The God World 16 What Happened? 2

You can skip this part if you don't care that much, it just some things that I might change in my writing, and / or some stuff I think is kind of important to know.

1) First off... sometimes I'll make chain chapters. These are chapters with the same t.i.tle, but a number added to the sequence. In this case, it's chapter 2 of "What happened?", that's where the "(2)" comes from.

2) GW = (The) G.o.d World

UHA = United Human Alliance

CC = Copper Coins

SC = Silver Coins

GC = Gold Coins

LP = Life Points (usually know as HP, but I have other reasons to put it as LP)

MP = Mana Points

LVL = Level

EXP = Experience Points

ATT = Attributes

STR = Strength / Might

VIT = Vitality / Endurance

DEF = Defense / Resistance

AGI = Agility / Dexterity

INT = Intelligence / Knowledge

WIS = Wisdom / Wits

PER = Perception / Awareness

LUC = Luck / Chance

FOR = Fort.i.tude

3) I'll be changing NPC (-s) to [Human]. It fits better with how I want to progress the story and makes it easier to describe / distinguish them when talking about the human species in general.

4) To explain what '(something)' is, it's what somebody or something is thinking. In the previous chapter, it was used quite often. '''(something)''' is going to be used when something is being written / read, transmitted, telepathically communicated (like when a "call" is private / only the caller, and called can hear each other, etc.). () (the brackets) will be used when I (the author) want to explain something, or have a message in the middle of text that I want to send(?) to you (the viewers / readers). <(something)> (like the technique that Roy practices) is just something like a name of a technique, book, Skill Book, or something else like that.

5) I updated the synopsis of GW (The G.o.d World) novel. Check it out if you wanna.

6) you might have noticed that you are being told the story of Roy Luck, rather than from his perspective / what he is thinking. That is because although most of my time is spent on school, I regularly prepare notes / take note of things I could use or will be using. For example, I have a ton of monsters on a list (and their evolutions), character Jobs, and Cla.s.ses (like Mage, Knight, etc.), rules to follow when I make chapters / rules of the GW, list of ores (and their rarity, strength / power, hardness...), and herbs, cost of different things, important notes (to always keep in mind), other notes (like descriptions of Items, peoples' pasts, locations, and so on), social cla.s.ses in GW (different n.o.bles, slaves, royals)... Basically, I have a story planned out.

7) I'm not going to censor words anymore... That's because even if I write something like "sh*t", n.o.body is going to be like "Oh? What's that? I wonder what he meant?". If it bothers several people, I will go back to censoring, but yeah... just wanted to tell this.

Lastly, the "20 =" signs are used when I have lengthy message to send to you (from now on). Before it could have also have different meanings, as I didn't have everything an experienced writer should have figured out (I'm not experienced, but still try to prepare for everything and to stick to my own rules).

'14 DAYS!!?' Roy exclaimed very surprised. But he still calmed down in the next moment.

[Yeah.]

*sigh* 'So... what happened in those 14 days?'

[Well, it was a little hard to gather information when you were here in a room... But from hearing the Blessed (people who came to GW (G.o.d World) from Roy's universe) talk about it, it seamed to be like this...]

[1st, people found out that the usage of Potential (from now on POT) has increased quite a bit.] POT is something that literally everything has. It is ... potential of the person (or a thing). POT is used as time goes on. You would lose it just by existing. People or things that were lucky or talented could unlock more POT, by doing / going through a lot of pressure, be in a Mana rich place, have it unlocked by someone with a Spark of Divinity, or other special circ.u.mstances. POT would be something you were given at the start of you're existence, mostly randomly.

Potential Level / Level of Potential was the number of times you could unlock more POT and what you could achieve in general / without using POT.

POT Level is divided into Tiers that correspond to the "height" / value of POT Level. Common is ~3, Uncommon is ~10, Rare ~20, Supreme ~30, Superior ~40, Epic ~50, Exotic ~70, Elite ~90, Special ~100, Legendary 125+, Extraordinary 150+. It basically corresponds with equipment Tiers. And although Superior, and Special were't whole / regular Tiers, they were still included on this list.

[POT now isn't used just for Leveling Up, but also for Tiers, what is certainly a logical thing. But although 5 POT is used for Leveling Up once (which gives every normal Attribute +1, so 6 in total), there's this thing called Attribute Points now. You get one every Level, and each decreases POT by 1 and increases the a.s.signed Attribute by +1. You got it?]

'Yep!' Roy replied.

[Okay, so people weren't just siting idly by while you were asleep. They figured out that every 20 Levels, the number of Attribute Points you gain each Level increases by +1, and every 100 Levels by +5. That means that you got +1 Attribute Point from LVL 1 to 19, 2 Points from LVL 20 to 39, 3 from 40 to 59... 10 Points from LVL 100 to 119, 20 from 200 to 219, and so on.]

'Wait, the math doesn't add up. If you didn't get +6 from LVL 100, then why do you for LVL 200? I ques it's because you just don't get the +1 of every 20 LVLs for LVL 100, and from then on get it. There should also be a bigger increase at Level 1000, but they just haven't figured it out yet.'

[...]

[Yeah ... You might notice that your INT, and WIS Stats are quite high. That's why you'll be able to notice / discern these things very clearly. Your INT, and WIS are equivalent to people at Level 260 before the latest GW "update", or Level 768 of people after the "update". Of course, both are under the condition that we just look at their Base Stats.]

