Tale Of A Knight 31 Volume 2: Chapter 21: Bad Luck Part 1

Ser Mekros Renow had gotten used to his former disciple arriving late, but this time, he came in to the house during the middle of the night.

'Nothing unusual, I guess'

Mekros muttered, before heading out, Bakit was already a squire, and if he takes the placement test and with Mekros's recommendation, he could become a full-fledged knight soon enough.

Mekros did not visit his family for a while, his nephew and niece used to look up to him, but now, as a cripple, he was not very sure what to do.

Rainir Renow, his niece, was an accomplished knight; she was one of the Ten Holy Swords, group of mightiest swordsmen inside the Tazak Kingdom, aside from the Sword Lord.

He used to be a warrior with limitless potential, but now reduced to a cripple who only walked forward to push his mangled body away from the graveyard.

The main reason he even went outside was for rehabilitation, supposedly, but Mekros knew his leg was never going to be the same as it was before… at the very least, the constant pain made him feel alive.

"Uggh, I am glad that was just a dream…"

Bakit's eyes opened wide as he realized that once again, he was not alone in bed.

But instead of Jansulu or Sala, it was someone else.

Silver Grey hair, a very different shade from those of the Aristan family members.

Aristan family members had pure platinum white hair and golden eyes, in this girl's case; the hair was closer to being ash grey or silver in general.

'She looks familiar…Oh no, it's Aristan mansion's maid'

Bakit made a rather sullen realization.

'I was sure I was alone when I climbed into bed so she must have come in while I was sleeping. She managed to sneak into the house without me or Mekros noticing. But why is she in the same bed and sharing the same blanket with me? Better question… is she….'

Bakit took a peek inside the blanket to get a better look.

Two round and perky lumps of flesh were staring right back at him.

Not too small, not too large, just the right size by his standards.

'Yep, she is.'

Buck naked

'I have encountered many strange people so far, some stranger than others. Pervy cross-dressing prince, an elf who wants nothing more than slice me with a giant axe, a mentor who cares more about brothels than teaching, a t.i.tan level swordsman who thinks training people to the brink of death is a good idea, an entire family filled with maniacs obsessed with strength, and now a maid who climbed into my bed naked. Man…Do I have a strange life or is it just me?'

"Mmm…" she was rubbing her eyes, it was clear she was waking up.

As her silver eyes now opened, she muttered.

"Good Morning, Lord Bakit"

"Lord Bakit my a.s.s! What the h.e.l.l are you doing here?!"

"I was sent by Lord Lonrow to serve your needs and to make sure you do not disappear again. It would be a tragedy if the fiancée of Lady Sulu were to vanish."

"So basically you are here to keep an eye on me, right?"

"That is correct"

"Go Home!"

"I am afraid I can't do that"

"Why not?"

"As a servant to Aristan Household, it is my duty to carry out the orders of my superiors, a failure is not tolerated. I would rather end my life rather than disappoint my lords."

"Ok, so if I force you to go, what will you do?"

"I will slit my throat for my failure…"

"Ok! You can stay!"

Bakit could not believe his situation. This maid, she was playing dirty.

"So, if that is your purpose for being here, why climb into my bed naked?"

"I thought it would make you happy"

"Not a bad offer, maybe later….Under different circ.u.mstances"

"Uhm… Master Bakit, if you don't mind?"

"What is it?"

"Lord Bakit, please, I am not worthy, you already have someone as wonderful as mistress Sulu; my small body is not fit to satisfy you…"

'What the h.e.l.l is she talking about? Oh…'

Bakit realized his left hand was squeezing something with all its might.

"Well, at the very least my fingers are still true to my soul"

'Skin on skin contact, how interesting, I have never actually touched one before, what do you even use them for anyways?'

Bakit squeezed the breast a little more before sighing.

"It is far more boring than I expected"

Bakit proceeded to stand up from the bed, followed by the nude maid.

"I am very sorry to disappoint you, Lord Bakit"

"Whatever…If I am stuck with you, the least you can do is tell me your name. I need to have something to call you by, right?"

"Of course, my name is Lin; I will be following you everywhere from now on"

"That is wonderful…."

Bakit couldn't help but question his life.

If he was a hunter seeking prey, he would have been delighted to have such a catch, but at the moment, knowing that she was a representative of Aristan Household made him very uneasy.
