Sorceress 54 At The Edge Of The Gateway.

Arriving at a smithy, Arkalat ordered some swords, arrows, bows, and a few grappling hooks.

Looking at the wares, he looked at the metal ingots and their quality; Thinking how the two big mounts did not have armours on them, he ordered wyvern armours and saddles to be custom made for them.

The black and white wyvern behaved quietly as the artisan took their measurements.

The male and female wyvern had a bit of difference in size, but more so in their ferocious appearance.

The male looked like a demon had crossed a dragon on a bad day! The features of the female were a little softer, but it was mainly due to her colour tone that gave that impression.

The artisan still hesitated to approach the male that looked straight grumpy and angry.

Arkalat told the wyvern to behave and it settled down. Lowering its head, it retracted the "fear" aura it gave.

Finally, the artisan sighed, it could work without fearing the creature's wrath.

Once this was concluded, he headed off to get fitly geared with packs that they would carry during the travel. The most precious items would be placed on them, not much creatures or underworld people would challenge them both.

Heading to a general store, he bought different dry foods, gems, weapons and other necessities. They would trade; on the way to Aberon city in the underworld towns, they would cross.

Doing so would give them fresher food sources outside of monsters, but he also feared that some places would be too dangerous to stop inside them.

If he were alone, he would not fear those dark cities. But with a crew and his wife in tow, he was responsible for all their safety.

Going back to the inn finally, he was slightly drained, opening the door that led to their room quietly — it already was late evening.

Seeing his little love curled up on the bed sleeping soundly, he smiled. Tomorrow he would get the remaining of the items he had ordered, and on the third day, they would head down into the gateway. There it would be the no turn back point for months.

He could only prepare for the worst and hope for the best.

Speranza woke as she felt her husband climb into the bed; she smiled and sleepily said. "Everything settled?" She then curled to his side as he placed his arm under her head.

"No. But tomorrow, everything will be settled and ready to go."

"Mmhm." she nodded sleepily while settling into his broad chest and warm embrace.

He placed one hand atop her now mediumly protruding belly. Gently caressing it, he had the most gentle expression and smile.

"Sleep well." Placing a gentle kiss on her forehead, he laid back staring at the ceiling. He then closed his eyes, resting his spirit in meditation.

The days would be long and hazardous starting from tomorrow onwards.

The next morning Speranza also got her last-minute preparations done and over with them.

After all, she also needed baby gears one's that would free up her hands and make the child easy to Carrie.

She also brought talisman that would silence the area around the child last thing she would want it's it making a monster aware of its

presence.

Seeing Arkalat arrive with the prepped up wyverns. They look fully geared with various packs, a broad saddle that looked more like a carriage that was on its back.

Much like one an elephant would carry but slightly even bigger.

A roof, four sides, doors and windows a full small room atop her wyvern. Likely one of the safest place she will have for months to come.

The male wyvern had a more battle practical saddle. Large spikes and blades, added so that even a casual swept of his wings would be devastating!

It made it look like it had come from h.e.l.l to be the demon lord's mount!

Lucky she knew it was quite harmless toward her otherwise she would have felt the need to run miles away from it!

Smiling at her man she said.

"It looks awe-inspiring."

She could not take her gaze away from the two of them.

Him riding that wyvern left a lasting image in her heart.

Seeing her look at him and the wyvern-like she had lost her soul to the wind he smiled.

"Did my grand arrival take your breath away?"

He teased her while disembarking from the mighty beast.

"It sure did."

Speaking in a slightly sultry tone that rang warm and seducing in his ears.

"Oh, my madam are you trying to seduce your husband?"

Grabbing her and pulling her against himself his hands landed on her firm pretty little behind.

She made a naughty little smirk as she continued to act coquettish.

"What if I am?"

Speaking she ran her finger in circles on his solar plexus making her facial features and body language as naughty-cute she could manage.

She dealt his mind a critical hit! Because he soon after took her into a princess carry! After that, he there and then disappeared into their bedroom ~ locking the door behind them barking to the maids to get out!

He would let her know what it meant to be a naughty little girl!

He would only let her rest once it would be time to leave! After all, she could sleep in her portage carriage quite safely.

Once dawn came both getting up, poor Speranza looked so sleep deprived that even her maid jumped in fright!

While his inhuman endurance, made him look fresh and boosted~like he had slept a week straight!

Speranza cursed him for being such a bully!

This guy, would it not kill him not to bully her in that way?

She is delicate and much in needed her beauty sleep! Alright?!

Everyone took their positions in the convoy guards flanked the entire convoy. Two scouts were sent ahead, four 'tankers' at the front flanked Arkalat on their mounts.

The group to whom he had given hounds flanked Speranza wyvern. Two of her maids sat inside with her while the other two sat at the driver's seat.

It was a very long and impressive convoy the dragons flew around from front to back making aerial scouts as they headed toward the grand adventure of the underworld.