'Yea, I figured as much. Thanks for confirming.'

'...'

'Let's... deal with these guys then.' Roy thought, and started speaking "I'm alright right now ... as much as I can be ... I just didn't know where I was, so I panicked a little. I'm sorry for the trouble!"

Roy somehow knew that they were relieved and he left it at that. There wasn't much he could do anyway, so he just waited.

[The girl...]

'Girl?'

[The one who ran towards you first when you collapsed.]

*ok?*

[She said that you needn't worry, she's just on a Quest that will be able to help you to recover.]

'A Quest? What kind?'

[I don't know... We're gonna find out soon thou.]

2 days later, Roy was still in the hospital. If he wasn't actively doing something, mostly talking with the System, time went by very quickly for him.

If he really focused, he could still feel the sun sometimes. He now knew that he felt the sun only through the window. That also explained why he had had fresh air and why he thought that he was in a forest.

He suddenly felt a presence next to him, what confirmed this was the sudden lowering of his bed. He felt a hand trying to open his mouth, so he quickly grabbed and stopped it.

The person tried talking to sooth Roy, and he kind of understood the message. It went something like this '/... / awake? /... / medicine /... / open /... /'. He got the gist of it and gestured the person, probably the girl, that he wanted to examine it, at least as much as he could. The girl understood and gave him the medicine.

He felt that it was ball-shaped and was squishy. It was about the size of a marble. He smelled it and recognized it as one of the bulges of the Green Fire Elixir Fruit Tree's leaves. Well, it just smelled like that. It could also be the fruit processed and the medicine turned into a ball. The important part now was that he recognized that it had something of that tree in it.

The Green Fire Elixir Fruit Tree was known for its medicinal effects, so Roy accepted the medicine and ate it. But before he could do that, he "heard" [Wait... I a.n.a.lyzed the medicine.]

[You probably already found out that it contains the Green Fire Elixir Fruit, but it also has some other... let's just say... expensive ingredients... You should think about it before eating the medicine. I think you know what I'm talking about.]

'You mean that I would owe her? ... That could be a problem, but she got it fairly quickly, right? That means that she has some connections and wouldn't miss it that much, right? But even if she does want me to repay her, the cost shouldn't exceed the amount I have right now. I have more than 100 GC (Gold Coins), so everything will be fine.'

[Fine...]

He then ate the marble of medicine.

*...*

"I don't feel anything... Is it supposed to work over time?" Roy asked.

He then got the message that it will take a minute and that he had to wait.

In about a minute or two, a sharp burning sensation swelled up within his eyes, and ears. It felt as if lemon, salt, and chili were all rubbed onto an open wound. Eyes themselves don't have a nervous system in them, because it wouldn't have any use. That made it a little weird to feel the pain, but it was still there.

*mmm aaaah*

"It burns!" He inhaled fresh air and it felt cold. His mouth and throat were now chilly cold, and his eyes, and ears were burning.

"s.h.i.+t! It burns! It's cold! Aaah!" he yelled. it took him awhile before he calmed down and endured the pain.

This sensation lasted for what seemed to be hours, but was actually just a dozen or so seconds. When it was over, he finally exhaled. His heart was beating fast, very fast. His eyes were turning around like crazy, and his vision was blurry. 'Wait... My vision is blurry? I can see again?' he thought.

He fully opened his eyes and perked his ears. He could see the blinding light of the sun through the window, and he heard the girl next to him speaking. The girl still sounded a bit m.u.f.fled, but that was because he just got new eyes, and ears.

*inhale, exhale ... inhale, exhale*

"Aah, thank you so much... em... miss?" he asked.

*chuckle*

"You probably don't know me, but maybe you've heard my name." she replied.

"Which is?" he politely asked.

"My name is..."

If anyone thinks that "it's pretty convenient" that anything (extremely) good happens to Roy, then I'll just say this. In , there are literal G.o.ds being created, there are Monsters, Demons, etc. People know that others Reincarnated or Transmigrated to another Multiverse, because some have come back to tell the story (with proof of course). People randomly have Gifts that make them "better" than other people, just because they were lucky, etc. In this world, there are even people who gain 10 000 times the EXP of other people, people who's Skills are 100 times more effective than other people's, and even s.h.i.+ttier ones as well, like getting 0 EXP no matter how many Monsters they kill. We "just so happen" to follow somebody who will more often than not have greater Luck than others. I could have written a story about those people, or someone normal that doesn't even go to GW and stays at home, or a [Human] (formerly know as NPCs), a side character who gets jealous of the MC because he knows the fut- who just so happens to know "everything" that will happen. But I didn't, I chose Roy, cause that's the story I wanted to tell.

n.o.body told / complained about anything regarding , but I've seen / read elsewhere, where some people criticize the author for making certain things "convenient". I, as some other authors, have a certain other reason than to just "drive the story on" or "this happened just because of plot armor", etc. Again, n.o.body said anything, I just wanted to silence those people early on, as I plan to continue this novel for quite some time.

Anyways, sorry about this rant, just another thing I wanted to tell somebody, because there aren't a lot of people around me who are into "these" kinds of things. Thanks for reading
