I Hacked Everything 14 Hack Battle

Chris got pumped up and clicked on the start b.u.t.ton and typed rootbg in the search bar.

'Hopefully, Sarah was smart about this and downloaded the tool I use...'

Immediately a picture of a tree root and the name rootbg popped up. Chris smiled and clicked on it. A page similar to that of CMD popped up.

"Alright let's get started,"

Chris started to type with rapid speed.

As Chris was typing faster and faster, he started to sweat more and more.

'What the h.e.l.l? Why is their security so tough? I've gone through 3 dead ends already!'

In a small office in Koreatown...

"Boss, the system has found an intruder trying to crack into the Abyss Auction!" A plump bald man said.

"What?!" A man wearing a fur coat exclaimed. "Fatty Liu, you're the computer expert. Find his IP address and report it to the leader!"

"But sir, whoever this person is, he's pretty good. Every time I'm about to get him, he slips away like an eel," Fatty Liu said while looking a bit distressed.

"Well then, try your best to catch him! Remember that our leader will punish any incompetence," The man wearing the fur coat said. "Furthermore, I will also get punished for your incompetence so if you fail, not only will you have a low chance of coming out alive, I might even die,"

"Yes sir," Fatty Liu's face turned pale and he started to type furiously

"Boss, do you need me to help Fatty?" A skinny man next to Fatty Liu asked expressionlessly.

"No, there's no need, Fatty has not let a prey go yet. He'll get him eventually. It's just a matter of when,"

Back in the car...

After a couple of minutes however, Chris finally found a hole.

Chris started to type even faster and as his fingers got off the keyboard, the rootbg page disappeared and on Chris' screen were pictures of numerous crying girls wearing only their bras and on the bottom right were their age and price.

In the office...

"Boss, I lost the intruder..." Fatty Liu said dejectedly.

"What?!" The man wearing the fur coat replied. "You are one of the gang's best crackers and he was able to crack the security system with you helping?"

"Boss, this kid was way too good,"

While the 2 office men were lamenting over their loss, Chris was "fascinated" by what he was seeing.

"Lee Hru 15 years old $100,000... Jessica Montes 14 years old $75,000... Today's Targets: Chloe Green 16 years old (King High School). Wait Chloe Green... isn't that Chloe that I know?!" Chris was stunned and did not know what to say.

After a while, Chris came back to his senses and started to frantically strategize.

'Alright, at the very least, I can tell Sarah that Chloe is going to get kidnapped so as long as they protect her, they can also catch the enemy off guard!'

Chris got his phone out and called Sarah.

"What?! How?! She's literally at school. Is your FBI so s.h.i.+tty that you can't protect a person that's in school?!" Chris started to scream on the phone and the men in the car frowned after hearing Chris curse at them.

"I apologize. Both Hugh and Chloe ditched the school to go on a date, but like you said, they were planning to kidnap Chloe so they heavily injured Hugh, took Chloe and left the scene,"

"What?! Hugh was heavily injured too? How bad is it?" Chris asked with his breathing getting heavier.

"He has multiple stab wounds and even a gunshot wound in the leg. Right now, he's about to get a surgery, but the doctor says the surgery has a low chance of succeeding because there were so many injuries in so many different places,"

Chris stayed silent.

"h.e.l.lo?"

"h.e.l.lo?"

Chris hung up the phone and looked at the computer screen, hatred deep in his eyes.

'I swear to G.o.d that if I don't make those gangs pay, I'll go commit suicide in shame!' Chris thought as he opened rootbg and started to type again.
