After a few days of rest, Angelique finally recovered and returned to her usual energetic self . She skipped school and went to the shop instead to check on things .

She headed to the back kitchen and saw Jose busy working on some dough . She watches from a distance as the man ma.s.saged the dough, she continued to gaze at the man realizing he was actually quite attractive .

"Ange, is something wrong?"

Angelique shook her head and realized Jose had actually noticed her, she suddenly felt fl.u.s.tered by the way Jose was looking at her . "No, I'm fine . . . "

The man cleaned his hand and walked towards the girl, he pressed his palm gently onto her forehead, "You sure, you're looking quite red?"

The closer the man was, the more she felt awkward about the situation . "Jose, I'll go check up front . "

Jose was bewildered to why Angelique sudden run away, he scratched his head pounding what just happened .

Behind the door, Angelique froze from what just happened . Why does she suddenly feel embarra.s.sed being around Jose . Did the injury made her confuse or something .

She quickly went behind the counter and got herself a gla.s.s of water . At the same time, Jordon has arrived . When she saw the man walking into the shop, she started recalling what happened last time and her heart started to beat even faster .

"Ange, why are you here? Did I tell you to rest at home?" hearing the man's words snap her back to reality .

She looked at the man who was looking concern at her, as she gazed into the man's eye, it was the first time she notices that he actually has greenish brown shaded eyes . "Jordon you have beautiful eyes"

The man blushed when he heard what the girl said, he walked over behind the counter as he took off his scarf and put it around her . "You better keep warm . "

As the day pa.s.ses by, Angelique continues to watch Jordon from the distance as he handled everything in the shop . She was in such a daze that she did not realize the time at all .

She started thinking back on their high school years when Jordon always helps her when she was in trouble .

The girl sat by the window and started recalling the time when Jordon always comes out late at night when she would run away from home because she had a fight with her foster mother .

Jordon would come running looking for her all the time since they lived in the same neighborhood . Once he found her, he would stay with her all night if she does not want to go home . If she was exhausted from all the running, he would carry her on her back to her home .

"Ange, you should eat . " Jordon said as he brought her a plate of sandwich and a hot drink .

"Jordon, can I ask you something?" Angelique said as he looked up at the man .

"Sure . "

Watching the man standing in front of her, she releases it better to keep things to herself and avoid unnecessary thing . She was too afraid to lose someone like him in her life .

"Never mind, you go ahead . . . " she smiled at him as she started eating the food .

That night Jordon took Angelique home, as they were heading home Angelique continue to ponder on what she wanted to ask Jordon but her heart was aching in fear of what he will say .

Once she goes into her apartment, she quickly heads to her room, shut the door and jump into her bed . She then notices that Jordon scarf was still around her neck . "Hmm, it actually smell quite nice . "
