Chapter 9 Part 3 – Mom is coming!

After he saw Wu Xiaoshuang arrived, he whispered to her, “Please help me pay the things my mother have her eyes on first, I'll pay you back later.”

Wu Xiaoshuang smiled, “You received the ten thousand yuan already?”

Chen Minhao rolled his eyes at her and replied, “Yes, but I'm current in debt right now. I'll pay you back when I have the money.”

Chen Minhao had been in the industry for two years. As an unknown trainee, he had never record a song before. Although he never experience it before, he had saw how song recording works.

The process of song recording goes like this: 

Under normal circ.u.mstances, firstly, the song will need to be ready, and the singer learns how to sing it; Secondly, find a producer or music composer for music arrangement, which is what we usually call the production of music accompaniment; thirdly, enter the studio to start recording, and if the accompaniment requires a real instrument, the instrument (part of the accompaniment) is usually recorded first, and then the voice is recorded next. When the above procedure has completed, it is synthesized by the sound engineer. At this step, what you hear will be the Demo sample, also known as sample tape (refers to the composite sample without the compressing and the mixing, but generally, we cannot hear it). Lastly, mixing and compressing will happen in the post production stage and mastering of the song to become a master. The master will undergo ma.s.s processing in the factory to produce discs and be packaged.

As 《Little Love Song》 is “self-written” by Chen Minhao, a lot of steps could be skipped.

The recording went smoothly. The sound engineer was surprised at Chen Minhao's good performance in his first recording as normally, a relatively large gap exists between recording and singing, and especially when the one recording the song was Wan Anqi's junior brother. Once Chen Minhao opened his mouth, he seemed to have a heavy load taken off from his shoulders. Chen Minhao's voice did not sound strain, the lyrics are good, and he did not sing out of tune. Furthermore, he was giving his best in cooperating.

They called it a day before three o'clock, ahead of schedule.

Before they left, several of them took the initiative to add Chen Minhao's contacts details.

Although the recording went smoothly, Chen Minhao had a feeling that Kang Hui was in a bad mood since afternoon.

Immediately after the recording team left, Kang Hui instantly flew to Beijing on a plane after instructing Chen Minhao on the things to note.

Chen Minhao was sensible enough not to ask what the urgent matter was for Kang Hui to go to Beijing, but he had a hunch that it must have to do with Wan Anqi as after all, Wan Anqi was currently filming in Beijing.
