"Jairus honey, wake up"

Agnes was sitting on the bed early morning.

Jairus opened his eyes, half sleepy.

"What is it sweety?"

"I'm hungry. Please can you make me something."

She pleaded as Ruby was granted a long vacation & she went to Germany to visit her family and grandchildren. No other servant was allowed to hold kitchen except Ruby.

"Honey it's just 08:00 am"

He overlooked the digital clock.

Agnes glared at him flas.h.i.+ng her red eyes.

"So Mr. Jairus Ezekiel are you refusing ?"

He sat straight up hurriedly. Even lion can't afford to offend her lioness :p

"No no absolutely not. I'm going___calm down"

Her expressions immediately changed as she clapped and said YES.

( Drama queen )

He went to the washroom, sighed, shrugged and whispered.

"Wife !"

After a few minutes they both headed downstairs. The mansion was calm but wait___

Sweet smell of food !

Someone was cooking !

But who ?

Dad & mum left early they wanted to be alone. As Jairus received the text of his father. Ruby wasn't coming till two months. No other servant was at home for this whole week.

Jairus took a few steps towards the kitchen and a young man was standing in front of the stove. Wearing an ap.r.o.n & rolled sleeves he had a quite manly appearance.

Jairus knew who was him, folded his arms and cleared his throat.

"How dare you sneak into my house ?"

The man jumped into his place with sudden voice and looked behind, while Agnes giggled at his act.

"Oh you're awake."

For some moments Jairus stared at him and the young man stood in his place silently without reacting. Maybe he was afraid.

Then Jairus laughed and the both men gave high-five to each other & hugged.

"Agnes this is Jason, my younger brother, my crime partner."

"h.e.l.lo sister-in-law."

He shook hands with her.

"So Jason what are you doing here ?"

Jairus was curious as he arrived without informing.

"Actually bro I couldn't make it to your wedding. So I sneaked into your house & as an apology I'm cooking breakfast."

Jairus caressed his hair as if he was a little child.

"You silly !"

And the trio had breakfast.

"So sister-in-law what do you think it's a boy or girl."

Jason questioned while they're in the lounge. And Jairus left for the company. Promising to be back soon.

Agnes & Jason became friends soon.

"I don't know. I think it's a boy but your brother says it's a girl. But I'm happy that it's ours."

And they both chuckled.

"Wait I haven't heard your story, tell me....please."

He pouted like a child. Though he was of 20 but behaving like 15.

"Haha okey okey.....it's completely amazing. So it goes as .....blah blah...blah blah.....and we got married."

Jason was carefully listening like a child pays heed to a fairy tale !

"Whoa !  you both are amazing. I wish I'd find my mate too. I'm tired of playing with girls."

Agnes sighed, so he was just like his brother a playboy. But Jairus changed so he will too. Love can change anyone.

But Agnes still suggested him that he'd stop playing with girl's feelings. Which Jason swore at once that he'd listen to his

sister-in-law.

The whole day Jason took care of Agnes like his own sister. Did kitchen ch.o.r.es for her, cooked her food and cookies.

Remora and Michael entered the house fingers interlaced and kissing.

When they saw Jairus & Agnes staring at them ! Blush and embarra.s.sed but still holding hands.

To save them from further embarra.s.sment Jason came down running through the staircase.

"Hi dad !"

And immediately hugged his dad.

"Oh my goodness son what are you doing here ?"

Michael was happy to see his family__complete.

"Actually I came here to surprise you all."

Jason stated.

And then his gaze fell upon the lady standing with his father.

"Ww-whose this ?"

"Jason she's your.....she's my wife Remora !"

"Oh !  She's Remora Ezekiel"

Jason held her hand and kissed in respect.

"You're more beautiful in real ma'am."

All people were in shock. They're expecting Jason creating a melodrama but he did the opposite.

"Thank you sweety."

She caressed his hair like a mother.

"Jason are you okey ?"

Jairus asked him confused.

"Yeah I'm all fit. Why are you asking this ?"

Jason was behaving normal.

"Nah nothing."

Remora helped them to understand Jason's behaviour.

"Honey why didn't you tell me that Jason is also one of us___a vampire."

Remora was one of the oldest vampire, moreover a princess and skilful in vampiric abilities. She was like a master who guided many disciples. So it was easy for her to find out Jason's truth by his aura.

"What ?"

They all spoke in unity.

"Dad.....actually MOM is saying right. Please don't be angry I didn't hide it intentionally. I can explain."

