"You all are leaving?" Khole, Skola's clone, asks in a heartbroken tone while her demon hugged her from behind. Agalana was warmed up with a demon of her own when the others nodded.

"Yes. We've got an order from Freya to hunt down and kill vampires to the east of here. They are disrupting a colony of Selkie and Sirens." I told her, slipping a blade from my belt and handing it to her. "Protect yourself, Kho. You are one of us now and others will come to harm you. Continue your training with Agalana and Hjala. They will remain here with you to ensure your safety." I tell her as she nodded and handed her mate the blade.

"Yay! I get to stay here! Isn't that lovely, demon?!" Agalana shrieks, hugging the man who was littering kisses all over her face. It was clear that he didn't realize she'd forgotten his name.

"I will be accompanying them, my Prince." The deadly male speaks up from behind me making me roll my eyes. I spun around, throwing a blade at him and cutting the side of his face before the blade pierced the wood of the wall behind him.

"We are proud women that need no demon general following us around." I snarl at him, but he ignored me and continued his way to the couple.

"You're just mad that I gave you a case of the blue b.a.l.l.s, dear Demon," I growl making Kho's demon wince, clearly knowing the pain since our small Khole had given him this many times. Seeming embarra.s.sed, the demon narrowed his eyes at me while we sized one another up.

"YOU WILL DO NO SUCH THING!" Agalana screamed, the other Valkyries growing tense as well when I glared over at the woman nestled in a demon's lap. We shared a look, both our eyes flas.h.i.+ng a deadly silver while I slipped a few daggers from my belt.

"Someone will need to tell them," I told her as she scrambled off the demon and came towards me, her own sword in her hands.

"They will send you to internal d.a.m.nation! Haven't you learned not to tempt the d.a.m.n G.o.ds!" She shrieks, the sound making several of the windows to shatter and people wince from the sound.

"Come not, Lana. Taunting the G.o.d's is a daily necessity of mine. You must understand this." I said, the only pleasure I'd felt these last few centuries were of those times where I angered the G.o.ds so much they send me to horrible places.

"You're an idiot." She shook her head at me when I placed my knives back and turned away from them.

"Come now. I may not be the smartest, but darling. I am Hrudra the cold beast. I will do as I wish and there's nothing you can do about it." I said, sparing a look at the demon with a hard exterior. "If you wish to accompany, Demon. Know I will torture you every day until you pray to the G.o.ds for a savior." I promise him, a dark glint going through the silver in my eyes that even seemed to horrify him.
