Chapter 206 Her Way of Survival

A man of the Ink-blood Tower put the hand on his chest, with his blue veins protruding from his forehead.

A moment later, dark blood flew out of his mouth.

“You! You used the poison!” Watching Bai Aoxue walk leisurely, the men of the Ink-blood Tower asked surprisingly.

“A brave hero always wins the fiercest compet.i.tion! Don’t say that you don’t know such a simple idea!” Bai Aoxue said indifferently after opening her red lips gently while looking at the crowds coldly.

Watching their companion wearing such a miserable expression, they had no way but to resent the female before them in their hearts.

“The Ink-blood Tower has no grudge against you! Why are you so determined to exterminate all of us?” The man asked aloud, pointing at Bai Aoxue.

Bai Aoxue raised her eyebrows and said indifferently, “You’d better ask your lord about our grudges. It’s nothing but different choices and standpoints.”

The rest of the crowds of the Ink-blood Tower didn’t understand her words, but they were clear that it was attributable to their lord!

“What? Are you an orphan whose family was exterminated by our lord? Or are you a woman who was discarded by our lord? You even think of asking for our lord to revenge! Ha-ha…” A man among them laughed loudly while looking at Bai Aoxue with a scornful look in the eyes.

Even if they could not catch the woman before them today, she was doomed to death whenever she met their lord!

“Brothers! Since she said so, it means that she is the enemy of our lord. We must catch her today at any cost! Send her to our lord!” Although they were afraid of Bai Aoxue, someone still said consciously.

“I will look for the lord of the Ink-blood Tower even if you don’t catch me!” Bai Aoxue said coldly.

After saying that, she drew out her daggers within several short steps! Now she had no sympathy at all!

In a moment, the floor of the clean front yard had been full of blood, and the thick smell of blood was pervading in the air around the front yard.

Looking further ahead, the woman in black stood still as tough as a pine tree in the setting sun with her hair scattering vertically over the shoulders.

The blood dripped down from the daggers in her hands and flew into the blood on the floor to form a brook, winding ahead and disappearing into the dirt in the end.

Looking at the crowds lying on the ground, Bai Aoxue remained cold in her eyes and had no sympathy for them at all.

Since she was very young, she had already known the way of survival.

Only when she trod on the dead bodies of her enemies could she go forward step by step and avoid being discarded on the way.

Killing often had too many reasons behind it. Sometimes, it was meant to release oneself from the extremely mental distortion, and sometimes it was for the purpose of obtaining money or power. Then they had reasons to kill others.

But as she was always clear of her intention to kill, she didn’t think she was a guilty person though she had committed millions of crimes with her hand full of blood.

She killed for survival. She had already known what she should do in the future when she grasped the bread on Wall Street and stoned the child beating her to death last time.

n.o.body could understand how willing she was to survive in this sad and hateful world where she had been treated badly and unfairly.

They couldn’t understand why her parents abandoned her, and why the world was so scornful to the waifs and hurt them by all kinds of ways though they did nothing wrong. Could they?

So, she was determined to survive! Although she was not blessed by G.o.d, she had to survive even with no conviction!

Since G.o.d in this world didn’t bless her, she would be in the company of the devil and willing to fall into the dark! Since then, she would never see the light again.

Now that the world had discarded her, she would have no attachment to it.

She would grasp whatever she wanted in any way! But she would never rely on others because she was the only one who would not hurt her.

Since she was born, the first thing she was taught by the world was grabbing.

As a result, no matter how powerful the enemy was and how difficult the way ahead was, she would overcome them one by one! She would succeed eventually!

She would walk to a man beside her. Bai Aoxue drew her dagger out from the man’s heart. She cleaned it gently and took it into the sleeve.

It was in the early summer, but the wind was a little cold when blowing by.

A thick smell of blood mixed with the smell of rust diffused and hovered around the whole yard.

Bai Aoxue raised her long legs slightly and strode out of the yard without any hesitation.

“Bang!” The heavy wooden door was closed, locking the b.l.o.o.d.y living h.e.l.l as well as the past experiences of the female who had left resolutely.

All of those scenes just told people how the woman survived before. Today, the preceding scene was played once again, but the woman had grown up.

She would not weep in alarm after she killed others with her b.l.o.o.d.y hands and her arms clasped around her knees. The woman had been mature.

Walking out of the seemingly broken yard, Bai Aoxue lighted the fire effortlessly and ignited the backyard.

Looking at the rising flames, Bai Aoxue lingered on with her eyes changing and fleeting until the fire spread all over the backyard. Then she turned around and left.

In the light of the flaming fire, she was in black from head to foot, with her long falling hair swaying mistily as she walked and her wide sleeves whistling when being blown by the wind as if wrapping up the wind.

Her back was thin and weak, but she was firm and tough as if she could hold up a world.

When Jun Yeyan and others received the message, they found and rushed to the stronghold of the Ink-blood Tower.

When they arrived there, the backyard had already been flamed monstrously, and it was so fierce as if everything would be engulfed by it.

Watching the burning flames, Jun Yeyan had known the reason in his mind. Zhao and a few people dared not to speak but waited for him to make an order in silence.

“The front courtyard.” He gently opened his thin lips and uttered these words.

But Zhao and a few people all understood him.

