Inside a cla.s.sroom.

"What do we do? The boss says she's on her way right now!" A man with disheveled hair said nervously.

Another man with gla.s.ses glares and smacks the other on the head. "You idiot! How could you overlook such an important piece of information?"

"I—"

"Yes, please do tell me how you failed to inform me of such important information."

Startled, both men turn in the direction of the cold voice. The two men saw a small figure standing in between the door, their eyes concealed by a pair of dark shades.

Despite the shades on, the two felt a chill run down their spines as they felt the others' fierce stare on them.

"B-Boss!" The man with messy hair's spine goes rigid.

"Answer the question." Mimi's tone was sharp. "How did you miss it?"

s.h.i.+vering, the man bows his head. "Well, the media they didn't—"

Mimi scoffed with a laugh, "If I needed such useless and glamorized information I would have hired someone from the media. But I didn't. Instead, I hired the two of you to inform me of all of Hiro Corporation's movements."

Her intense gaze landed on the man who spoke. "That includes their future plans with other companies in and out of the country."

"Y-Yes!" Both nodded their heads.

"You say that…yet how come I wasn't informed Hiro Corporation was reaching out to other countries for collaboration?" Mimi's eyes behind her shades darkened.

"I don't know boss, honest! I did as you said and hacked into their system unnoticed." The man walked to a computer resting on a desk and approached Mimi with it. "We even had a few hidden bugs around the place but there was no information about Hirogori Corporation reaching out to other countries."

Mimi frowned as she looked at the data on the computer.

He was right, there were no issues with the program, and everything was working perfectly fine.

Then how did Senior Su access such information?

Mimi's eyes narrowed as she thought of it. Based on what she knew of Senior Su, it wasn't possible for her to obtain such information secretly.

Unless someone told her.

"d.a.m.n it!" Mimi cursed, her fists slamming fiercely against a nearby desk.

This meant there was still so much information she didn't know about her father's company!

Just when she thought she was in control, something like this happens!

Mimi glowered down at the floor and finally made a decision. Taking out her phone, she quickly dialed a number and spoke in a light tone.

"I need your help with something."

The voice on the other end was deep, their tone tired. "What? Not even a h.e.l.lo? You haven't called me in a year and this is how you greet me? It seems like the little fox still has no manners."

After nagging, the person on the other end huffs. "What is it you want from me?"

Mimi giggled, her body leaning against the wall. "Just a small favor, that's all."

The man scoffed, "There's no such thing as a small favor when it comes to you."

Mimi's eyes shone darkly. "I need you to hack into the Hirogori company system and transfer their recent contracts and partners.h.i.+ps to me."

"You're still on with that Hirogori stuff?"

Mimi's smile stiffened as she said between gritted teeth, "Will you do it or not?"

The voice chuckled, "I'll do it, but why can't you do it? Aren't you capable?"

"Of course I am, but have you ever heard of being lazy?"

"Fine. I'll send it to you tomorrow. Don't forget my payment, little fox." The voice sighs.

"Mmm." Mimi nodded before hanging up.

After ending the call, Mimi's phone suddenly rang. Confused, Mimi looks at the caller ID and her eyes widened.

It was Tobias Itou.

Smiling gently, Mimi answers the call.

"h.e.l.lo, Toby!"

The two men in the room stared at Mimi with disbelief.

Why…Why did bosses voice suddenly sound so cute?!

They somewhat felt it was kind of scary.

"Did you resolve everything?" Tobias's voice was low, his tone slightly cautious.

"Hmm?"

Mimi suddenly recalled what transpired at the restaurant and felt like slapping herself in the face.

Ah! How could she forget that? She was so distracted by the news she heard about the Hirogori's that she forgot about her surroundings.

Based on Tobias's hesitant tone, it was clear he was cautious about her current mood, especially after she snapped at him.

"Oh that, yes I just finished! Don't worry it wasn't as serious as I made it seem, just a minor situation."

On the other end, Tobias sighed while sinking in his chair. He was relieved. For the past half hour, he debated with himself on whether or not he should call Mimi.

What if she was busy?

Was she still in a bad mood?

What if he called her when she was suddenly in a serious situation?

So many thoughts had run through his head before he finally decided to call her.

To his relief, she was alright. Detecting no change in her tone, he finally released the breath he was holding.

"Are you free right now?"

"Mhm! Although I'll have to check with my boss, he's pretty strict when it comes to my work."

"I don't think he'll mind. If he has a problem, I'll have a talk with him." Tobias chuckled softly.

"If you say so. I'll see you in an hour!" Mimi glanced at the crooked clock on the wall.

Tobias smiled, "Okay, I'll see you then."

Mimi hung up with a soft grin on her face. As if suddenly remembering where she was, the smile on her face disappeared.

"I'll have a new program transferred for you to use." Mimi begins walking out of the cla.s.sroom.

About to leave, Mimi halts and turns to look at the two. "If this happens again, don't expect to be let off easy. I don't need a bunch of idiots working under me."

"Yes, boss!" Both men bowed their heads low.

Nodding her head, Mimi closes the door behind her as she walks out. The two men release a breath of relief and stare at one another anxiously.

Never had they seen their boss look so...normal. It was terrifying!

Wiping the sweat off his brows, the man with gla.s.ses sighs. "Come on, let's get back to work. I don't want a repeat of today's horror show."

"Right…"

Arriving in front of Glory Trade Corporation in her baseball cap and dark shades, Mimi takes the secret route inside to avoid attraction.

Due to Mimi's frequent visits, Tobias informed her of a hidden room to his office.

Standing in front of Tobias's office, Mimi doesn't hesitate to open the door.

Entering the room, Mimi was startled by the scene before her. Her body immediately tensed in response to the figure in front of her, a dark glint shone within her eyes.

What was he doing here?

Standing in Tobias's office, his tall body dressed in an Italian tailored suit and his brown hair neatly pushed back was Kenji Hirogori.

Her eldest half-brother.
