When Lu Wei Xi walked out of Wei Wei Bridal Shop, she stood in place and tried to digest the information. Unable to contain her excitement, she called Cheng Si Ran.

“Si Ran, Si Ran. Do you remember the reward call that I received last time? It's real!”

The other person thought for a few seconds before answering, "Do you mean the three-day US trip?"

“Yes, that one. I just came by the store to ask today and they told me the flight is next Friday. They have already booked the ticket.”

“Call me Jian Chi.” He impatiently interrupted her. Suddenly, Lu Wei Xi was able to find some realism about him.

“Jian Chi, are you trying to explain to me?” After her heart had calmed down, she asked once again. Her tone has become brisk, no longer as restrained as before.

He didn't answer and only nodded slightly. He quietly stares at the slice of New York cheesecake which only had a small piece eaten off. His long eyelashes fluttered down, not knowing what he was thinking.

Jian Chi didn't speak and she didn't dare to. The atmosphere inexplicably became awkward with each pa.s.sing minute.

Don't know how long those two sat there quietly but he suddenly reached for the silver spoon on the table and sc.r.a.ped a small piece from the cake and put it in his mouth.

Lu Wei Xi rigidly watched his movement. He just….use the same spoon she used earlier.

“Do you like my voice?” Jian Chi didn't see anything wrong with his movements and casually asked her.

He had also asked her the exact same question a few months ago when he walked her back to school.

Lu Wei Xi tried to suppress her heartbeat. She looked up and met his sight, and answered him without hesitation, “Yes.”

He still calmly asks, "Why do you like my voice?" "

This is the first time he asked her... why she likes his voice.

Bewildered by his laughter, Lu Wei Xi's brain crashed. Before she could answer, the other party had already started to sing in a low voice.

It's the ending song for “Fast and Furious 7.” This song was originally supposed to be sentimental and commemorative. His clean and clear voice carried some ambiguity as he sang with perfect English p.r.o.nunciation. Lu Wei Xi had only heard this level of English p.r.o.nunciation in the listening tape of the TOEFL test.

He looked very happy and carefree as he lazily walks down the street. Lu Wei Xi slowly walked by his side and listened. It seemed like her heart is filled up with something all at once, and all the uneasiness and gloom of the past couple of days had been completely erased.

After he finished singing, the neared the lively and bustling intersection near University T.

It is a red light now. Lu Wei Xi who is still immersed in his voice didn't respond for a while and stumbled forward. The next second, in the bustling intersection, a strong hand pulled her hard.

She came to a stop and turned back to see a sinking face looking down at her. The tone was a few degrees colder than when she first saw him in the hospital, "Don't you know how to look up when you cross the road??"

Scared by his sudden cold voice, Lu Wei Xi unconsciously retreated like a kid caught doing something wrong. She unconsciously blurted out, “I'm sorry….don't be angry.”

“Stupid.” His fingers ran through her hair and then naturally drew back.

They are almost at the school. Jian Chi paused but unlike last time, he didn't turn and leave right away. Instead, he lowered his head to look at her and pensively asked, “Do you need me to send you in?”

“No, no need.” She looked down, unable to meet his gaze. Her face turned red like a cooked shrimp.

He didn't say anything and only stared at her for a few seconds before nodding his head.
