In response to the familiar nickname, he'd always call her, Emilia's previous expression of shyness transformed into embarra.s.sment, and then rage.

"You--!"

Tilting her head innocently to the side, Mimi arches her brows. "Hmm? What's wrong? I am only stating the facts."

Fuming even further towards her words, Emilia grits her teeth resentfully.

She had forgotten on their first encounter what a shameless being Andras really was. He practically pretended to flirt with her so he could steal her necktie!

"You…You dare talk to me that way?"

"En, I do," Mimi replied lightly.

"My father is a superior figure in this industry! Once he hears what you said to me, he'll…"

Before Emilia could finish her sentence, a soft jade-like finger pressed gently against her lips.

Yet unlike the tender touch on her lips, the look in the young boy's eyes was anything but sweet and tender. A dark shadow clouded over them as a smile laced beautifully on her lips.

"Ms. Yimo, I don't enjoy being threatened. Especially by someone like you." Mimi smiled as she withdrew her finger from Emilia's lips. "And for your information, I have every right to speak to my employees that way if they're not doing their job correctly or causing trouble in my company. Don't forget while you're here your status means nothing to me or those around you."

The more Mimi spoke the more silent Emilia became, her previous rage put on hold as she stared stunned.

"Now, since we let that all out. How about I have Jean explain to you your job again, and this time she'll be sure to ask if you have any questions along the way."

Jean's brows twitch towards her words. Why did she have to do it again?

Last time she checked, Mimi's entire schedule was empty as she cleared it just so she could evilly spy on Ms. Yimo.

Sighing, Jean inwardly shook her head.

"Ms. Yimo, this way please."

Emilia was too angry and humiliated to speak, but upon hearing Jean's voice did she snap.

"No, I won't! I quit!" Emilia stomped her foot angrily. "I don't want to work for an arrogant, shameless, playboy for another second!"

Not allowing the two the chance to speak, Emilia lifts her chin high and storms away from them.

With an unreadable expression, Mimi watches Emilia's figure fade away. After a few moments of staring down at the floor, did Mimi walk toward the elevator.

Jean observed the young girl's lack of expression from the start and furrowed her brows.

What was with this reaction? Did Ms. Yimo's words affect into going silent?

Entering the elevator, Jean presses the b.u.t.ton for the top floor and stands beside Mimi, who continued to drop her head towards the floor.

Her reaction seemed completely out of Jean's expectation of the girl. Usually, she'd be laughing up a storm or saying something perverted, yet not a sound came out of her.

Just as Jean was about to ask if she was all right, the sound of a m.u.f.fled giggle escaped the girl.

Mimi burst out into fits of squeals and giggles, her bright eyes turning to look at Jean.

"Jeanie, did you hear what she called me? She called me an arrogant, shameless, playboy!" Mimi squealed.

Winding her arms around her shoulders, a blissful smile spread across her rosy lips.

"I don't know why but I've always wanted to be called a playboy. Who knew it'd feel so pleasurable!"

Jean stared at the girl with disbelief, her eyes behind her gla.s.ses wide. She merely watched as the girl twirled her body around with a look of ecstasy and a few squeals escaping from her.

"Hey, Jeanie did you record any of that? I don't think I was ever turned on so much from something! Here, feel!"

"Ah…Ms. Mimi," Jean quickly had interrupted her before things took a turn for the worse. "What are you going to do about Ms. Yimo quitting? Didn't you promise to have her trained by the end of the month?"

Frowning at the change in subject, Mimi sighs. She lazily twirled a strand of loose hair from the top of her forehead.

"I'm not worried," Mimi said gently. "Besides, I made no promises. What I can do, I do. What I can't, I won't do."

"But…"

"Jeanie," Mimi bestowed a slow indifferent smile. "Every so often you just need to patiently wait for a dog to come back after they've run away."

When the elevator door opened, Mimi turned and stepped out to walk toward her office. Seeing the girl walk away, Jean quickly followed after her.

"Eh? Sweet pea what are you doing home so early? Aren't you working at Andras's company today?"

