"G.o.d d.a.m.n it..." I growled, wis.h.i.+ng I could return to that memory I was just in. A smile was still on my lips from the memory and I felt myself tearing up at the loss.

I miss you guys so much...

"Nava? Thank G.o.d you're awake." A woman says, revealing herself from the darkroom and giving me a tired smile. "I was so worried you'd never wake up." My Luna admits while I sighed and pushed off the bed, a needle in my arm tugging a stand beside the bed. "Slow down. You've been in a coma for a couple weeks. Take it slow, you're really weak." She tells me as I raised my hand up to my head.

I felt like I was on cloud nine just to be torn back down into reality.

"That long...?" I murmur to myself, shocked at my exhaustion but not questioning it.

I was practically starved then had so much alcohol, it's surprising that I could still walk at that point.

"Do you need the mages to heal you again? I c"

"My Luna, look over your wellbeing first. You have a pup to take care of. I am an adult and very capable of taking care of myself." I remind her, pus.h.i.+ng my legs off the bed and grabbing the metal stand that was hooked up to my arm.

I've never seen one of these things, but I'm a.s.suming that it was to help me.

Somehow.

"I'm alright. Please, Nava. Just sit. I'll have someone bring you some food." My Luna pleaded for me but since it was not an order, I was dead set on getting up on my own.

"I told you I can take care of myself. I am not a f.u.c.king child so stop treating me like one." I snap at her quietly, immediately feeling bad since she has helped me so much. "I am sorry-"

"It's okay. I understand..." She paused, standing up and coming around to my side. "Let me help you if you want to stand." My Luna offered me a hand as I stared it with a conflicted expression.

I didn't really want her help but I did just yell at her...

It would probably upset her if I did take her hand either.

With an internal sigh, I grabbed her hand and pushed myself on my feet. I held onto her and the metal pole thing for dear life, standing up taking a lot of my strength.

"Are you sure you want to walk around?" My Luna asks me, unsure if this was a good idea as I nodded and smiled at her.

"Yeah. I am fine... I just want to walk around." I admit when she nodded and patted my shoulder softly.

"I understand. When I first got here, my mate sentenced me to my bed for a week and I wasn't even hurt." She laughed as she glanced over at me again. "I can cast a spell on you so you don't feel as much pain. You'll be able to walk on your own for a while until it wears off." My Luna tells me, the idea of her using magic frightening me but I didn't reveal it.

"I'm okay, my Luna. Just give me a few minutes and I will be alright." I nod to her, motioning she should leave me alone. "I will be okay. Go ahead and be with your mate. I want to do this on my own, I will join you when I do." She didn't seem to like the thought of leaving me alone but once I mentioned her mate she was here with a gleeful smile.

"Call me if you need help then, Nava." She calls back, walking out of the room and leaving the door open for me.

I sighed, slowly sitting back down to release the pressure in my legs. It felt like my whole body was full of lead and that I was attached to this device stand.

My body is in too much pain to tear the needle from my arm and walk out of here like it was nothing. I knew it was nothing, but my body and my Luna was telling me otherwise.

She said I was in a coma for a couple of weeks and I know that wolves don't get in comas since they had amazing healing properties. But I was in a coma for at least a week...?

I must have been more injured than I expected...

"You alright, Miss Nava?" The familiar voice made me snap my attention to the large man leaning against the door frame. A large grin on his face making me smile a little bit and grab the stand again.

"Dylan... What are you doing here?" I question him and stood up, clinging onto the stand.

"Oh, you know. Learning all this witchy stuff." He joked as he pushed away from the door and came to my side. "You should not be getting up. You should be resting up." Dylan softly shoved me back into the bed when I glared daggers up at him.

"You do-"

"Back off, dude. She's been stuck in the bed for the last two weeks. Let her walk around and get herself some food. What are you doing? Keeping her a captive again?" Another familiar voice says in an annoyed tone, pus.h.i.+ng Dylan out of the way.

"Don't be an a.s.s. She was hurt and starved at the arena. Also, I had nothing to do with that horrid system." Dylan snapped at the mage as he rolled his eyes and stared down at me with a small smile.

"Come on. I'll help you out." He reached down for me, not waiting for my permission, and grabbed my forearm softly. His touch igniting the mate bond making me s.h.i.+ver.

Jesus.

I forgot how amazing this felt.

I let him help me off the bed as I held onto the small stand beside me. The mage seemed amused at me holding onto it so tightly before grasping my arm again.

"You don't need this anymore." He simply says, removing the needle from my arm and releasing the stress of tugging it around me all day.

