer to aid his liege.

Rahz quickly appeared besides Bato using the shadows and started to land pulverizing wave after pulverizing wave on the healer's barrier until it finally crumble.

The inability of the healer of maintaining the barrier signified the beginning of the end for the healer and with the battle progression, Jazz's songs changed to incorporate more physical and spell enhancements to match the new needs of the team.

The first person to notice the change was Captain Halar that saw his Endless Poisonous Breath starting to lose momentum while musical notes made completely of mana surrounded Ridd.i.c.ks Flame Cannon and empowered it.

AHHHH!! FOOLS WHAT ARE YOU DOING…. HELP ME!

Captain Halar screamed in his mind but besides the first spell cast by his healer nothing else was being cast, he had been so concentrated on his attack that he did not realize that he was all alone.

WHOOSH.

A Giant Axe came chopping from behind and landed square on the back of his knees and made him buckled. The moment his knee gave out, his body was sent out of balance and his poisonous breath shot towards the sky while Ridd.i.c.k's Empowered Flame Cannon landed on his skin burning and corroding his scales.

The Captain was consumed by the beam and when it dissipated the only thing left was the skeleton of a 20 ft Scaleborn falling to the floor.

WOO HOO!!!

The Frog like humanoids cheered with enthusiasm celebrating the fact that they had won the rebellion.

The team on the other hand, picked up the mace used by the captain and placed the Black scale given by the Erudite at the beginning of the mission next to his body. The moment the scale was placed on the ground vast amount of energy visible to the naked eye came rus.h.i.+ng towards them taking them to the next level and signifying the end of the adventure.

Their surroundings blur with the incoming of energy and when everything was set and done, they were back at the Temple of the Rising Sun but weirdly enough Ridd.i.c.k was holding a giant mace.

WHOAH!

"Is that mace, real?"

Hmm…

Ridd.i.c.k looked at the mace in his hands and swung it towards the nearest wall.

BOOM!

The cave shook and rocks flew in all directions from the impact while everyone looked towards the scene with mouths open.

"Springsocket, Is everything we collected still in the Cube?"

"Yes, They are"

Springsocket didn't say anything else and continue his research while thinking that somehow the orb had not created an illusion as much as a translocation but more conclusive test needed to be performed.

Rahz didn't pay too much attention as his energy level had increased considerably, it was a bigger gained than when he killed all those members of the G.o.d of Justice organization. He was now Level 38 and reaching a milestone in his development.

The energy required to reach the next level was a lot smaller during the lower levels and it increased in quant.i.ty the higher they went. The energy required also varied depending on the race and other aspects of the individual so it was not the same taking nature energy from a Scaleborn than from a member of the alliance.

"When can we do this again?" said Jazz while feeling the changes to his body.

Rahz was able to increase 2 levels in one go and his requirements were huge compared to Jazz's so the rapid increased left the dwarf flabbergasted.

"Right away if we used Xiao Bai's stone but I don't think Elune would be too happy"

The color drained from Rahz's face as he remembered that his child was about to be born and quickly rushed out of the cave.

In a certain island in the skies of Elysian….

The astral projection of a dark green scaleborn stood looking at a pile of bones laying on the floor besides a black dragon scale. Frog like humanoids stood like statues watching the scene and some collapse on the floor with blood streaming slowly from their eyes and ears.

The Scaleborn knelt on one knee and got close enough to the pile of bones before whispering in one of his ears using an ancient draconic language.

"It's too early to meet the primordial, come back...come back"

LIFE BESTOWAL

Divine light came down and entered the pile of bones that started regenerating blood vessels, muscles, and finally the scale like skin. Captain Halar opened his eyes and felt extremely weak while he observed the face of his father and realized that he had lost a level and was no longer at the fourth tier.

"What happened here?"

"Bone… Bonemire Island organized a rebellion and killed every single guard, we were not prepared… I… I am sorry"

The astral projection immediately disappeared and deep inside the tenebrous sanctum a Giant Scaleborn kneeling at the base of an altar stood up and headed to the deepest room in the whole building.

The road was extremely dark and the polished stones that made the walls of the sanctum started disappearing from view and a thick wave of poisonous gas cover the entrance of what it looked like a giant cave. The Scaleborn Priest cover himself in a divine barrier that sizzle and broke apart every few minutes and had to be recast over and over again.

After a few minutes of traveling under the grueling poisonous gas, the priest came to a giant open s.p.a.ce that could be considered to be the core of Tenebrous Island. At the bottom, there was a ma.s.sive western style dragon exceeding 100 meters resting. Dark Green smoke came out of his nostrils and quickly made his way up and into the road that the Priest walked to get there.

"Lord Venekious"

The dragon didn't move but the pressure around the room suddenly increased and that let the Priest know that he had the master of the island's attention.

"The Bonemire Scaleborn attacked our outer territory and created a rebellion wiping out every single guard, I believe they want to disrupt our production of Metal"

"Sounds like Nefarious... I thought he was too busy with a new experiment to start a game but if he wants to play then lets give him a headache. This is some of my weakest poison make sure it goes directly into his island's water source".

"As you command my Lord"
