Mao s.h.i.+yuan was upset. "So she doesn't love you anymore now that she's lost her memory? That girl changes easily. Hah, looks like we won't be having anymore free breakfasts or lunches in the future. Oh yeah, that soup! The more I think about it, the worse I feel…"

Chen Sinan slowly replied, "If you like her, then man up and chase her." 

Mao s.h.i.+yuan repeatedly waved his hand and replied, "No, never mind! Forget it!" Who in town doesn't know how troublesome the eldest daughter of the Xin family is. It's difficult to talk to her, even if you talk with reason.

Everyone around the table ate heartily except for Chen Sinan. Of course, they were deeply curious about the relations.h.i.+p between Xin Siyue and Chen Sinan, and why Sun Miaomiao seemed to hate Xin Siyue.

From time to time, Xin Siyue would glance fiercely at Chen Sinan's back in irritation as she ate one bite after another.

Just when Xin Siyue was about to tell Sun Miaomiao this unfortunate news, she froze on the spot. If she stopped Sun Miaomiao, who was approaching Chen Sinan's group, wouldn't this cause this girl's grudge towards her to swell up?

Xin Siyue stood on the spot as she watched Sun Miaomiao approach the cas.h.i.+er counter. On the way, the girl stopped by Chen Sinan's table, and with a shy blush, asked him if he had paid his bill yet. However, the young man didn't reply.

When Sun Miaomiao finally got to the cas.h.i.+er, she found out that their bill was already paid. The girl turned around and stared at Xin Siyue in surprise. Of course, Xin Siyue didn't fail to notice the spark of fire in the girl's eyes.

'Yeah, it looks like my kind deed turned into something bad.'

Xin Siyue hurried back to her seat then bent over to check her phone.

When Mao s.h.i.+yuan overheard that the other groups' bill was already paid, he raised his head to peek at Xin Siyue. Then, he heard Sun Miaomiao explain weakly, "Haha, that's just the kind of person Siyue is, someone who likes to brag about her wealthy family. Before coming here, I definitely said that I was the one treating this time."

As if none of this had anything to do with him, Chen Sinan glanced up at Sun Miaomiao, his eyes containing unhidden displeasure.

Sun Miaomiao realized that she would annoy the young man if she lingered, so she hurriedly excused herself and returned to her seat. However, from that time onwards, she didn't glance once at Xin Siyue or talk to her.

Xin Si Yue shrugged. She didn't care anyway.

As Mao s.h.i.+yuan walked out of the dining room, he couldn't help but ask: "Is it me or has Xin Siyue changed a lot?"

His roommate agreed. "I think so too."

Mao s.h.i.+ Yuan nodded. "I can feel she's changed. She's less annoying now though." 

His roommate commented: "Actually, even before, I didn't think she was hateful at all. Although she was very straightforward when chasing after a guy, I like a girl who's as frank as her. When it comes to people, it's better to be with someone frank rather than with a person who has a hidden agenda, unlike that roommate of hers who obviously wanted to lay a trap for others when she was actually just acting like an innocent white lotus."

Mao s.h.i.+yuan, who shared the same opinion, was about to reply when Chen Sinan suddenly interrupted: "Are you all so bored that you have to gossip behind someone's back?" Although it was a question, it put an end to Mao s.h.i.+yuan's and the group's discussion.

Right, they all knew that Chen Sinan hated it most when they talked about Xin Siyue. The person who had crazily chased after him from childhood til now, and the girl who brought him endless trouble and complications was none other than Xin Siyue.