At the Yimo Mansion, Emilia Yimo walked through the front door and frowned bitterly. Noticing the unpleasant expression on his young daughter's face, Louis Yimo's expression soon became alert – all his previous attention on his work became focused on his daughter.

"What's wrong? Did something happen?"

Pausing her steps, Emilia's face reddened upon recalling the events that had taken place not long ago.

"I quit!"

"What, why? Didn't you just start?"

"You don't understand daddy!" Emilia pitifully walked toward her father, crystal tears soon welling up in her silver eyes. "That Andras is nothing but a shameless, arrogant playboy!"

Puckering his brows, a frown formed on his face. Louis Yimo motions his daughter to sit beside him.

"Tell father what happened, from the beginning."

And so, Emilia began explaining the events that took place.

Although most of her words were dramatized and twisted, Louis Yimo was an intelligent man who knew his daughter well. He could easily pick apart the parts that were true and untrue – slowly piecing them together to get the full story.

After Emilia finished with a teary expression, Louis Yimo sighed heavily.

"Emilia, I want you to go back to the company and properly apologize to Andras."

"What?" Emilia stared at her always doting father with disbelief. "B…But daddy you heard what I said! He didn't even have the decency to show up when I arrived!"

"Yes, because he was busy doing his own work."

Pouting, Emilia lowers her head with a huff. Identifying his daughter's expression, Louis Yimo sighs gently.

"Emilia, the reason I wanted you to work for Andras was for this very reason. The boy may be slightly arrogant in some ways, but he's a good influence on you. He's honest and not afraid to tell you no, despite knowing who you are."

Still remaining silent, Emilia crossed her arms with a wrinkled expression.

"After the incident with Landon…I wanted you to get an idea of what the real world was like. The world you were raised in. Otherwise, I fear you'll get hurt. I don't want anything bad to happen to you if one day I'm not here anymore. I want you prepared for situations like this."

Slowly, Emilia turned to look at her father. And for the first time, something stirred within her heart upon seeing her father's weary expression.

All of this…he did for her.

When she was little, her mother died from cancer. She was four-years-old at the time and wasn't heavily affected, but still, a part of her felt missing whenever she recalled her mother's warm embrace and kisses.

Her mother's death had a bigger impact on her father, yet from the beginning, he smiled. He smiled for her. Louis Yimo raised Emilia with love and care and never neglected his daughter.

However, his doting soon turned the girl spoiled. He took notice of her change of att.i.tude but didn't prevent it, because he a.s.sumed all children went through a spoiled phase.

She lavished his money without a care and attended events whenever she desired. Not once did she think of the effects her actions had on her father.

Emilia saw her father as a man who wasn't affected by anything – as if he was the emperor of the world.

If her mother's death didn't phase him, why should this? Those were the thoughts that always entered Emilia's head.

Yet seeing her father now, slight wrinkles on his face and a tired appearance, did Emilia finally see. Her father was human. A human who loved his daughter no matter what she did.

"Daddy…" Emilia's eyes started to burn as tears slowly turned down her face. "I'm sorry!"

Seeing his daughter cry loudly, Louis Yimo was shocked. Hastily wrapping his arms around his daughter, he gently patted her back as she sobbed. But his gentle act only made the girl cry harder in her father's embrace.

After a few minutes did Emilia's cries start to cease.

"I…I'll go back and apologize to Andras," Emilia hiccupped. "I'll go back and ask to work there again."

Surprise flashed on Louis Yimo's face. He didn't understand what suddenly changed the young girl's mind. A beaming smile flashed on his face and a hearty laugh escaped his mouth.

"En, good girl! Father's happy."

Peeking up at her father, Emilia's eyes squint.

"Is father really happy?"

Unsure of what she meant, Louis Yimo continues to smile. "En, very happy."

Pleased, a light smile spreads on the girl's lips. Suddenly, realizing her disordered and disordered appearance, Emilia jumps out of her father's embrace and fixes her hair with a light cough.

"Tomorrow I'll apologize to Andras. But for now, I'll be heading to my room to make some plans."

Twirling her heels around, Emilia walks up the stairs and towards her room. Watching his daughter walk away, Louis Yimo smiles and looks up at the ceiling.

"Looks like she's finally growing up."
