*Crunch* *Crunch*

I ran low and fast as my boots crunched on the gravel below. Both Ella and Rose flanked me as we jumped over the small streams of lava that littered the place. The t.i.tan still had its back turned to us as we made our way closer and closer.

My eyes scanned the area around the creature and I took notice of the difficulties we might face. During the battle we would have to be cautious of the loose dirt and lava flowing about. One wrong step and any of us could take a hot bath and I wasn't sure how our armour would hold up.

I quickly used a.n.a.lyze as we made our way closer, I couldn't get a good reading before.

Hunter wasn't kidding when he said they have tough skin. Its endurance was higher than anything I had faced before, but thankfully with that high endurance and strength, which was also scary, the rest of the stats were pitifully low.

I know it had been walking around slowly before, but only 45 agility? I should be able to run circles around it. It was the age old strategy. The stronger they are, the slower. Meaning I could keep attacking it forever, but if it landed one shot on me, I would definitely feel it.

I sent a small glance to my own stats, I had level up after the fight with the bandits, but I only got 1 level d.a.m.nit! I couldn't believe it at the time; I was so sure that I would be able to at least get 2 levels for killing that many people, but no dice.

I thought my stats would have increased more, especially with the 'Demonic Kiss' traits. We had absorbed all the bodies after the fight, but I had only gained 2 points in each stat! Because of their level they just weren't doing anything anymore.

Ella and Rose who were a bit behind in stats though did catch up. Ella once again pa.s.sed me in AGI, but I was ahead in nearly every other category. And Rose, who was catching up, is almost the same now. I guess the bond we share wants us at a more balanced level. Seeing that this creature is a level 35, when we absorb it we should get greater returns.

I could possibly survive 1 or 2 hits from this t.i.tan, but they would hurt. What I really had to watch out for was his 'Stomp' move. I almost face palmed when I saw the skill, of course the giant rock monster would have such a skill.

I shook my head slightly as the t.i.tan finally noticed us. Its body jerked slightly as if it could feel our presence, but it was moving so slow. It didn't have the time to turn around before we were upon it.

Jumping over a stream of lava, I bounded into the air and brought own my halberd. I needed to test this things END, if my weapon could somehow cut through it, great, if not, I still had plan B.

*Clang!*

I used gravity to my advantage and cleaved down right on its head. The resounding sound and reverberation almost made me drop the weapon. My hands wobbled from the backlash of the hit and my body actually bounced back.

Thankfully as I was falling to the ground I found out I wasn't going to fall into a lava streams.

The monster didn't seem to care about the hit to the head and continued to turn around. Ella and Rose started to circle it so we could attack it from all sides, but the creature didn't care about them. It was turning around to face me.

I looked down at my halberd after the attack to check if it had any damage and saw that the blade didn't have a nick, but neither did the t.i.tan. I would have to use plan B. I got into a type of fighting style I came up with and waited for the monster to move, I really needed to read up on fighting techniques and styles. Maybe there's a skill that could help?

The monster finally turned around and faced me, I could now see its red lava filled eyes, and I swear it was giving me a death stare as it eyed me. Maybe that hit to the head really hurt.

I gave the t.i.tan a small smirk as it slowly raised its hand to squash me. Leaving it to the last second I dived out of the way.

*Boom*

A loud m.u.f.fled boom came out as its hand crushed the ground underneath, if I was under that I would have been past.

"Now!"

I shouted out quickly as we enacted plan B.

Rose was on the right side of the creature as she snapped her whip down. The ground and gravel that surrounded the creatures downed arm, started to move about and cover it. And just as quickly as the hand was covered the snap of a whip came again.

*Snap*

The ground started to harden and lock the arm into place as the creature tried to move back. A few small cracks started to form in the binding but that was where Ella came in.

*Crack*

An arrow of Ice came streaming from the left as Ella tapped into our connection and let loose. We thought it wouldn't be a good idea to attack creatures that thrive in lava with fire arrows, so she would be tapping into my power for the duration of the dungeon, also a good way to increase our bond.

The arrow flew true and slammed into the back of the knee joint.

*Sizzle*

There was a small sizzle from the arrow as it melted on contact, but it did the required damage.

*ROAR!!!!!*

The creature screamed in pain just from the tiny arrow, proving that its weakness truly was the cold. I could just make out the pattern that was coursing through its body in red dim slightly at the area of contact.

Seeing how much it was injured Ella cracked a s.a.d.i.s.tic smile and started to repeatedly let loose arrows.

*ROOOOAAARRRR!!!*

The creature continued to scream in pain over and over as it was inflicted with the hits. I stood to the side and concentrated hard. All Ella and Rose where doing is keeping it busy, I had to deliver the death blow.

I knew that my usual sheet of ice that I covered my weapon with wouldn't be enough, so I had to spend extra time focusing to make it tougher and sharper. I wanted to take this things head clean off.

This was the perfect dungeon to practice my 'Ice' skill and I wouldn't waste the opportunity.

*ROOOOOAAAAAAARRRRRR!!!!*

The creature was struggling to get out of its binds and was down to one knee when I had finished. It had taken only a couple of seconds but it felt longer, the halberd in my hand was covered in a blue ice sheen, the cold that radiated outwards made the ground icy. The metal tip that was already sharp looked deadly.

'Ready.'

I sent the small message over our connection and started to run up for the jump. Ella sent one more arrow into its back and stopped to watch.

I circled around its back before making the jump, the creature roared in pain one more time before I reached its neck.

*Slash* *Crack* *Boom*

My halberd stalled for a second and I felt the force almost rebound, before it sliced right through its neck. Using my forwards momentum from the strike I tumbled down to the ground and rolled to break the impact.

Getting back to my feet, I saw its head roll off to the side and couldn't help myself.

"TIMBER!"

Just after my words the Rock t.i.tans' body started to tilt towards the ground. Moving out of the way, me, Ella and Rose watched its body slump dead.
