One Night With The Prince 153 She Could Die

"Daniel, what's wrong?" Alexa quickly lifted little Jeffrey and got up to meet her brother halfway.

Everyone turned their attention to Daniel as he embraced his sister, sandwiching little Jeffrey in the middle. And he didn't like it one bit, and he tries to push Daniel away as hard as his small hand could do.

When Daniel wouldn't budge, little Jeffrey grabs a hand full of his hair, " Mine!" He cries out.

Jeff and Ann quickly got up, and both went to take their devilish son from Alexa to give her a chance to console her brother comfortably. 

"Come here, you little devil!" Jeff took his son away from Alexa's embrace. The boy started making a scene and screaming from the top of his lungs. Jeff has no choice but to take him out of the dining room.

Daniel straightened his hair first before calmly went and found a chair to sit down followed by Alexa. With sadness visible on his handsome face, he told everyone why he looked gloomy as he walked in the dining room.

"My mother had collapsed and currently in ICU. The problem is that she has not wakened up yet and in a coma. They couldn't give me much detail, and my father is with her now. So, I can't ask him either. I will need to leave asap, and I only came to bid everyone goodbye." Daniel spoke with his voice, almost cracking and about to burst into tears.

Alexa, who decided to sit next to Daniel, pushed her chair closer. "Ohhh, I'm sorry to hear that." She then embraced him once more to give him comfort.

"Do you want me to go with you? How about Andrea? She would go with you, right? The fas.h.i.+on show would not be for another month. She could make her preparation over there as much as she could do here in the Philippines.." Alexa was doing her best to coax Daniel to take Andrea with him back to the States. He would need someone by his side, and as much as she wanted too, she's not considered a family member to them yet...

"I'm going! I just finished speaking with M.C., and he has no issue of me doing my preparation back in the States. We only need to back to the hotel and get our things, and we would be leaving asap." Andrea informs everyone as she came in.

"Good! That's good! As I said, I could join you too, but I don't think it's a good idea for there's going to be a lot of reporters there. So, I'll wait for you guys to call me and let me know how things are?" Alexa's said it with a trembling voice, and sadness was clouding her beautiful face. She then put her two palms in her face, and not a moment pa.s.sed by and started sobbing uncontrollably.

Prince Alexander's heart was breaking, and he quickly got up from his chair and pulled Alexa into his embrace. "Shsss! Is not the end of the world, I'm sure someday they would be able to announce you as part of the family and if they do not... I will be announcing to the world that you're my one and only. So, smile and make the whole world happy." He then kissed her temple as tender as he could.

After hearing the word that Prince Alexander said for everyone to hear, Alexa felt a lot better and stopped sobbing. She then lifted her face and smiled sheepishly for everyone to see.

Daniel and Andrea bid everyone goodbye and left soon after, leaving only Alexa and Prince Alexander to head to the Resort. 

Logan and Ria requested extended leave so that they could prepare for their wedding. Since they were not severely needed, Alexa agreed and informed them that she would take full responsibility if President Grant or Daniel questioned them. 

Since Daniel had left, and Logan and Ria were still gone. Alexa only had a few secret services left to protect her. Therefore, Prince Alexander called for a couple more bodyguards to attend to them. Everything was set, Prince Alexader and Alexa's group head to the Resort without delay.

Before heading to the Resort, Prince Alexander sent Pierre back to Stonasia to inform the King's advisors about the Billion dollars deal for the Kingdom, and to let them know that he's in the process of obtaining a wife soon...

Meanwhile, Dr. Garcia was in turmoil. He's concerned about Chrissy's health. The last result of her examination was showing that the blood clot inside her brain was spreading and it could affect her severely. 

For the last 18 years, he was able to suppress it from growing. Only by injecting her with the serum he created to keep her memory sealed, would he be able to stop the blood clot from growing and spreading all over her brain.

However, in the last five years, he saw it dramatically changed, and it worries him. If it continues, Chrissy could not only lose her memory; she could also die...

Dr. Garcia was wrecking his brain, thinking of what he could do to stop it from happening. He was ashamed and felt remorse that he had to suppress her memory for many years. But, that's his only option to keep her alive. 

There were many times that he wanted to tell her about her daughter in the Philippines. But, he hesitated, since she has no idea about her past life and it could also affect her thinking and might cost her life in return. Instead, he had done his best to support the unknown child. 

He continued sending monthly allowance to Grandmother Santos to ensure that the child would never go without. Unfortunately, the only mistake was, he never checked on them once. Thus, he never knew that Chrissy's child had lived a life of poverty for all her eighteen years of life.

"Ahhhh! What should I do now? I don't have enough funding to create the formula she needed to shrink that blood clot, and I'm running out of time. G.o.d! Help me get funding for this serum I needed to create, I can't let her die...!" Dr. Garcia sobs uncontrollably with the thought of losing the only woman he ever loved and devoted his life.
