But Stephanie is not worried about whatever is there, she is more worried about her friends. Ever since their fight, Lucas and Luna haven't said a thing to each other, they would even go as far as ignoring the existence of the other.
"Hey Elea, do you think we should do something about this?" She nudges Elea as they walked into the cavern.
" I don't know, he has never been this angry before," Taking a glance at the two walking at the front he sighs in exasperation.
"Luna is the same, I have never seen her this mad before. Let's follow them, if they still won't talk to one another it'll be dangerous without us there."
Taking out the torches they bought and lighting them up, Elea takes the lead as Lucas watches the rear.
Walking besides Luna, Stephanie tried to persuade her to forgive Lucas again.
"Luna, isn't it quite long already? Can you just forgive him even just a bit?" She said with a pleading look.
"Forgive him? He called me a fool for believing that a necromancer can be good, he has no right to judge when he knows nothing about magic!" She replied with her voice loud enough to be heard by Lucas and echo through the cave.
"I know enough about magic to tell that all dark element user are rotten and they are enslaving the death to do their bidding," Lucas voice could be heard from the back and by the sound of it, he is not pleased.
"Oh really, then what do you call Vayne? We both know if he wants to he could learn and use dark elemental magic. Does that makes him evil too?" Glaring at him, Luna asked, sounding more outraged than before.
"He doesn't know any dark magic, besides just because he has the affinity does not mean he will learn it," Lucas replied mockingly.
"Then what if he learns it? You're going to call him evil too?"
"Hmph, he is too good for that, he won't learn it."
"We'll see about that."
Hearing their exchange, both Stephanie and Elea sigh. They both know what Luna prided most is her knowledge and that is why she is so fond of Vayne because he always seems impressed and fascinated by anything she told him.
It is also the root of this problem since Lucas flat out refuses her opinion without much consideration. What she doesn't understand is why the topic of argument suddenly include Vayne, nothing they said before ever points to him.
Elea suddenly raises his hand, signaling everyone to stop. He then takes a few steps forward, crouches down and examined the ground.
"Watch your steps, there are pressure plates here," He warns them before going around the slightly lifted dirt.
Following his instructions, the party avoids traps after traps. From pressure plates, tripwires, dart traps, all the way to flaming walls, crus.h.i.+ng walls, and spike traps.
By the end of the path, the party was out of breath. Traps are cleverly placed and some of them activate when the previous ones are not triggered, and most of the time, it is much deadly than the previous one.
"Hey guys, am I seeing things or is that a hut," Elea said, pointing to a wooden hut at the back of the cave.
"No, I think there is a hut there," Stephanie replied a bit incredulous. After all, who would make a hut inside a cave?
"It must be the necromancer's hut, let's go in." Without waiting for a reply Lucas already charged in, groaning Luna chased after him before the rest follows.
The moment he reaches the front door, he kicks it open and yelled out "Yo b.i.t.c.h, justice is here!" and entered the hut.
Once the rest reaches the door, they could see Lucas standing there doing nothing but stare. Following his gaze, the rest see that he is staring at a beautiful woman sleeping soundly on a bed cuddling a bottle of alcohol.
But if it just that then there would be many of them at the street of the capital, the reason why he froze is that the woman is b.u.t.t naked!
s.h.i.+fting on her bed, the woman let out a soft yet seducing moan as her long silky black hair trail down to her above-average bosoms. Turning her gaze lower she felt a bit of envy seeing her fair Jade like skin, slim waist, and smooth long legs.
Only when she heard her best friend yell did she snap back to reality.
"What the h.e.l.l are you standing there for!? Get out you pervert!" Luna yelled out as she swings her rod to hit and push Lucas out of the hut.
Turning towards Elea, Stephanie just needs to have him a look before he nods and walk out, closing the door behind him and leaving the girls inside. His voice could be heard scolding Lucas outside for his recklessness.
Scanning around the hut, Stephanie couldn't find anything related to black magic at all, it was just a simple but brightly decorated with potted plants and flowers.
A simple yet smooth table is at the center drapes in a flowery table cloth with four chairs surrounding it on all sides, a small desk beside the bed and a wardrobe across the bed.
If you ignore the pile of empty booze at the corner directly from the front entrance, the place would have been beautiful if it were to be under the sunlight.
"Stephie, should we wake her up?" Luna asked, walking beside the sleeping woman.
"I think we should, but how do you awaken a drunk person?" Stephanie a.n.a.lyzes seeing the reddish hue on the woman's cheeks.