“Master, Nalan and Ju Xiao have entered the front courtyard before us.” Zhao said carefully.

Jun Yeyan nodded and strode towards the front courtyard quickly. His black clothes waved in the wind and were reflected with the darkening sky as if they would merge together.

Because the fire was absent in the front courtyard when he arrived there, the atmosphere was overwhelmingly peaceful. But for the smell of rust in the air, it might be very peaceful.

Zhao, Li Xiao, and others frowned unanimously, but Jun Yeyan didn’t hesitate to open the heavy wooden door quickly.

“Hey… You are here!” Nalan Youhong greeted with a smile and said after he raised his head and saw Jun Yeyan and his men.

But Jun Yeyan and others didn’t respond to Nalan Youhong. He looked around quickly, but he couldn’t find Bai Aoxue. Then he was clear in his mind that Bai Aoxue had left for a while.

But Zhao, Li Xiao, and others couldn’t believe the scene before them.

Anyway, they thought Bai Aoxue was unable to kill so many people! Although she was strong, she would be inferior in a fight as a female, after all.

The scene before them could be called the living h.e.l.l indeed with dead bodies lying at random here and there. They looked extremely miserable and horrible with their eyes opened.

If any woman was present, she would be terrified and cry out.

But fortunately, all of them here were extraordinary in bearing capacity. Zhao and other men were not shocked by the dead, but by Bai Aoxue.

“Master, there are more than two dozen people, and some of them were poisoned to death. But some of them died before the poison showed the effect. But all of them were killed with one blow without exception! Judging from their wounds, they are attributable to daggers or short swords.” Ju Xiao walked to the side of Jun Yeyan and reported his findings slowly.

According to the words of Ju Xiao, Zhao and other men were sure that it was their Princess who had killed these people!

Jun Yeyan had been looking into the distance all the time. He did not draw back his sight until Ju Xiao spoke. He nodded and said, “I know.”

After saying that, he took a few steps forward and bent over slightly to pick up the ribbon that extended on the floor of blood but was clean still. Then he put it on his palm.

“This is Xue’s ribbon for her hair. She wore it when she went out this morning.” Jun Yeyan said lightly, holding the ribbon in his hand tightly.

“Let’s go… Xue might have gone back.” Jun Yeyan said lightly with the ribbon twined around his wrist.

He didn’t show any expression in his eyes, but the men following him at the scene still felt panic.

Even Nalan Youhong didn’t know at this time how Jun Yeyan felt at this moment.

“Master! I am willing to receive the punishment. It’s my fault for not protecting Princess well and leaving her at risk alone!” Zhao got down on his knees and said when looking at Jun Yeyan.

Li Xiao and a few people kneeled with Zhao. They surprisingly had the same thought as Zhao.

Jun Yeyan turned around and watched Zhao, Li Xiao, and others deeply. After a long while, he sighed gently. “Get up. Xue has her own intention. You might have lost her even if you had followed her. She must still remember that she was ambushed by people of the Ink-blood Tower last time. Besides, Bai Aoxue is very tough and strong.”

Zhao, Li Xiao, and others were hesitant, but they had to obey his order and stood up slowly.

“Master, thanks for your forgiveness.”

“The fire will come here soon. Let’s go back.” Jun Yeyan said calmly.

After saying that, he was the first to leave the courtyard, which was about to be destroyed by the fire.

“I am really looking forward to our Princess very much.” Ju Xiao sighed gently while looking at the dead bodies lying on the ground at random.

“Fortunately, she is our companion. If she is our enemy, it will be tough to handle her.” Nalan Youhong said lightly without his past arrogance.

Ju Xiao nodded and turned around to leave as well.

Just after they all left, the flaming fire finally engulfed the stronghold of the Ink-blood Tower in Yangzhou! Now, it came to an end in Yangzhou.

Since Bai Aoxue was a little disgusted to smell the scent of blood, she bought a female suit and put it on after she left. Wearing the bamboo hat, Bai Aoxue stared at Yangzhou where people were in an endless stream with the falling peach blossoms in the air. She even had the idea of staying here longer.

Looking at Xiaobai and Chidian following her closely behind and the pedestrians bypa.s.sing her automatically, Bai Aoxue twitched the corners of her mouth.

Coming to the small corner, Bai Aoxue said lightly, “You two can return. I want to hang out alone.”

After saying that, she turned around and disappeared in the crowds quickly, not caring about Chidian and Xiaobai at all.

“Howl!” Chidian shouted fiercely. He shocked pa.s.sers-by, but Bai Aoxue was still unseen.

Reluctantly, Chidian turned around and got into the alley. It followed the way when coming and returned to the mountain villa with Xiaobai.

But Bai Aoxue didn’t know that Chidian and Xiaobai were intercepted by Jun Yeyan on the way.

“Look at the front, Master. Are they the horse and pet of Princess?” Li Xiao asked in surprise, pointing at those two figures before them. One was tall, and the other one was short.

All the people looked along the voice and just saw that Chidian walked ahead and Xiaobai followed closely behind. They seemed to be bored, but Bai Aoxue was absent.

Hearing Li Xiao’s words, Nalan Youhong said while twitching the corners of his mouth, “You are the only person who dares to say that the wolf is a pet!”
