I open my eyes to the afternoon sun glaring down on me from the window.
"Holy sh*t that's bright." I mutter in annoyance as I rub my still sleepy eyes. "G.o.dd.a.m.nit. I wish I could sleep and never wake up…"
I lift my tired body from the bed and hit my head on the low ceiling of my shabby room, causing me to activate my legendary pa.s.sive ability called trash talking to the ceiling for the next five minutes.
After I've had my fit of anger towards the unsuspecting ceiling, I was once again glared at by the harsh rays of the sun, making me squint in the pain of the bright sunlight.
I quickly gave my greetings to the afternoon sun with a flick of my middle finger before moving on with life, changing from the 4XL s.h.i.+rt I wore for pajamas to a pair of jogging pants and an old s.h.i.+rt that depicted a shameless advertis.e.m.e.nt of a brand that only G.o.d knows what they sell.
I quickly raid the fridge for supplies and found nothing but a cabbage, to which I brutally minced with a knife before adding mayonnaise and olive oil with a pinch of salt and pepper.
"Pseudo Coleslaw complete. Now, for the cleaning…" I speak to the emptiness of the lonely room. "Ah, f*ck it."
I dump the used equipment to the sink and let it soak in the water before hopping on to the counter and munch on the coleslaw I made.
Feeling the tang of milky sourness and the zesty fresh crunch of the butchered cabbage, my senses finally started to awaken and my body systems kicking into action.
"Ah. Bliss." I mutter in the deliciousness of my creation. "I may be bad at fires, but anything else would be fine."
Quickly popping open the cover for my tablet, I quickly tapped into the discord application.
There it displayed no friends and only one server.
The Webnovel Writer's Chatgroup.
There, I quickly scan through the messages and see the recent activity of fellow authors.
Murakami_Takai: Morning.
Reili (Nanomancer Reborn: IBASG): Heya.
Alison35: Good morning! *some sparkly a.s.s emoji*
I quickly type my greeting as well and reply to Alison's cultist greeting of using the sparkly emoji.
Cultivator_Requiem: Toppa tha mornin' to ya lads.
Cultivator_Requiem: @Alison35 Mornin' *similar sparkly a.s.s emoji*
Just as I was about to put down my phone and stuff my face into my amazing pseudo coleslaw, Alison replied in seconds.
Alison35: Morning Culti!
*Sparkly a.s.s emoji*
*Sparkly a.s.s emoji*
*Sparkly a.s.s emoji*
*Sparkly a.s.s emoji*
I roll my eyes as I put my phone down to eat my meal. Alison always had the habit of sending the sparkles like there was no tomorrow. Even worse when Noctifier (Blood Peony Emperor) was around.
I finish my meal and wash the dishes, cleaning the table and flicking another finger at the glaring sun before taking a quick bath to cool down my body from the blistering tropical heat.
I browse the news and notifications, something about EA saying that lootboxes were not gambling and were rather built in surprise game mechanics, Hongkong protests against Ms. Lam, a cat playing the piano with chopsticks for the umpteenth time.
Yep. Perfectly normal day.
"Time to write some chapters." I say as I accidentally open discord on my tablet. "Oops. Misclicked."
I was about to press the back b.u.t.ton when I noticed Zeh.e.l.l online and active in the chat.
'Oh well.' I roll my eyes. 'It wouldn't hurt to waste a few minutes.'
I come online and tease the h.e.l.l out of Zeh.e.l.l (Pun intended).
After the 50th time of teasing the poor woman, she finally replied with:
Zeh.e.l.l: I hate u culti.
I raise my hands in triumph of my pitiful doucheness and laughed in delight.
"Hah!" I laughed. "It feels so good when someone hates me more than I hate myself."
I then look at the sun with a smug look as if boasting out 'Look what I did' but found that the sun wasn't there anymore.
My body went stiff.
"Wait." I nervously laughed. "Surely… No. No way."
I glance at the clock on my tablet to find out that it was already 5:30 PM.
I had been on discord for at least 5 hours.
'Ah well.' I rolled my eyes at the stupidity of the situation. 'Time for work. I guess I will write tomorrow…'

"Haha…" I laughed at how pathetic I was in the current situation. "You have to be kidding me…" I had not managed to write a single word the entire week. I glance at the discord where I had been active all the time and slumped my shoulders. "This G.o.dd.a.m.n server is a sp.a.w.n of sloth." I sigh. "It makes me procrastinate all the time…" Xandarx: @Cultivator_Requiem are you there? I try to resist the urge to reply and failed, ending up in a myriad of conversations that were away from all sense of reality and bounds. After the chat died out, I glance to the window and was greeted by the smugly s.h.i.+ning morning sun. "Wait. It was night when I started chatting…" I nervously laughed. "Why is the morning sun…" I stare at the discord chat in fear. "What kind of time altering demon are you?!" I grab the cross I don't believe in and wave it in front of me in hysteria. "Begone! Time stealing fiend! Return what you have stolen!" Alison35: Morning everyone *another one of those sparkly a.s.s emojis* No one replied. [Come and chat, Requiem~] I start to hear the voices of discord. [Come and chat with us~] "Stupid! BEGONE! Sp.a.w.n OF TIME THIEVES!" I wave the cross in front of me. [Lay down your cross~] The voices crept closer. [Lay down your weary~] "N-No… I-I won't…" [Join us in the chat, Requiem~] "BEGONE THOT!" [Join us and forget all your problems~] "LEAVE ME BE!" [You were a failure at life. Instead of drowning in your misery, join us~] The voices got stronger. [Lay down your weary, your cross, your useless life and your endless suffering~] "Wh no, no. I- I would never…" [Lay down your flag and join us~] "N-No, well-" [Join us.] "No, I-" [Join us.] "Well-" [Join us.] The world faded away. The poverty, the pain, the heat, and the hunger. The glaring sun seemed so dull and the world seemed to be silent as if all was alright with the world. I close my eyes and breathe. Cultivator_Requiem: Toppa tha mornin' to ya lads. --------------------------------------------- Author's Thoughts h.e.l.lo Guys Elyon Here! Yes...maybe putting Culti's POV chapter here was a mistake. *Glares at Culti* You little... *sigh* Oh well, congratulations. You just showed everyone what kind of (insert appropriate word here) you are. LMAO! Kids don't be like him...like seriously don't be like him!