"I'm the only character in this novella who is always getting shocking revelations. I want to listen your part son."

And they all went towards the lounge. Everyone was staring at Jason. Eager to listen from him.

Finally he blurted out.

"Dad I want to show you something."

He went towards Michael and knelt down held his hands.

"Dad close your eyes."

FLASHBACK

BEGAN

Nora (Jason's late grandmother) was scolding someone.

"What have you done ?"

A sobbing sound is heard and the vision clears. Julia was crying heavily.

"Mother I wasn't in my senses. I'm sorry."

Nora glares up and slaps her.

"Sorry my foot. You've ruined our reputation Julia."

"Mother please forgive me. I know it's my mistake."

She pleaded.

"Forgive you ?

You're one month pregnant with your boyfriend who suddenly disappeared leaving you."

Nora was holding her pregnancy reports.

"I'm sorry. I was drunk at that time when he took me to his apartment."

She was still crying.

Nora knew her spoiled daughter but didn't expected her to go this far. So started to think a way. As it wasn't possible to get rid of the baby now. And if they do the news will spread across the country like wild fire. Due to her father's name in business world.

Finally she asked her.

"With whom you hook up within this month ?"

Julia was ashamed upon her mother's blunt question.

"Mm-Michael "

"Michael who ?"

"Michael Ezekiel."

She sobbed again.

"For G.o.d's sake Julia that billionaire is married as has a son. You're a homewreker !"

And she remained quiet but didn't stopped crying.

"What happened between you two ?"

Nora again asked.

"I-I....."

She was hesitating.

"Spit it out now."

Nora again glared and yelled.

"I met him again in a bar and he was heavily drinking. Then I took him to an apartment and..."

She stopped as her voice got stuck in her throat.

"I see."

She smirked.

"Now listen to me. As this happened a month ago. You're going to tell Michael that this is 'his child'. And made him accept you."

"But mother he's already married."

"Now you're worried about his marriage ? Make him divorce his wife or do whatever you want. Just don't let our reputation spoil."

FLASHBACK OVER

Michael was panting now with fear as he's seen a ghost.

"Dad are you alright? "

Jason n Jairus questioned in unity.

"Yy-yes."

He rubbed his forehead.

"That woman Julia deceived me. Till this day she reminded me of my guilt that I made her pregnant accidentally. But you.....you aren't my child Jason."

Jason was sad in his tone so replied lowly.

"Yes dad. My biological father was a vampire who then got killed by a royal."

Michael sighed at the fate of Jason.

"How do you know this ? And how come I'm able to see past events ?"

Remora was smiling now that her place was cleared. And Julia's true face was revealed by her own son.

Jairus & Agnes were quite still a.n.a.lysing everything.

"Actually when my transformation began I didn't knew I was a vampire. I felt distress so went to the church for solace. And there a vampire seer helped me to find the truth and my abilities. Like brother can predict future I can see visions from past."

"Oh so that's how Jairus predict that our child is a girl."

Agnes understood why Jairus was so sure.

"Yes sister."

Jason's voice dropped.

"Dad....now you know that I'm not....."

He trailed off as he loved Michael dearly.

"Stop it son. I love you and always I'll have two sons. No matter what your mother did you always will be my son Jason Ezekiel."

"Thank you dad."

And he hugged his father.

"What will you do with mum ? I mean she did wrong, very wrong."

Remora added.

"Julia is a sick woman. But she's a mother too Jason. She did all this for you."

Jason was surprised as Remora was still defending Julia.

"But ma'am she did wrong with you.  She threatened you for your ident.i.ty and she dragged brother in this. She made you leave your family."

Remora smiled at Jason and then faced Michael. As Michael got his answers. That why Remora left. And then spoke to Jason.

" Honey she just did what she was told at that time. And what was right according to her. Forgive her my child."

"I can't though she's my mother. But I can't. And I'm not going back to her. She's no one to me. I'm staying here with all of you__dad, brother, sister-in-law, mum and you're my family."

"Hmm....what if your mother called you back ?"

Agnes stated.

"She's no one to me. She used every person in her life. She used me to reach dad and she used everybody for wealth n name. I don't want such a mother. She's just a greedy woman. A love-sick woman. She deserves to live alone. As dad has cleared the media about his wife, I don't accept her as my mother too."

"Take it easy son. We'll get through this together like a family."

Michael patted his back.

Now every confusion was settled and truths were revealed. To lower the intense atmosphere Remora & Agnes went to the kitchen for preparing some snacks.

While Jairus, Jason and Michael spent time with each other.
