The next few days pa.s.sed, until the day of her 'date' with Emilia Yimo arrived. As she was preparing to leave and meet Emilia, Mimi received a message from Shen Jue.

Mimi's face immediately darkened and she s.h.i.+vered. She took a few steps away from the man and scrutinized him suspiciously.

Though she knew he was considered close to her father, he still wasn't one to share personal information.

After getting dressed, Mimi walked into the room, smoothing out the nonexistent wrinkles on her pure white coat. Shen Jue looked up from his laptop and suddenly arched a brow.

The always teasing, mischievous girl at the moment had her hair meticulously combed back, revealing her extremely gorgeous features.

Her dazzling purple eyes were replaced by a pair of bright green contacts, the faintest hue of purple still present. She was dressed gentle and elegant with a trace of sharp arrogance.

"Well don't you look handsome? I'm sure all the women there will be fawning over you."

Shen Jue chuckled and watched as the girl struggled to tie the silk fabric around her neck.

Without stealing him a single glance, she turned her heels and left. Shen Jue stood in silence and bore a dull expression. After a while, his lips curled into a sneer.
