These were Cynthia's pokemon, Gabite being the fearless youth he is, he didn't give a f.u.c.k about these monsters and started to run around and ruin their food, it wasn't over there because Crystal is more fearless when someone steals its food, it blasted Ice Beams after Ice Beams on Gabite and instead of hitting him it froze all the food present in the room.

This, of course, caused a lot of commotion which caught both Julian and Cynthia's attention, seeing that these noises were coming from the direction their pokemons are kept they headed towards these rooms.
