Her Unfortunate Fate Turned Fortunate 23 Awkward Lunch

At Yu company

The talk about father and daughter duo had spread like wild fire just in few minutes. It's the breaking news of Yu company.

The talk also reached Elder Yu, Yu Feng and Yu Yuri. The most happiest was elder Yu he thought he wouldn't see the two being affectionate to each other and would die with guilt. But G.o.d has listened to his prayer.

'Couldn't they have invited me as well.' He thought grumpily.

'I will take my revenge for this.' He grinned naughtily.

Nevertheless he was happy.

It was late afternoon and the cafeteria was almost empty. Yu Yuri was having her lunch near the huge gla.s.s window. Her mind seemed occupied.

"I heard Uncle Kong is having lunch with his daughter."

Yu Feng saw Yu Yuri sitting alone with disturbed face.

"Yeah it's been a long time they had some alone time. I'm happy for them." Yu Yuri replied with a gentle smile.

'b.i.t.c.h please you must be cursing them inside but acting all righteous and happy outside. You're much sicker than me.' Yu Feng snorted.

"Yeah true. After all blood is thicker than water. Enjoy your lonely time." Yu Feng left with a smirk plastered on her face.

At restaurant

Yu Kong has appointed a special chef to serve them lunch.

The table was filled with various dishes regional cuisine Cantonese, Fujian, Shandong and Szechuan.

Every dish he had ordered is all Yu Han's favorite when she was a child. He was nervous, although he did ordered few dishes which he had seen her having in gatherings and business meeting but most of the dishes are her childhood favorite.

Anna was contemplating, all the dishes looks delicious but most of it were not of her liking. In her previous life she had allergies towards prawns but now it is Yu Han's favorite.

She didn't wanted to disappoint Yu Kong.

Anyways I'm just a soul in someone else's body so I shouldn't complain much.

The lunch was rather awkward both didn't know how to have a normal conversation with each other so Yu Kong switched the topics to business.

After having their lunch both came back to Yu company and Yu Kong walked Anna till her chamber.

"Dad I was searching for you." Yu Yuri called him very affectionately, she was holding a file in her hand.

"I need your sign on this doc.u.ment." Yu Yuri handed the doc.u.ment to Yu Kong.

Yu Kong frowned.

"Yu Yuri have you forgotten the manners when and where to give such doc.u.ments."

That doc.u.ment was very confidential so Yu Kong sounded little harsh.

"Sorry Dad, I thought of giving it during the lunch break but you were with sister and I didn't wanted to disturb you both.." Yu Yuri held her head low, she was guilty.

"Don't repeat it next time." Yu Kong patted her head.

Anna watched the white lotus drama boringly.

"Dad, thanks for the lunch. I'm leaving first." Anna couldn't stand it anymore.

Yu Kong nodded with a smile and left with Yu Yuri.

Anna got busy in work. Few minutes later Zu Penny entered her cabin.

"Ms Yu, someone is looking for you."

"Who?" Anna asked without looking up.

"He introduced himself as a.s.sistant Cao Lang, he said he'll be waiting for you in parking lot."

Anna was confused.

'Who is he?'

'Is he someone Yu Han know?'

Not thinking too much Anna picked her phone and left to meet the person.

At parking lot Anna saw a black Mercedes-Benz. Next to it stood a tall guy dressed in black suit. Anna couldn't remember him.

"h.e.l.lo Ms Yu. I'm a.s.sistant Cao Lang, President Ji Yang asked me to escort you to Hotel Grand." Cao Lang said politely and opened the car back door. He wasn't giving her a choice.

Anna frowned. Doesn't he have basic manners to ask my opinion. And what does Ji Yang wants to do with me?

"Did I say I'll go with you." Anna raised her eyebrows crossing her arms.

"President Ji told me not to return without you. So please cooperate with me Ms Yu." Cao Lang almost begged. He can't go back without her and he also can't offend her after knowing her relations.h.i.+p with his boss.

Cao Lang was in tight position.

Anna was ready to reject but seeing his pleading eyes she couldn't say no and she also needs to clarify things with him for once and all.