"...slap them?"
"...do it."
Raising her hand high, Luna swings it down hard. Just as it was about to connect with the woman's cheek, she suddenly blurs and jumps all the way across the room.
"I'm up, I'm up! Please don't hurt me!" She begged as she lands, her a.s.sets jiggle from the move.
"Luna..."
"Already ahead of you, [Water Ball]!" In quick succession, 5 pebble size water ball form in the air and shoots towards the woman.
"Eeek!?" The woman yelp, as the water ball hit her and wet her entire body.
"What was that for?! I didn't do anything wrong!" She protested, her arm swinging in annoyance.
"Shut up! How dare you show such blasphemous thing so shamelessly! [Water Ball]!"
"Eeek?! Stop, stop! Please stop!"
Luna keeps showered the woman with water ball as she runs around the hut, trying to get to safety. Meanwhile, outside the two boys are standing with red ears from hearing whatever happens inside.
"Hey Elea, did you saw the size of them?"
"Shut up Lucas, don't talk about something that will get us killed."
"Come on man, I know you saw it too, those things are huge!"
"Don't talk to me, I don't know you"
"Hmph, you just don't understand the beauty of big b.r.e.a.s.t.s."
"... sometimes I wonder why am I friends with you."
"That's love brother, ain't no other explanation." He said jokingly with a smug expression.
Shaking his head, Elea could only chuckle at his friends shenanigans. After 30 minutes of screaming and yelling, the door to the hut is finally opened by a smiling Luna before she gestured that we can enter.
Inside, the woman is already dressed in a black robe embroidered with silver lines and a cross made of gold-covered the front. Her eyes puffy as she is pouting and sniffling.
Besides her, Stephanie's hands are glowing with dim gentle light, most likely from a healing spell.
"So, what is it that you kids want coming here?" She asks between sniffles.
"Before we answer that, can we ask if you are Mich.e.l.le?" Lucas asked, trying his best not to stare at a certain part, causing the females to frown.
"Yes, I am Mich.e.l.le, but I am known more as The Ghost Whisperer." She answered with a glare, making Lucas look away and scratch his cheek.
"Then do you know a person named Emilia?" Luna asked seeing Lucas already seen with hostility.
"Emilia? The Flash Emilia? Do you children know my benefactor?" She asked wide-eyed, elated from the question.
"Yes, we know her. In fact, we are here to deliver this to you." Answered Luna as she takes out the package, to the horror for the woman as she stood up and move away from it.
"Keep that thing away from me! Go back and tell her, even if she is my benefactor, I will not return to that life!" Mich.e.l.le snarled at them, pointing to the package with contempt. "And take that thing with you when you leave."
After saying that she went back to her seat and drown herself in alcohol, no matter how they try to convince her to take it she doesn't respond and flat out ignore them. In the end, they could only leave without delivering the package.
As they walk out the traps no longer react and there is no sign of one was even there before. Reaching the mouth of the cave, they see someone is standing there smiling at them.
"Heya kids, from your expression I guess you've met Mich.e.l.le already," The man said as he walks closer.
"Y'know, I already expect this would happen since Holand told me he received 'the' package from the devil. Let me hold on to that package, I'll convince Mich.e.l.le to accept it somehow." He told them with a kind smile and extend his hand.
"And how can we know you are telling the truth?" Elea asks cautiously, his hand ready to throw a flash flask he brought with him.
"You can ask the old woman, you have a communication earring don't you little foxy. Tell her Fran sends his regards."
Exchanging looks, Luna nod and walk away. awhile later she came back and handed the package to the man. She then nods as an answer to Elea questioning gaze.
"Go along now, you still have a couple more stops to make and be warned, they won't be easy to convince just like Mich.e.l.le here. Good luck kids." The man, Fran, told them before walking into the cave.
"I saw that man at the inn a couple of days ago, never thought he'd know the princ.i.p.al," Luna told them about her encounter with the man as well as what the princ.i.p.al told her from the contract just now.
"So we just need to trust her and deliver the packages, why can't any of them told us what's in it." Groaned Lucas before turning towards Luna.
"Luna, I'm sorry about what I said before, not all dark element user is evil." He said with a slight bow, making Luna smile in delight.
"Oh, so you noticed the element she has, good for you to learn. It's alright, I forgive you, just don't be too rash next time." She said in a magnanimous tone as she pats his head.
After their little exchange, the party returned to their journey to their next destination. The mining town of Rothschild.
