When The Moon Calls 1

He was standing inside a run-down bas.e.m.e.nt that was slightly illuminated by a single lamp that was hanging down from the ceiling.

Michael looked down at a body that was bound to a chair, it was filled with wounds.

Some were deep cuts, some parts of the body were burned badly....all fingers were broken....and more.

Michael felt nothing, and the world around him was deadly silent. Michael knew that he should feel something but....there was nothing but emptiness.

He was looking at the face and despite being badly beaten he would never fail to recognize it.

It was his own face.

The body infront of him was his. He had died and now here he was, standing here, not knowing what to do.

He was 26 old and joined the army at 18. He went through the harsh training and joined after 4 years a special force that was tasked to eliminate terrorist in Afghanistan.

His team was ambushed about a week ago and the two survivors were captured. He was one of the two unlucky souls.

The Taliban tortured them to get information and failed. The only thing they got from him was his curses, crazy laughter and screams.

Now he had finally died after a week of torture.

His body shook violently and he turned around, he felt something calling him and he didn't know why but he followed it.

He walked through the closed door like it didn't exist. He didn't made any sounds and there were no sounds. The world seemed to stand still.

Michael walked out of the bas.e.m.e.nt and was greeted by the night. It was dark outside and the sky filled with thousands of stars.

He noticed someone walk out of the bas.e.m.e.nt, it was the second captive, his brother in arms Jonas.

Jonas was wearing the same military clothes like Michael.

They looked at each other in silence, Michael tried to say something but his lips didn't move, the same went for Jonas.

Jonas bright green and Michael's dark brown eyes met and they nodded approvingly at each other.

Both of them shook violently and felt something calling them, they looked at the sky and saw the full moon becoming larger and larger. They were fixated by what was happening, it was a very beautiful view, they had never seen such a large moon before.

Michael felt something for the first time after dying, and he looked down, only to see his body slowly turning into specs of light. The same thing happened to Jonas.

Both of their eyes met one last time before turning completely into specs of light, flying to the moon.

He couldn't describe what he was going through but, the most fitting word for it would be "Dream".

Michael found himself inside a forest, everything was blurred and clear at the same time, he started to walk around without being sure if it was himself walking or he was just observing from within.

It was night and he could see a full moon in the sky, he didn't remember seeing a full moon of this size. It was gigantic and covered a great part of the sky.

Michael wanted to focus but something prevented him from doing so.

Confused and somewhat lost he continued to observe from within or was he the one moving? He couldn't tell the difference. His rational thoughts were restrained or suppressed?

He could still think but....it was like the connection was....damaged or malfunctioning?

He couldn't come to a conclusion and decided to just go with it in this dream like state. He still remembered his past life but, it wasn't important or it didn't matter?

His body became faster and faster and the scenery around him flashed by. He stopped at the end of a cliff. The gigantic full moon was in front of him, s.h.i.+ning down a pale light.

Michael looked down on himself and exclaimed mentally, he was standing, but those weren't human legs, instead they were powerful hind legs and his hands were claws, his whole body was clad in silver colored fur.

His eyes slowly drifted back to the full moon and he felt that the moon was calling him. Something deep, very deep inside him roared out.

At first the roar came from his inside but, like a wave it washed all over his body and soul.

*ROOOOOOOAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRR*

He roared beast like, no he was a beast and he was intoxicated by that deep roar.

*ROOOAAARRRRR*

*ROOOOOOAAAAARRRRRRR*

*ROAARRR*

*ROOOOAAAARRRRRR*

From all over the forest many other roars joined him and they all roared at the full moon.

Suddenly the sky started to change, it looked like blood was slowly coating the moon, it was an incredible sight.

That was his last memory before falling asleep again.
