Heavenly Forest Wolf 19 Chapter 19 - Angelic Crane

Zaro didn't get annoyed anymore and calmly hunted and crafted pills continuously for a few more weeks until her bag was filled with pills! They had created so many to the point where Zaro could no longer estimate the amount inside the bag.

Hunting had bonded the two quite well and eventually, Zaro was helping her out in hunting by being a distraction and occasionally getting the chance to kill some weaker beasts himself.

Their teamwork was incredible but their ability to concoct pills was even greater and they even managed to discover faster and better methods of creating them!

When it was finally time to start consuming pills, Zaro watched as she separated the pills into two bundles and distributed them fairly. Afterward, Lidya mushed some plants together and then mixed them around in a large wooden bowl with water before pouring it all on the fire creating a lot of steam.

She blocked the entrance to the place they stayed and allowed the steam to remain inside the cave with them. The air was filled with essence and Zaro could feel his body merging with his surroundings and shortly they had begun consuming the pills.

Zaro was amazed at the level of preparation they had made and was extremely thankful to Lidya that had told him about this incredible way of getting stronger.

With each pill consumed, Zaro felt like his core was becoming much larger which excited him but it reached a point where when he consumed the essence he felt like he was about to explode.

He gradually felt his body achieving an incredible level of strength but at the cost of incredible pain. His core was developing so fast that it felt like it was burning away his insides in order to make more s.p.a.ce for growth.

Then once he reached the maximum growth, the essence merged with his body and increased the size of it.

He then felt much less pain as his core had more s.p.a.ce to intake even more essence but unfortunately, the pain repeated itself over and over.

It would reach his maximum, grow his body to make more s.p.a.ce and then repeat the same process the whole time until Zaro consumed the last pill. When he eventually opened his eyes, he noticed the ma.s.sive difference in his body size!

His fangs and claws looked even more terrifying than before and he felt like he grew at least one and a half meters taller. Meanwhile, Lidya was nowhere to be seen and she still had a quarter of her pills left.

Out of respect, Zaro didn't touch them and thought that she left the cave temporarily because her bag was still inside.

Now, he had another challenge... getting out of the cave... the gap was too narrow so he had to use his claws to smash the stone and make an exit. The rocks fell apart like dirt due to his ma.s.sive claws and he easily drilled himself out of the cave and went onto the surface.

When he came out, Lidya was coincidentally returning back with a deer over her soldiers and some meat inside her mouth. When she saw Zaro she dropped the creature and walked over to him in delight but suddenly her face sunk.

"How come you haven't formed your core?! This is incredibly terrifying, if you grow any larger, you will probably become a diamond-core wolf or higher!"

Zaro simply nodded his head and chuckled, it was proof that he was becoming incredibly powerful and Lidya was absolutely astonished. However, a though hit Zaro's head and his face sunk as well... there was that thing... where he would suddenly transform into a killing machine!

He forgot about it and wondered what would happen if he woke up and killed her! With that thought in mind, he lowered his head and rubbed it off Lidya's chest before running away.

This happened every time! He couldn't even stay close to the people he cared about in fear that he would do something to them when he transformed...

"Wolf?! Where are you going?!" Zaro didn't dare look back and continued forward as his large claws left marks in the ground as he ran.

Sadness filled his heart but he kept running until he ran into the same crane he saw when he first entered the heavenly dimension. The crane landed in front of him and stared Zaro in the eyes before speaking, "Your heart... you seem to be in sadness..." a soothing feminine voice rung in his ears.

"How did you..." before he could say anything else, the crane transformed into a beautiful woman with large pink and blue wings. She was naked and her body was extremely stunning as well as her appearance, it felt like she was an angel sent from heaven.

"Allow me to fix your heart..." the woman said calmly and pressed her hands on Zaro's core and he felt a soothing essence enter him and calm him down, "You have eighteen beast souls... you have the power to advance to the next stage... however, I recommend you to acquire as many souls as you can before you leave."

"Huh?" Zaro had so many questions and didn't understand the situation he was in.

The woman transformed back into the crane and took off into the skies while Zaro stood speechless after what had happened.

"I need more beast souls..." he said recalling the words from the angel.

He wasn't hurting anymore and decided to take the 'angle's' advice and continued on into the wilderness.

Zaro was now much more powerful and confident, he ran straight at a pack of blue-colored caribou and commenced his attack.

Using his camouflaging ability, he easily got extremely close to the caribou and clawed at it. The caribou felt danger but since they were in an open gra.s.sland it didn't know what it was until its whole head was torn off.

There was a total of twenty-three caribou grazing on the gra.s.sland and it took approximately five minutes to eliminate them all. Their strongest fighter was amber-ranked and Zaro took care of it first before defeating the rest of them.

He ate half of their bodies and spent a few hours creating pills from their cores, after acquiring all of the pills he began extracting the essence from them. Since they were caribou, Zaro gained even more speed and power when attacking as he was able to consume almost all of the essence.

Even after consuming all of them he still didn't reach his limits and felt like he was lacking but more importantly he now had another twenty-three beast souls which he was collected that he would carry out of the dimension.