"What is it?" I ask, curious about what that thing was when he helped me out of the room slowly.

"That's an IV, Nava. IV's are used to feed lost nutrients into your body when you're not able to. Since you were in a coma and very malnourished, we had to give that to you. My blood wasn't enough to keep you alive at the time so this was our next best option." The mage simply tells me as I blinked at him, surprised at all the information he was sharing with me.

Usually, people would just say that the IV thing is a way to keep you alive but he thoroughly explained it so I didn't have any other questions.

This mage was actually... smart.

"Wait you gave me your blood? Was it because I wasn't waking up?" I ask him as we stumbled down the hallway.

"No. The moment we got you here, High Priestess Dawn told me that you needed my blood in order to speed up the healing process. She told me that your wolf was damaged and that it was working too hard to heal both you and herself. My blood would help your wolf and then your wolf would heal you." He explains as I frowned at the news of my wolf being injured.

How could she be so injured to not be able to heal me and her?

She was always good at playing her cards but this time I guess she couldn't hold them all.

"Do you know what injured my wolf?" I ask him while he glanced over at me and shook his head.

"No. My High Priestess didn't want to tell me or anyone what it was you endured. She felt that you would be angry so she kept that to herself. However, she did tell me if you needed to speak with her that she's always open." The mage informs me as I nodded with a pleased look.

This High Priestess is right, I would have been p.i.s.sed if she spilled the beans to everyone. It made me wonder if everyone in this d.a.m.n place knew about my past.

"Do you think I can speak with her now?" I watched his expression while he thought of his answer.

"I can't sense her in her office right now. But I can bring you there once I feel her there." He tells me, zoning back in when we both stared at the stairs. "If you want I can make you something to eat. I know you haven't had a good meal in a long time." The mage comments as I frowned at the long stairway.

"That's downstairs isn't it," I mumbled more to myself, staring down the stairs while my legs ached at the thought of going down.

"Yeah." He frowned as well and looked over at me. "I can bring i-"

"No. I want to go down. On my own." I added with a determined look as he looked at me than the stairs. I had a feeling if he was like Barack that he'd demand me to return to my room after my walk around, but I was surprised when the mage slipped his arm away from me and placed me on the railing.

"I'll be a couple steps in front of you if you fall. Just take your time." He advises and walked down a few steps. I gave him a confused expression, not thinking he'd agree to let me do this.

"Why are you letting me do this?" I question him, holding onto the railing as tight as I could and taking my first step down the stairs.

"Because I know how much it means to you." He simply says when I stared at him for a split moment. "And because if you fall, you fall into my arms." He teases with a growing smile making me choke on sudden laughter.

"Such a tease," I growl, letting my smile rest on my face. "Your name is Levi right?" I ask him, taking my next step down as he matched it by going down one.

"Yes. Levi Pandos." He introduces with a small bow making me roll my eyes.

"Pandos? Jesus, that last name just doesn't suit you." I note causing him to laugh, the sound music to my ears.

"What's your last name, Nava?" He shots back playfully when I smirked.

"Merica," I tell him, stepping down the next step as he matched it with mine.

"Nava Merica." He thought for a moment, my name running past his lips again. "I like it. It suits a pretty girl like you." He compliments, my cheeks growing red as I looked away from him and notice we were only half way down.

"Oh G.o.d. I can't take this bull s.h.i.+t anymore." A voice above us says, walking down the stairs and plucking me off the stairs. I growled within my throat, shoving the person away as I dropped on the ground.

"Nava!" The mage knelt down to me, helping me off the stairs when Dylan stared down at us annoyed.

"Seriously, Nava? Come on. I'm just trying to help you not waste your time with this mage." He spat rudely causing the mage to flinch at his words.

Once I was standing up, I punched Dylan hard in the face causing him to fall down the stairs and smack down on the ground. The mage stared, shocked that I did that when I waved my hand in the air.

"Don't talk about him that way." I snap defensively, ignoring all the aches and walking down the rest of the stairs.

"Are you f.u.c.king kidding me?! Look at him! He's so f.u.c.king weak that he couldn't win against an a.s.sa.s.sin!" Dylan snarls loudly when I glanced up at the mage who was looking away with an insecure look.

"That's alright." I simply said with a short nod then turned back to Dylan. "I will be the strong one." I shrug when Dylan shoved himself off the ground with a disgusted look in the mage's direction.

"Even after everything that happened, you're letting her fight for you still? Disgusting." Dylan shook his head with a scowl before I felt everything within me snapping in anger.
