The Emperor and Empress each had an own thoroughly decorated golden thorne, who represented their mythological beast. For the Emperor it was shaped after a dragon, while the Empress had a throne in the shape of a phoenix. Just like the guests, they each had a table filled with delicacies and wine in front of their seats.

The Royal couple stopped in front of their seats and faced the subjects.
