The boy watched quietly as he pondered how he could get a recording crystal without his mom knowing why he wanted it. Nevertheless, if his mother got a hint that he wanted to subst.i.tute with her on this mission she would never agree. Then he had a brilliant idea that popped inside his head.

"Mom," He said quietly but coolly. Speranza turned her gaze to her baby boy. Her resolution to go and scan the area growing. She needed to make the best decision for him.

Biting her lower lip as she tried to regain her emotions and calm her voice.

She did not want to let him see her anxious, in any case, the boy depended on her clear judgement since he was no longer around if he was she knows it would never get down to this dilemma.

Bast furrowed his brow since when that little freak needed recordings?
