JESUS: UNDERSTANDING THE MYSTERY AND POWER OF HIS NAME 10 Manifesting As God On Earth

The scribes and the Pharisees thought they sat in Moses seat had their minds un-renewed and stubborn. Instead of accepting their ignorance they often covered up their inadequacies so as to look good before men. They did only what was convenient for them. Hear what the Lord said about them to the mult.i.tudes and his disciples.

Matthew 23:13-14

13 But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.

14 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows' houses, and for a pretence make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater d.a.m.nation.

Hypocrites preach or teach the truth which they don't live. How do you know an hypocrite?

"when a man preaches right but lives right he is a saint. When a man preaches wrong but lives right he is an ignoramus. When a man preaches wrong but lives wrong is a sinner even though he claims to know Christ. When a man preaches right but lives wrong he is an hypocrite"

Hypocrites do not grow and such were the Pharisees. Their works and their words were far apart.

As if Jesus was instigating the mult.i.tudes against them, he said

Matthew 23:9

9 And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.

That is not to say there are no true spiritual fathers. The local church is a family and your Pastor is your spiritual father except he is an hypocrite. Paul referred to various people as his spiritual children. I have given you a brief history so you will know about the religious leaders in the days of Jesus.

John 10:31-34

31 Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him.

32 Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shewed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me?

33 The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself G.o.d.

34 Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are G.o.ds?

G.o.d wants you to manifest as G.o.ds on earth. The Jews could not understand the spirit behind the word of G.o.d yet their scribes and Pharisees sat on Moses' seat to interpret the word. They were the custodians of the LAW but were hypocritical in its interpretation. Jesus was actually referring to the eighty-second chapter of Psalm

Psalm 82:1-6

Ps 82:1-6

1G.o.d standeth in the congregation of the mighty; he judgeth among the G.o.ds.

2 How long will ye judge unjustly, and accept the persons of the wicked? Selah.

3 Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy.

4 Deliver the poor and needy: rid them out of the hand of the wicked.

5 They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course.

6 I have said, Ye are G.o.ds; and all of you are children of the most High.

As you have respect for the covenant and as you seek to liberate men who are within the habitations of cruelty where the devil is the G.o.d; you will see yourself manifesting as G.o.ds on earth. The reason why Jesus manifested as G.o.d even in the flesh was because he lived to fulfil the purpose of G.o.d.

1 John 3:8b

...For this purpose the Son of G.o.d was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

That is the reason he made you priests and kings unto himself so that you can establish your triumph even here on earth. You are destined to reign in life. As G.o.ds, you are to rule and dominate. You must develop your faith in G.o.d's call as Sons and Daughters. This will make a success of you as it will help you to stand against discouragement.

Lack of confidence of your salvation will spell doom in the Christian experience. That is why you must believe what G.o.d has made of you through the redemption of your soul. Hear what the wisdom of G.o.d says about you.

2 Corinthians 6:16

16 And what agreement hath the temple of G.o.d with idols? for ye are the temple of the living G.o.d; as G.o.d hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their G.o.d, and they shall be my people.

Power of your Position

One of the greatest problems in the world today is the lack of the understanding of what it means to be a new Creation in Christ. Some thought that when we were born-again we are just forgiven but still sinners. You are new creatures with the life of G.o.d imparted to your human spirit to recreate it in the nature of G.o.d

1 John 4:17

17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.

Here the scripture did not say as he was, but rather as He is my emphasis is in the last line of that verse... As He is, so we are in this world. As he is today, with his victory over death, over sin and over the devil so we are in this world. This is talking about the law of identification. We are identified with Christ, even here on earth, and that is to say all that Jesus did he did it for you that you might be a partaker of his victory. He conquered the devil on your behalf; he bore your sin that you might become one with him in righteousness.

Act 9:1-4

And Saul, yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went unto the high priest,

2 And desired of him letters to Damascus to the synagogues, that if he found any of this way, whether they were men or women, he might bring them bound unto Jerusalem.

3 And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there s.h.i.+ned round about him a light from heaven:

4 And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?

Here, you could see that he heard a voice. This voice was the voice of the glorified Jesus. Paul thought he was persecuting the church, but in actual sense he was persecuting Jesus Himself. This is because Jesus is the Head of the church and you are members of the body.

2 Corinthians 5:17

17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are pa.s.sed away; behold, all things are become new.

Another thing you should know is that you are without condemnation. There are many people today who put themselves under condemnation: G.o.d made him who had no sin to be sin for us: so that in him we might become the righteousness of G.o.d

Romans 8:1

There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

You are perfect and righteous in Christ Jesus. Your portion in Christ Jesus is that of a son. Know it that you own everything because Christ owns everything. Whatever belongs to him, belongs to you as well

Romans 8:16

16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of G.o.d:

Every other sacrifice on earth today is an insult on the intelligence of G.o.d, who offered the blood of his son for the atonement of our sins by becoming our perfect high priest as a result of the blood sacrifice.

Hebrews 9:13-14

13 For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:

14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to G.o.d, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living G.o.d?

So beloved, you are a living stone, a spiritual house built. You are an holy priesthood offering spiritual sacrifices to G.o.d. The only spiritual sacrifice you are to offer today is your life and your wors.h.i.+p.

Power in your anointing

For you to manifest as G.o.ds on earth you ought to have faith in your anointing. The Lord Jesus Christ constantly affirmed that he was anointed. That is not boasting in flesh, that is boasting in the Lord. In fact the bolder you are the more the anointing upon your life will work to your advantage. Confidence gives you access to your divine inheritance. Hear what Paul said.

Philippians 1:28

28 And in nothing terrified by your adversaries: which is to them an evident token of perdition, but to you of salvation, and that of G.o.d.

One of the ways the anointing on Jesus came to manifestation was that he either preached or taught he was anointed. He refered men to what was written in the scripture concerning him. Their responses to those words determined their blessings

Luke 4:16-18

16 And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read.

17 And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written,

18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,

Three things you ought to take note in the above pa.s.sages

i. Jesus had a custom of preaching or teaching on those prophecies of Isaiah about himself

ii. He must have requested for the book before it was delivered unto him. Bible then was not one book like we have today. The more reason that knowledge of G.o.d's word must be your priority. If you don't attend to the word, there is no way for the anointing to be released since G.o.d has tied his power to his word

iii. Jesus was still going to the synagogue to teach them. It was the best available place of wors.h.i.+p in his days. You can't grow well outside of the church

Psalm 68:6

6 G.o.d setteth the solitary in families: he bringeth out those which are bound with chains: but the rebellious dwell in a dry land.

As I preach and teach on the radio every morning, I re-affirmed the truth to the listening audience that their local churches are important. As I received mails from them, I wonder why endless list of problems are in the life of people. Some of them even claim to be born-again but they desire independence. Jesus is their pastor and they have nothing to do with good churches where the truth of G.o.d is being preached. Liberty in Christ is not doing what you want to do but doing what you ought to do. Stop playing today and find a good church. Your blessing is located in a divinely ordained setting.
