The Atlantean Compensator 3 Fate's Descent 1

'Herald has never openned his eyes so wide, funny how he now got three of them.

He's not even sure how his brain are able to process what the third eye is making him witness...

But in almost an automatic manner, he observed what he first recognized as rayons, or energy waves coming out of every person his eye could land on, above each one of their head there was a screen big enough for him to see clearly what its showing.'

'At this particular moment, Herald hasn't even stepped one step out of his door. he froze in the presence of his moment with his jaw almost reaching the ground in disbelief...

Out of nowhere, his neighbour, Zobatch. Was pa.s.sing him by and noticed the weird look on Herald's face,'

Zobatch approaches Herald and greets him, "Hey Herald, what's with the look? It seems like you're looking at a monster"

'Herald, s.h.i.+fts his gaze to his neighbor. Whom he has a nice relation with since the day he came over to this neighborhood. At first, he was thinking of what would be a good response but before he could come up with any, the waves coming out of Zobatch and the screen over his head completely distracted him.

He could do nothing else but watching it..'

'Herald, fearing of looking like a complete fool. Instinctively hid his forehead using his hand (without making it seem suspicious), which stopped all the images it was revealing,

Finally, he could answer his neighbor.'

Herald, all nerveous and sweaty, "Oh Haha...Hey Zo, ..it's nothing. I was just imagining things, you know how my imagination goes wild, to add things for my writings and such..."

Zobatch, "Oh i see, you gotta quit being that much of an artist my friend, you're making me jealous lol"

Herald, "Yeah, you're right actually, it's snapping me out of reality a lot lately"

Zobatch, "Anyways, then i guess you're good. Have a nice evening."

Herald, "Oh haha.. Yes, thank you..You're going somewhere by the way?"

Zobatch, "Yes, to the usual place, you're welcome to join us. Allthough i know you don't like our company" said ironically.

Herald, "I enjoy yours though, have fun man.."

Zobatch smiled and went on his way...

'Herald came to the conclusion of many things concerning his eye...which resorted in this long monologue.

"...This eye can see FATE. Yes, it can only be that!! In the brief moment i looked at the people in the street, Ive seen what each one will do, say or happen to them, in the next 5 minutes. I am not sure how i couldve seen all of them simutaneously, in almost seconds...But watching Zobatch's screen made me realise it. As crazy as it is, and nothing should surprise me at some point at this rate, I've seen and heard the exact same conversation we had happening before we even had it. I knew he was heading to the closest bar to grab a drink with his friends, so i asked him to make sure of it...

This is just..SURREAL! "

Herald, even when having understood some key elements to his third eye, didn't fully accept the conclusions he came up with. It's as if he's now a gaming character put in the real world.

His last desire was to go out having to see the fate of every person his eye-sight can catch.

Herald suddenly, laughed and thought to himself, "How did i not think of just, closing it? It's an eye at the end of the day."

And so it is, he closed his third eye just like he did to the ones he was born with. and so he looked back outside, to the usual view he always had, or maybe he thought...

Was really glad for a moment.

But that didn't make him forget one bit about what he decided to do. If anything, he's now more determined and curious, to step as far away as possible from his comfort zone.

He seems to be secretly enjoying this start of a long, long journey.

*Herald's phone is ringing..*

*Herald looks at his phone.*

'The contact name says "Brother and not just a friend"

This is what he always called one of his best friends since 7 years ago...'

Herald, "Hey brother."

Yussein, "Yo babyboi, we cruising in our place. Me and the gang!"

Herald, "Oh really? It's been quite some time we've last been all together"

Yussein, "Yeah so dont miss it out and come here, we're waiting for you"

'Herald thought for a moment, and asked himself whether it is the right move to do after all the recent events. But still agreed on coming, Herald always loved his dear friends so dearly. They aren't too many but they stayed true through thick and thin, All 11 of them, since their teenaging ages.

Yussein, Aylal, Zeko, Oumad, Leon, Miguel, Shahzalem and Iscariot.
