Chapter 30 . 2 : Melancholy of Maou[Maou Side 2]

Their guilt and responsibility for what they did in the past wasn’t something that I must bear, it’s them who had to bear that sin and take the responsibilities .

Even now, I wouldn’t change my judgement since I knew it was the right thing to do, but I was sure that those farrats were cornered . As for what to do against a cornered rat…well naturally it was to raise our vigilance .

「Understood . Let’s do as you say . There’s the matter regarding Suzumori too . I’ll leave the Demon King’s castle in your care, Celazam . 」

When Celazam left the room, I told my chamberlain to let the other guest in . I called Belladone .

When she received permission to enter the room, she walked in timidly .

Even though her shoulders were slumped as if feeling lonely somehow, she’s still hiding her mouth with her folding fan as usual . Though I could see at a glance that she’s at least reflecting on what she had done with those statues .

Well then, it’s time for preaching .

「Belladone . I think you know about this but………」

With a thud . Belladone presented a disk-shaped object as big as the palm of my hand on top of the desk .

By appearance, it’s something that was enchanted with magic but, I didn’t know what its function was .

The overall color was white and something like small ring bored through its center .
 

「It’s a magic tool that I completed just recently . I always wanted to present this magic tool to your majesty . 」

Now that’s what I would call interesting .

I tried to pick the magic tool on my desk .

Certainly, it was just like a normal stone at a glance, but I know that various complex magic formations were etched inside of this disk-shaped tools .

「I think that an example is hundred times better than explanation . My apologies for using the strand of my own hair for this example, but please take a look . 」

Belladone took a strand of her hair and then placed it on top of the disk . So it’s trial run, huh .

If it’s according to her explanation, the disk should’ve taken the shape of Belladone . Practicality aside, I think the idea was interesting .

Just as she said, I tried to put Belladone’s hair strand into the ring part .

The magic tool was reacting to my magical powers and sucked the strand of the hair that I had placed in the ring part into the stone .

The disk-shaped surface of the stone soon started to release a faint glow, and then a small scale of Belladone was starting to emerge from the surface of the disk-shaped stone which was acting as the pedestal .

When I expected its color would be white as usual, the color of its skin and hair become like the person herself, yes it’s as if the mini figurine was the exact copy of Belladone .

Naked figurine, that’s it .

「…… . . Oi . Why in the world is the result naked?」

「Because I want to preserve something beautiful in its most glorious figure . Just that . Having a wonderful figure isn’t a crime, right?」

And though it’s just a miniature, observing the naked figure of someone in front of the person herself is really embarra.s.sing .

And when I stopped supplying my magical power to the stone while simultaneously averting my gaze, the disk-shaped stone was back to normal .

Looking sad, Belladone raised the folding fan that hid her mouth even further to cover half of her face .
