Evangeline turned to her back, but as usual, the empty seat of Eric greeted her view. She even occasionally glanced at the door whenever it swung open, but she would always be disappointed. She rested her chin on her palm as she looked outside the window.

Maybe his late.

Evangeline woke up early since she knew that Eric always goes to school early. He was rarely late.

Then she felt something on her back. Cold stares that reseeded the bones.

She didn't have to look to know who it was. It was those two girls who locked her up in the storage room yesterday.

Evangeline smirked.

They were probably wondering how she got herself out and why she didn't report them yet.

Well, fortunately for you girls. I fight out in the open, striking the very fabric which held all your arrogance – your wealth.

Only losers and cowards like you would plot behind people's back.

Evangeline didn't pay any more attention towards the two girls as her eyes kept on searching for Eric.

She didn't even glance towards her phone when it vibrated.

Meanwhile, behind Evangeline, Daniel was pretending to be scanning his notes while Sisley beside him was happily talking to Max.

But amidst to anyone knowing, Daniel was texting on his phone.

[Evangeline… can we talk later after school?]

Daniel was hesitating whether to press that send b.u.t.ton. In truth, he wanted to call her yesterday night to ask about her and Eric, but decided to forget about it since it was no longer his business.

But the image of Evangeline and Eric and that smile kept on haunting him.

And besides, he still owed her an apology.

Daniel frowned.

I only wanted to apologize to her to end things cleanly between us. That's all.

Then he pressed the send b.u.t.ton as his eyes darted towards the beautiful woman.

But no matter how long he stared, Evangeline didn't as much as give a glance towards her phone.

Daniel's brows knitted together once more and was about to message her again, but then the teacher came in and started the cla.s.s.

Daniel sighed as he hid his phone under his desk and absentmindedly listened to the teacher while his eyes would occasionally dart of towards Evangeline.

Unbeknownst to Daniel, Sisley could tell that he was checking Evangeline out. Even with the slight twitched or change of line of Daniel's eyes, Sisley knew that he was staring at Evangeline.

She knew from the slightly furrowed of his brows to the narrowing of his eyes to that quirked of his lips. Sisley could tell Daniel's mood since she had watched him for over eight years now.

Sisley chewed on her lip as she lowered her head. Her eyes burned with hate and jealousy.

She was not entirely oblivious. She knew one hundred percent that Daniel likes her, but it didn't mean that he had no longer any feelings for Evangeline. At least she knew that at some point there was a 'like' between the two.

She gripped her skirt as she calmed herself.

I must make Daniel to look only at me.

Meanwhile, in the entertainment building.

The modeling cla.s.s to where Jen belonged to was now temporary integrated into the entrainment cla.s.s. At least, until their teacher came out of the hospital after an operation.

Since the modeling students were not many, about ten, integrating them into the entertainment acting cla.s.s was no big deal. After all, most of their units were the same.

Jen picked a seat behind a gorgeous lady that could pa.s.s out as a model with her looks and physique. But then again, whether it was the acting or modeling students, all were extraordinary regarding looks and figures.

"Hi, is anyone seated here?" Jen flashed out her pearly white teeth, looking all friendly.

The gorgeous lady with dark eyes smiled in turn and Jen, a fellow female, couldn't help but admired the woman's beauty.

She had long smooth, silky straight black hair. Small oval shaped flawless face, cute straight nose, pouty pinkish lips, thick lashes and coupled by that dark round doe like eyes, she looked incredibly beautiful. Not to mention her smooth white porcelain skin that highlighted all her features.

"No. Go ahead." The gorgeous lady answered in a friendly tone, and Jen immediately sat and introduced herself.

"I'm Jen Combrelle." Jen extended her hand in all smiles.

The gorgeous lady was slightly surprised, then her smile widened.

"Angel Lin." Angel shook Jen's hand as they beamed at each other.

It was Jen's turn to be startled.

Who wouldn't know the number one beauty of the entertainment department?

It was even rumored that Angel Lin could rival Evangeline Heart as being the number one in the entire Academy.

While Evangeline was like a piece of ice sculpted blue rose in the desolate snow, sharp and fierce.

Angel Lin was the water lily, drifting peacefully in the pond, soft and gentle.

She is more beautiful in person than I thought. Jen mused and began to recall those rumors concerning the girl. Then her eyes flashed in thought.

"I know that it is out of the blue, but I heard that Evangeline is your cousin?" Jen asked, pretending that it was out of curiosity.

But in truth, Evangeline was her only link towards that man. So of course, she would grab any information regarding the woman.

She had already tried so many times to meet Asher Cole, yet unsuccessful every time. She also investigated him only to come out empty handed.

Jen couldn't be blamed for this as all information regarding the Cole's were extremely cla.s.sified. Allowing only superficial information to the public.

That b.i.t.c.h is my only lead to Asher.

At the mention of Evangeline's name, Angel's eyes turned dark, then it quickly disappeared as it came.

"Yes, but not by blood. Her father married my aunt." Angel answered calmly, her million-dollar smile still plastered on her face.

"Oh, right. Mr. Krisnov did remarry after his wife died. Are you and Evangeline close?" Jen probed.

Even with all her kind, friendly voice, Jen's eyes couldn't hide her disdain for Evangeline, and Angel noticed this too.

An idea popped into Angel's head.

She could use this girl to smudge Evangeline's name even more. Unlike her that could only fight the arrogant b.i.t.c.h in the dark, Jen could do anything she wanted being that she is the prime minister's daughter.

Angel abruptly lowered her gaze and plastered her sad and hurtful look. She bit her lower lip and refused to say anything.

Sometimes, not conveying would cause more reaction than speaking.

And true enough, Jen reacted from how Angel thought she would.

Jen frowned and raised her hand. "You know what, never mind. I can practically see it on your face."

Angel immediately interjected. "No, you're wrong…. E-Evangeline is…. E-Evangeline is… nice… to us…" Angel's eye turned moist as she avoided Jen's gaze as if she was scared.

Jen's brow furrowed even further. "Don't tell me that you're scared of her? Is she threatening you?"

Angel hesitated and bit her lips, then blinked away the moist in her eyes as she smiled sadly. "N-no… you got it wrong… E-Evangeline… s-she's… nice…"

Jen placed her hand on Angel's shoulder as she looked at the woman earnestly. "Tell me the truth. I can help you. Though we just met, I feel that we will be close friends from now on. So whoever bullies you, I will make sure to get revenge for you."

Of course, Jen didn't say those words without any intention. If she had someone to monitor Evangeline from the inside, her chances of meeting that man would double.

Angel inwardly smirked, then with a somewhat happy smile, she nodded. "Thank you… I too feel that we are going to be close friends."
