Fall For Me 44 Suffocation

After they said their goodbyes Jun packed away blacky in a sheath around his waist that he got from Grandpa Yun. He and Bu Fan went back into the car and went home.

The gates to the Xing family's ma.s.sive mansion swung open as the car drove through. Once they arrive back at the mansion another butler opens up the door for them. Bu Fan and Jun both manage to weave through this maze to his father's office.

Bu Fan stood before the door as he opens it up. Jun then enters as he saw his dad sitting in front of an oakwood pattern desk. His dad was reading a dark blue book with a red semi circle in the center.

"h.e.l.lo dad," Jun greeted.

"Mhmm."

There was a long tense awkward silence as Jun didn't know how to continue the conversation. He didn't want to just say that he came back to get the rest of the technique, or the fact that he came back just because of someone attacking him.

Bu Fan came to the rescue. "Xing Tian your son has recovered his cultivation."

"So?"

"He has recovered it through the Black Empyrean White Fiend G.o.d method. The young master needs the rest of the volume."

"Mhmm."

"Not only that but the young master has be the target of an a.s.sa.s.sination."

"Its better if he quits right now or he's gonna end up like his mother."

"Xing Tian," Bu Fan said coldly. "I don't care what issues you have with young master but do not use Xu Hua's name in contempt."

For the first time Jun's dad looks up. "Xu Hua left the volume in my hands Bu Fan. She put her trust in me and I will not have my son end up the same way!"

"Dad."

"You shut your mouth."

"Tian! Your son has proven over and over to you that he surpa.s.s even Xu Hua in talent. Will it kill you to acknowledge him."

"Will talent alone prevent the upcoming tragedy? Will sheer will power or some bulls.h.i.+t friend power bring him back from depravity? Xu Hua has told me that since the creation of this technique no one in her family no matter how talented they were, was able to overcome the side effects. You of all people should be on my side at this moment."

"Xing Tian a disaster is coming for your family and your willing to hold your son back just because you can't put your trust in your own son? What would Xu Hua say if she was here?"

"She would say the same thing."

"Dad I might not be 100% sure that I can overcome the side effects but I know I can accomplish what mom couldn't. Please give me a chance to prove it."

"A war is coming Xing Tian whether you like it or not. Neither you or I can protect the young master. Stop trying to control your son's destiny and let him free."

"You think this is about control? I am preventing him from making a foolish mistake. I have seen with my eyes what this method can do."

"And so have I," Bu Fan countered. "I have seen it far more times than you can ever imagine."

"He doesn't know anything. This is the best choice for him. He has recover his meridians. He can cultivate again. It doesn't have to be this method."

"Do you know what the most suffocating thing in the world is? It is not being dominated by someone stronger. Or rising up against an unbeatable enemy. It is having your love ones decide what they think is best for you without ever consulting you, because they think they know whats best for you. The young master places family love above all else and although he can be head strong sometimes he has always listened to you. An enemy you can rise against, and direct your hatred and motivation against them. There is an outlet of release. You can never truly direct hate at a family member who has your best interest at heart. Even if their constant tyranny over your life decisions is slowly suffocate them to death. They can never hate you and that build up will cause a trauma that is far more dangerous than any side effect this technique can have."

"You rather I let my son die then have me make a couple decisions for him?"

"When has he made a decision that you never interfered with? No matter what he does as long as it doesn't agreed with your philosophy you have been steering him on your path. I have seen this over and over again. At first I didn't think much of it but then I realize why he was never able to break through to the King's realm until that day. It was because of you. You have been shackling and chaining your own son's talent and genius while thinking you know whats best for him. Parents are there to support and guide their children on their own path. Not forcefully steer them towards their's. Yes sometimes we would all hope our children would become more like us but just because they choose a different path doesn't make them a disappointment."

Hearing all that Jun finally steeled his heart against his dad. "Dad I want to tell you that regardless of whether you give me the rest of the volume or not I will be practicing in this technique. I know the consequences and I am old enough to a.s.sume the risks involved. I have people that I want to protect and my current strength is not strong enough. Even if I turn into something no better than a beast I will still follow this path because its the only way to protect the people that I love."

Xing Tian finally puts down the book he was reading. "You think you are strong now that you practice this technique? You think this shortcut will give you the ability to protect the people that you love?"

"Yes."

Xing Tian grabs the side of his s.h.i.+rt then rips it off. Across his chest was a huge claw scar. "Your mother and I were in love. Yet she still ended up nearly killing me because that technique."

Then he chuckles sarcastically. "I have lived far longer than you. I have seen far more and know far more than you too. You think your a genius just because you can make pills that those old farts can't do? We live in a desolate location. The geniuses here are nothing but dimes in the dozen at the capital."

"Its always that same condescending tone with you isn't it.:

"No I'll give you a chance," he said as he whips out a ring. "In this ring everything regarding the Black empyrean white field G.o.d method. From body refinement, techniques, to the eye art."

He then took a string and looped it through the ring before tying it on the back.

"Take this from me and you can have it."

"…" Jun was left speechless as he knows his father is in the heaven's realm and his true cultivation was still in the martial realm. This is a difference of three realms. Its like a 3 year old going up against a UFC fighter. The gap is way too huge.

"I will not be suppressing my cultivation. You have 24 hours to take it from me." He said shamelessly.

What the f*ck you mean you're not going to suppress your cultivation! This is straight up bullying! I always thought family would be the easiest obstacle but who knew they would be the hardest. Jun could feel anger rising up in his chest.

Lightning surge through Jun's body like a great wave as he disappears from the spot and reappears before his dad as his hand rush forward like a snake's strike trying to grab the ring around his dad's neck.
