One Night With The Prince 139 Chrissy Chen Wen

Sophia arrived at her office, looking magnificent as always. Ever since she took over the Presidency of the Mega Entertainment Agency, the company's stocks went high up to the sky which made all the big stars from the compet.i.tors want to join.

Unfortunately, Sophia was very picky and only accepted the best of the best. She was about to have a meeting with one of their international models. And from what she heard from Lea and Eva, the model was related to the President of the United States of America, which made her more curious about the girl.

She was about ready to look through the files that were left on her desk when Edna, her ex-manager; now a.s.sistant came and informed her that Miss Grant had arrived and was on the way up.

"Thank you! Do me a favor and wait for them at the elevator and welcome them for me. Let me freshen up. And please, bring them in without delay." She put aside Alexa's portfolio to check herself, making sure she looked her best. Once she was satisfied with what she was seeing, she felt comfortable and stood by the window that overlooked the whole city and waited for their arrival.

A minute later, she heard a knock at the door. "Come in!" Sophia replied. She was expecting to see Alexa Grant, but instead, it was Ann, Lea, and Eva that came walking in looking all excited.

"Good morning, Mother!" Ann greeted her mother with a hug and a kiss.

"Good morning, Aunty Sophia!" Eva greeted her the same way as Ann.

"Good morning President Wen!" Lea respectfully greeted her superior with a nod.

"Good morning to all of you! What brings you all here this early in the morning? Ann, where are my grandchildren? Why didn't you bring them with you?" Sophia was talking about the twins Ava and Jeffrey now almost four years old.

"Mother! If I don't let them stay with Grandpa and Grandma, for at least one day a week...-I would never hear the end of it!" You know with Bentong and Don-don now studying abroad, they get too lonely. And who do you think has to suffer, Me?!" Ann was acting like it was the end of the world and exaggerating a bit.

Sophia was going to say more when the door opened, and it was Edna followed by Ms. Garcia and then Alexa and Ria right behind them.

"President Wen, Miss Grant, and her Manager Ms. Garcia." Edna introduced them to Sophia, who was staring at Alexa like she had seen a ghost as Sophia had turned deathly white. However, Ann, Lea, and Eva rushed toward Alexa while grinning from ear to ear. All three excitedly embraced Alexa like a long lost sister.

"Oh, my G.o.d! It's really you! We couldn't believe it when we heard that you had agreed to model for M.C. Hahaha! I'm so excited." Ann was telling Alexa with a big smile plastered on her face.

"Yes! We really are. And you know that Eva would be modeling with you and Ann still trying her best to get approval from the big-big boss. " Lea interjected

"I was hesitating to do a runway, but when cousin Ann told me that you would be here...- I found the courage and agreed. Hahaha!" Eva was telling Alexa excitedly.

"Hey, guys remember my friend back in the White House. Ria Flora..." Alexa introduced Ria to the three women, in case they had forgotten her.

When Lea heard the name, she quickly turned her attention to Ria Flora and stopped for a minute and looked at her up and down, then stopped in her middle section. When she couldn't find what she was looking for, then she quickly hugged her future sister-in-law.

"Welcome to the family! Logan told me that you guys were planning on getting married here, is that correct?" Lea whispered for only Ria to hear. Ria nodded, and Lea quickly announced it to everyone.

Ria was so embarra.s.sed that Lea had done it, but it was too late as everyone was congratulating her already in return. Including Alexa, who already knew about it a long time ago.

"Why don't we all sit down, why are we all standing here," Ann told everyone, and they moved to the sofa set where Sophia was standing still and not saying a word. Ann saw the way Sophia was looking so pale and white then, went to her mother and asked, "Mother, are you alright? Why do you look like you have just seen a ghost?" Ann was curious and worried at the same time.

"Huh! Oh, nothing! Nothing, sweetheart! Come, let's all sit down." Sophia had to hold on to Ann's arms to help her sit down. Her legs were shaking, and she was still in shock, unable to shake it off.

Ms. Garcia, who was standing and waiting for everyone to finish greeting each other, finally spoke to introduce herself to everyone. "h.e.l.lo, everyone! I'm Christina Garcia, Alexa's manager."

When Sophia heard her voice, her face became much whiter than it already was. She couldn't believe what she was hearing...- First, it was Alexa who had shocked her, for she looks exactly like her cousin Chrissy Wen, then Ms. Garcia,... Her voice sounded just like Chrissy, but not the look. The height, yes! Nothing else resembled Chrissy Wen. 'How could this be?' Sophia was thinking to herself.

Ann, Lea, and Eva returned her greetings. Ms. Garcia then went back to talking excitedly with Alexa trying to find out about Prince Alex and Ramon.

Ria excused herself and went outside with Edna to prepare some refreshments for the ladies.

Ms. Garcia decided to be a party p.o.o.per and stopped the girls from talking so they could go on with the business at hand. However, Sophia was still stunned and speechless that she did not know what to say or do at the moment...

The women stopped talking and turned serious for a moment. They were ready to listen to whatever it is that they needed to discuss. However, what came out of Sophia's mouth has nothing to do with the business at hand. Instead, she asked Alexa a question.

"Miss Grant, may I ask you a question?" Sophia asked while staring straight at Alexa.

"Yes, Ma'am! Please, do!"

"What is your mother's name?" Sophia was holding her breath while she was waiting for Alexa's response.

"President Wen, I'm sorry! I don't mind answering what you just asked me. But may I ask why are you asking what my mother's name is?" Alexa curiously asked in return because she needed to know. She had this gut feeling that President Wen knew something, that was why she turned pale all of a sudden.

"If you answer me, then I would also tell you why. Is that fair enough?" Sophia did not want to divulge anything yet, in case she was not Chrissy's daughter.

"Well, I never met my mother for she died when I was still a baby. However, in my birth certificate, it indicated that her name was...Chrissy Chen Wen"

"WHAT?!!!" Ann and Eva had exclaimed in unison loud enough for everyone to hear. While Sophia nearly pa.s.sed out from happiness when she listened to what Alexa said...

Ms. Garcia, who was sitting quietly, listening to the whole conversation, seemed to be in deep thought. Then she started screaming...

"Ahhhh!!!!" She kept on hearing someone saying or calling a name over and over.- The name was...

Unfortunately, before she heard the name, everything went blank, and she had pa.s.sed out.
