Chapter 4.1 – Entering the New World

233 slowly came to consciousness.The first thing he noticed was the pungent smell of wine and musky air. His head felt light as he was a little dizzy. Then, light came slicing through his vision, making his head throb more.

The first thing that came into view was a plaque hanging from a wooden beam with the words scribbled “The Dragon and Tiger Gang,"

233 shook the nausea away, and he gradually broke free from the dizziness. He turned his head to his surroundings, squinted his eyes to see clearly the scene he was in.

It was a large banquet hall with the marble floor filled with people sloppily lying in various positions. Most of them are holding wine flasks in their hands, sleeping deeply, snoring noisily with fruits and meat scattered around them.

What a mess, 233 thought.

Even 233, at this time is also lying on the top of the large plush chair, arms holding a barrel, an empty barrel.

Obviously it was a ma.s.sive celebration and everyone drank too much.

233 put down the barrel, got up from his chair and looked at his present appearance through the reflection by the bowl atop the table next to him.

The reflected image showed a big fellow with disheveled hair and a full face of beard and big ears. A shocking scar scratched obliquely from the left eyebrow to the right ear, a very distinct feature.

At first glance, it can be said that he looked like a criminal on lose!

"Oh s.h.i.+t, this is one ugly face…" was the only thing 233 could say at that very moment.

Although he was prepared both physically and mentally, he was still astounded at the reflection before him. He felt the scar that ran across his face and observed a moment of silence in his heart.

Everyone has a love of beauty, 233 was no exception to this.

Because he used to play the role of a younger brother and only appeared in the novel once or twice only, he wasn't really concerned of the face given to him.

Besides, the appearance of his characters were always decent, not stunning but surely, all of it was not as ugly as the face he bore now! Not even close!

However, this was his first time as a boss, therefore he would be expected to spend a longer time in this parallel world. This proved to be a problem, for the time being, he couldn't take to look at his face any longer.

In fact, he felt sick to his gut just by taking a second look at his reflection!

Fortunately, he was not alone in this dilemma. Other actors in this parallel world also had to bear seeing this face.

He was muttering to himself with dread when a young man having a distraught look on his face, suddenly came running in the hall while shouting.

"The woman who was caught yesterday escaped!"

This loud cry woke up the sleeping people on the floor, and they began to get up.

It was also this cry that made 233 fully awake and understand the progress of the story in this world.

In the outline of the novel, there is not much description of 233 as the little boss, but it was written that  233 will have to play as the leader of the gang called Dragon and Tiger.

And he had to lead more than three hundred people who live atop this mountain.

233, in this parallel world is a King — King of thieves to be specific!

What triggered the demise of the dragon and tiger gang was that they looted a group of pa.s.sing business travelers, killed everyone, and took the only woman. They brought her up to the mountain to be the village head's wife.

At the celebration dinner that night, the imprisoned woman managed to escape because the guards were drunk. In the heat of her escape, the woman ran into the heroine named Linglong. At this time, Linglong had just had a fight with the male protagonist and was captured as well by the gang.

Then the hero came up the hill, killed the master who will be enacted by 233 himself, saved Linglong and burned the whole village of thieves and criminals, giving justice to the people they have wronged.

And that's how the plot must come to an end.

When the fl.u.s.tered young man came running and shouting the news of the woman's escape, 233 realized quickly which plot was currently in progress.

The current plot is just after the celebration dinner after looting the caravan of business travelers.
