"No…" Luna shook her head hastily, there was only bitterness that she felt at that moment. "You will not." She emphasized it while kept feeding Gong Xu.

After that, she curled herself beside her brother to warm each other through the cold and rainy night.

The rain didn't stop until morning came, even the sun couldn't be seen behind the thick and gloomy cloud.

An ear- piercing cracking sound startled Luna and Gong Xu awake, in the doorstep, Modama had busted down the hut's door.

Rain was trickling down on his face as he was standing there, incensed.

"COME HERE!" Modama's voice boomed inside the small hut while his hand shakily pointing at Luna.

The little girl knew she had triggered the beast inside her father after being disobedient, and she wouldn't leave unscathed. She was terrified and wasn't able to move a muscle.

But, upon seeing Luna didn't do what she was told made Modama turned furious. He took four large strides and grabbed the little girl by her hair before she dragged her out of the room.

Under the morning rain with flashed lightening and boomed thunder sounding in the distance, Modama dragged his daughter along the way to the storage.

He tossed her inside and cursed bunches of foul words before he slammed the door shut.

Luna couldn't even hear what her father was talking about as she felt her scalp was in immense pain as though someone was skinning her head.

However, it was just beginning. Another torture was waiting for her as a punishment for ignoring his order.

Inside the storage, it was only her whimper and a flurry of rain pattered against the roof that could be heard.

The rain…

Just like now…

Only the sound of rain and her whimper that lingered inside this small prison, kept her accompany.

Luna lost track of time. She felt so cold and numb.

The cracking sound from the door startled her, she was fiercely brought back to the reality. The reality that was not any better than her memories.

Weakly she raised her head and found the man, who had ordered to throw her inside the dungeon, was standing haughtily.

He was looking down at her, no, he was looking down on her.

Luna was way too weak to a.s.sess his feeling now, she was numb and cold, her head spinning while her vision blurred.

However, she held his fierce gaze stubbornly, refused to bow down to him.

In the other hand, Xiao Tianyao's eyes as hard as stone. A lot of emotion flas.h.i.+ng on his expression, something uncomfortable was gnawing his conscious the moment he saw Luna's condition.

The thin layer of clothes that she was wearing almost like she wore nothing, the soft fabric latched on her skin, outlined her figure.

For some unknown reason, Xiao Tianyao didn't like the fact that all the guards were able to see the skin beneath a soft layer of her clothes.

It made him furious.

For short amount of time, in spite the way she deceived him, she was his woman and now she was carrying his child.

The last thought made him restless again.

What he should do with the child in her stomach. Should he get rid of it? No. He wouldn't be the one who did it.

"You look pathetic." His mocking voice sounded unconvincing, but Luna missed it.

As Xiao Tianyao spoke, he threw the cloak that he was wearing toward her.

Her survival instinct threw her dignity out of the window as she hastily caught it and wrapped the cloak around her body. The weather was so cold, she would freeze to death in no time, not to mention her body had became so weak.

Luna sighed in relief when a shred of warm engulfed her and at the same time, the familiar scent that she had grown to like unconsciously, gave another comfort.

She fond of his smell, just like how she appreciated the way he held her all this time, even though it was just an illusion that she had created. Luna was well aware about that, but she couldn't help to savor the feeling of being protected.

Xiao Tianyao kicked the door closed, trapped both of them inside the small room. He leaned his body against the wall with his hands folded in front of his chest.

"So, you are the legendary mind controller?" He asked, he didn't give an effort to hide the mocking tone in his voice.Find authorized novels in Webnovel, faster updates, better experience,Please click www.webnovel.com for visiting.

Hugging the cloak closely, Luna spoke with trembling voice as she tried to hide the sound of her clattering teeth. "Do you mean a pathetic mind controller probably? Giving my condition now." She mocked him.

"You still had some guts to talk back to me." Xiao Tianyao narrowed his eyes, didn't like the sight of how purplish her lips were.

"If you want my silence, you will not come here." Luna gritted her teeth, the gush of the wind just blew from the window, sending chill down to her spine. "You expect me to speak rather than to be quiet, don't you?"

Xiao Tianyao's eyes dilated in surprised, Luna was so quiet when she was with him and rarely talked in full sentences, but the woman before his eyes was so strong- head.

He knew 'the Luna' before today was only façade, but to imagine how introvert she used to be, it was hard to see how fierce she was now.

"So, you are Modama's daughter."

"I am." The matter had escalated to this point, thus there was no use to deny it. "How you know? Someone told you?"

Upon hearing her question, Xiao Tianyao chuckled satirically. "Seemingly you have a serious setback. I was there when you met Modama and Gong Xu, and you even don't realize it."

"Yes, I am." Luna replied nonchalantly. "I think it is because of the pregnancy."

"That's why you want to get rid of it."

Luna kept silence, she wasn't sure about the answer.

"I will leave this to you then." Xiao Tianyao pulled out the small bottle and put it on the ground. "You can finish whatever the thing you are going to do."
