It's been several days since Ya Nuo had been to school. Huan Hei started feeling restless and tried contacting her, but was directed to her voicemail. He tried asking her brother and parents, but everyone refused to tell him anything.

During the time when she wasn't around, he felt terrible. He couldn't focus on anything. She was all he had on his mind. The picture of her leaving figure made him feel bad, but at the same time he was mad that she didn't bother explaining what happened.

At first he thought it was her trying to comfort him, but after multiple confrontations of telling her to stop, she still continued. Finally, he has had enough.

Huan Hei: "Sorry, but I seriously mean it when I told you last time to stop talking bad about Ya Nuo."

Hen Qing: "But it's so unfair to you! She cheated!"

Huan Hei: "I was infuriated and smoke was coming out of my head, okay? I should've calmed down and listened to her, but instead of having patience or tried to talk it out, I went out of control."

Hen Qing: "You saw it yourself! They were doing it in the lounge room! Do you love her that much that you're willing to keep a cheater by your side? What exactly does she have that I don't? Why can't you give me a chance?"

Huan Hei: "You can't compare to her. If you continue having the thought that one day I'll accept you, then from now on, it's only best for us to act as strangers."

Hen Qing tried to pull the edge of his sleeve, but he retracted his arm so she missed. "Why?!!"

Huan Hei: "It's annoying that you keep ringing my ears with her cheating here and there, but we don't even know anything yet. I shouldn't be talking about it because I'm not any better for judging her like that. After calming down, I can't find any reason for why she would do anything like that so I won't question her anymore."

Hen Qing: "Hah.. hahahh.. That is so funny. You saw her on top of another man and you still choose to trust her despite what you saw?"

Huan Hei: "Yes. I didn't do that right away before, but the more I think about it, the weirder it becomes. There must be something behind what I saw. My eyes could be wrong."

Hen Qing: "What do you mean? You heard and saw it!"

Huan Hei: "I saw you as an innocent girl, but it doesn't seem so now, does it? Please keep your distance from me and my girlfriend. And before I find out what really happened, don't call her a cheater. I take back the words I said that day. That was me being stupid."

He walked away from her and went back to cla.s.s. After cla.s.s, he texted Ya Nuo and tried to call her, but once again, no response.

The next morning, he gathered his courage to visit her house. When they saw him at the door, Yang Xue hesitated to let him in.

Yang Ku Ze: "Let him in for some breakfast."

Huan Hei: "Thank you."

During breakfast, his eyes wandered around the kitchen and living room, but there were no signs of Ya Nuo.

Qi Yang: "Yo. You're spilling your juice."

Qi Yang handed him some tissues to wipe his uniform.

Yang Xue: "Go upstairs and clean your uniform. You wouldn't want to be marked for tidiness right?"

Yang Xue stuffed a toast in his mouth signaling him to be quiet. "Hurry and go."

Huan Hei : "Then pardon me."

After was.h.i.+ng his uniform, he needed to quickly dry it, so he thought of looking for a hair dryer. Instead of walking downstairs and asking for one, he decided to ask Ya Nuo, who should be in her room for hers.

He continuously knocked until she opened the door. She was rubbing her eyes and wearing her oversized pajamas. When she opened the door, she thought she was still dreaming.

'Am I missing him so much that I'm hallucinating?'

She tried slamming the door shut, but in the middle of swinging her door, the door hit her pinky toe.

"Owww!!!!" she knelt on the floor and silently squealed while ma.s.saging her poor toe.

Huan Hei: "Are you okay?"

The awkward silence lasted three minutes before she realized that she wasn't dreaming and he was actually standing in front of her. She sighed, 'Finally, the day has come. Either he actually figured it out or he's coming to question me or he's here to dump me. I'm ready for anything.'

Ya Nuo walked to her desk and poured a cup of water for herself, "What do you want? Another explanation? Or an apology for cheating on you? Or is it ridiculous to the point where you're here for neither of those questions, but for me to go and apologize to Hen Qing for scaring her with my tone the other day?"

He stood by the door with tightly clenched fists, "Why can't we talk peacefully?"

She replied while sipping her water and sitting with her legs crossed on her chair, "What else is there to talk about in peace?"

Huan Hei wasn't used to the cold side of her and grabbed her wrist.

She hissed in pain and he let go immediately. "I'm sorry." He lowered his head.

"Sorry for hurting my wrist? Or sorry for wronging me? Or sorry.."

He sighed, "Whatever you want to interpret it as you can. I didn't mean to hurt you."

Ya Nuo sneered, "Oh? Hurt me physically or emotionally? Or both? If you're here to apologize, then you can go. "

"I just want to see how you were doing. You didn't come to school for several days and I got worried. I tried contacting you, but you weren't…"

"Weren't what? Answering your calls or texts? Did you expect me to do that after you s.h.i.+elded her that day? If it's switched around, would you have answered the call?
