Chang continued trudging along for a minute, then thought to call Justin to let him know what happened, and to let him know she was on the way. When she reached into the pocket of her pants to pull out her phone, she discovered it was no longer there. She immediately reached into the other pocket to check to see if her wallet and house keys were still in place. Everything was gone though. She patted everywhere on her body as if they would materialize somewhere else. It was just a cheap grocery store flip phone, so while it was a loss, Chang shrugged that off.

Her wallet though had been bought for her by Justin on their first shopping excursion together after she moved in with him. She had been at a period of extreme lowness at the time and his friends.h.i.+p was one of the reasons why she got through it. She almost cried at the thought again, but shook her head quickly dispersing them. She would come back later and try to find it, it only carried a couple dollars and her id, so she wasn't too worried about those being missing.

Soon she reached the restaurants front. The dark windows prevented anyone from seeing in, a sign stating the establishments name hung over a heavy door, the only indication that it was the right place. At night it would be lit up a hot pink, when the nighttime traffic lit up. It read 'La Vie En Rose', she had loved it just from the name, it being a song she favored by French artist Edith Piaf. SHe straightened her spine, adjusted the collar on her hopelessly stained white s.h.i.+rt and entered. Inside it was dimly lit, circular booths, large enough for parties of ten or more to sit comfortably, lined the edges of a dance floor where a small dis...o...b..ll hung with multicolored lights. A small bar sat to the right of the dance floor, a handsome young man wearing just a bow tie stood behind the bar polis.h.i.+ng gla.s.ses, the gla.s.ses refracting some of the light. She immediately felt overdressed seeing him in her white collared long sleeve and her black slacks, Justin hadnt told her what the dress-code was. There was no one seated in any of the booths as it would not open for another hour. At four the doors would open, and this place would bustle until 2 when it closed, Justin had told her.

She started looking for him immediately when he came flying out from a door she hadn't seen in her inspection. Like he had a homing beacon attached to him he flew right up to her. Justin Che had slightly spiked short black hair that accentuated his handsome features. He had twinkling black eyes, a long straight nose, and lips girls would die to kiss. He wore a mesh s.h.i.+rt which showed off his well toned body and 6- pack abs. Her worries about dress code were further amplified at the sight of his attire.

"Girl where have you been!- OH MY G.o.d!!" He started to go off at her late appearance then stopped short at the sight of her disheveled appearance. Her s.h.i.+rt was stained with who-knows-what and had a small tear towards the bottom. Her hair was a frizzy rats nest with what looked like some noodles stuck in it. Her face carried tell tale lines of mascara tears down her cheeks and her eyes were red and puffy with what looked like crying.

"What happened to you?! Girl are you OK. Tell me what happened," he encircled an arm around her shoulders and directed her to the nearest booth. with his free left hand snapped his fingers at the guy behind the bar.

"Yo Andre, rum and c.o.ke p.r.o.nto!" Justin called out behind him.
