Following A Whisper 13 I Tripped

There's really nothing I can do.

But to be honest, part of me wants him to see.Maybe he'll have a explanation for how this happened.But really, you think I would know by now.

Once the doctor pulls aside my blue bangs and see the place where my left eye used to be, he instantly jumps back.With the way that he's s.h.i.+vering in shock and staring, you'd think I was a alien.

It sure would explain a lot of things...Anyway,

"What...What the h.e.l.l?!"Is all that he manages to say.But after that, he doesn't make another noise.He just stand there and stares at my face.

It's really unsettling having someone as intense as the doctor staring at me for this long.It's like he wants to burn a hole in my head...Really rude.But after a moment he steps forward and pokes me.But he doesn't just poke me on the forehead or nose.No.

He pokes me straight in the eye.Or I guess, eye socket.

"Hmm...There doesn't seem to be an trauma to the muscles around it, and no signs of pain that would come from gouging your eye out.So how...Hmm.You seem like a clumsy girl, you probably just tripped on a stone and it popped out."...I'm really conflicted with this person.One minute he says something completely scientific, the next he only spouts total nonsense.

Not to mention the fact that he is making totally unfounded a.s.sumptions about me.

"That's right."I say after one too many moments.

"..."If I wasn't in a potentially dangerous situation right now, I'd definitely laugh at the expression he's making right now.It's like he's expecting to eat chocolate ice cream, but got cow dung instead.
