"You look terrorized, little one. What is wrong?" Dylan asks me, running his hand over my shoulder when I jumped a little. My mind was still racing at everything that Agalana and Hrudra had shown me.

"I'm okay... Just a lot on mind right now." I tell him truthfully, forcing my nervous stuttering to stay away so he couldn't question me any further. Though I was robbed of my oblivion, I was curious about his reactions to the things the women had done...

Would he even let me do those things?

"What is it? I know that expression, Khole." He poked my nose making me laugh and move from my spot of the bed and motion him down beside me.

"Agalana and Hrudra taught me lots of things," I tell him, feeling rather bold but I knew that he wouldn't laugh at me for anything I said or do. I can trust him.

"Oh yeah? And what have you learn?" He asks in a curious tone while sitting down beside me and peering at me with an unaware smile making me smirk at him.

"I've learned things like how to fight, not to stutter, and much things about autonomy," I tell him, leaning on his shoulder as he c.o.c.ked his eyebrow at me in confusion.

"Autonomy?" He questioned, trying to figure out what I meant as I crawled over him and forced his attention to me once again. His eyes were staring deeply into mine, trying to figure out what my next move was while I ran one of my claws down his clothed chest.

"Yes. I have learned how to... please you. Without having s.e.x, of course." I tell him, knowing he wasn't ready for s.e.x since he's made no other advancement towards me other than sweet kisses and bear hugs. It was getting harder and harder to not kiss him senseless, but I would wait for my demon.

Before anything could happen, he s.n.a.t.c.hed my hand and held it tightly in his grasp. His eyes were dark and I wasn't sure if I had done something good or bad but my throat tightened in worry.

"Don't." He croaks out, shaking his head in a jerky motion.

"I don't want you touching me." He says, his words hurting me as he placed me on the bed beside him and stood up quickly. His eyes didn't look into mine and the throbbing in my chest only seemed to cause more heartache. "I'm going to go now," Dylan spoke quickly, grabbing his jacket and hurrying out of the room.

Had I said something wrong?

Did I scare him off?

"Dylan! W-Wait!" I scrambled off the bed, running for the closing door as his shadow disappeared around the corner. "Dylan!" My shout barely even reached my ears before I flung myself around the corner and down the stairs.

He threw the back door open while Agalana and Valrun sat on the ground with their weapons around them. They watched us and jumped to their feet when I hurled out of the door in time to grab his arm.

"I said wait!" I panted trying to get his attention on me but failing miserably. "Dylan... Please look at me... Please." I pleaded, my voice burning with agony though he remained staring away from me.

"Khole... Let him go." A soft voice says behind me as I tightened my grip on his wrist and forced myself around him to stare up at him.

"Why did you r-run?" I ask softly, trying to hide my agony but failing yet again. "Answer me!" My heart was beating so fast that it matched with the sound of my yell. It hurt so badly to see him so... cold.

"Kho... Come on." Agalana whispers nearby as I ignored her yet again.

"Answer me. I am sick and tired of being left in the dark. I am not little or weak like before!" I yell at him, my hand shaking despite my words. "I am a Valkyrie and they are strong. I train so you can finally be proud of me and yet you run away?" I ask with a humorless laugh, shaking my head in disappointment. "I guess you have nothing to say since you truly do see me as a weakling." I challenge him, knowing he hated being provoked in such a way.

"You know what? Yes. I do think you are a weakling. All of those times anyone has ever hurt you emotionally or physically. You could never bring yourself to get revenge because you let people walk over you and that shows you are weak. I thought that maybe if I helped you then you'd become stronger but no. You've only grown into a pitiful girl who clings to everyone around her." He snaps at me, his eyes blazing with sudden anger while mine filled with tears.

But the words he uttered out were more hurtful than I could ever imagine.

"I guess we were never to be mates then," I whisper, letting his wrist go and taking a shaking step away from him. He narrowed his eyes at me when a smile rose on my lips before a laugh left my lips, tears running down my cheeks. "My life is f.u.c.ked because of you now!" I chuckled so more, wiping the tears away and crossing my arms across my chest. "If you think that I will cry over you, I won't. You don't deserve my tears for playing me. Now I have a family. So leave us now." Our glaring stares were full of pain, agony, and fury. Each of us too stubborn to look away.

"Come on, Kho. There are more attractive men anyway." Hrudra says emotionless, breaking our stare down when pulling me away with Agalana's help. Pairs and her mate, Hjala, remained outside while the other Valkyries followed us inside.

It hurt so badly that once the doors were closed, I doubled down to the ground in pain. Clutching onto my s.h.i.+rt with everything I had.

"Kho." I swung my blade down on the training dummy, not even thinking of training and just trying to cause as much damage as I could. "Kho. Hey."I felt someone touched my shoulder before I spun around and struck them.

My thoughts haywire and everything within me with a burning desire for Dylan to return home. The moon in the sky a deadly red but all I could think about what Dylan and his glorious body.

Agalana jumped out of the way before I could hurt her, my breathing heavy and p.i.s.sed with everything that happened the previous night. I'd never thought I'd feel so s.e.xually tense in all my life but d.a.m.n... did I.

"Cool it or else you'll kill it." She jokes though I only gave her a grunt in acknowledgment and turned to the training dummy. "Hey. Let's go out. I know you must be b.u.mmed that you can't get some hot booty like mine." Agalana s.n.a.t.c.hed my blade from my hands before pulling me away from the lifeless dummy.

"I'm not going out to get someone to go down on me," I growl at her, wis.h.i.+ng it was Dylan but hating that I wanted him just as much as before the fight. He destroyed all his chances to be with me.

"Why not? You just rejected the demon and are back in the game. You've got a smoking hot body and all supernatural would be up against you at any moment they got." Agalana tells me seriously when I stopped and threw her arm away from me.

"Don't you get it? I wanted to give Dylan oral and he didn't even want that. What makes you think any other person would?" I question forcefully, not liking the idea of anyone other than Dylan with me. The thoughts angering me more since I still wanted him as much as I did even though he didn't want me.

"Okay. Okay. The ladies are going out for some men to spend the blood moon with. You alright hanging at home with hanging out with Hjala and Pairs?" She asks me in a worried tone when I s.n.a.t.c.hed my blade back from her and sheathed it with to much force. I felt the knife cut my leg, but for once I didn't care while walking away from her.

"Do whatever you must. I will remain here and continue my training." I flick my hand with annoyance, not wanting to speak with anyone because I knew that talking about the subject would only anger me more.

Dylan didn't deserve me...

I hoped he rotted in h.e.l.l.

"Do you want to hang out Kho? It's only seven in the morning. We're leaving later today so I have time to be with you." Agalana tells me, unaffected by my cold demeanor and walking beside me with a content smile. Clearly her thoughts completely somewhere else.

"It's fine. I wish to do some things and maybe ask Levi to put me under til tomorrow. Something is affecting me in the wrong way today and hopefully, it'll be better tomorrow." I admit to her, knowing she'd lose her s.h.i.+t if I announced I was h.o.r.n.y for Dylan.

She'd demand I go with the others to find a man to be with, but I was still wis.h.i.+ng that Dylan would return any moment and we'd apologize. I shouldn't have pushed him, but he was a total a.s.shole about the whole situation.

"That's the moon, Kho. It causes mated women to grow needy and unmated women to search out for a night of pleasure. Thankfully it only happens twice a year so it wouldn't surprise me if you needed Dylan even after everything the a.s.shole did." She sneers, on my side about everything making me smile softly and pat her shoulder.

"Well. Until I leave, we can hang out! We can watch movies!" Agalana cheers happily when I shook my head frantically.
