The owner of the plot flag needed to be at its location in order to transfer owners.h.i.+p . As Walter was the current owner, he led Jason's group to the forty-third floor . Along the way, they pa.s.sed by numerous towns and villages, as well as lone buildings . Peter stayed behind to watch over the construction of Skyfall's town, much to Jason's disappointment .

The forty-second floor consisted of a giant mountain range filled with lakes and rivers . There were plenty of spots on the mountains with stunning views . As only less than six months had pa.s.sed since the community floors were discovered, building development was in its infancy . Jason had never seen the wild untamed lands on these floors . Back then when he first arrived, entire cities had covered the floors .

A few hours since Walter began leading the way, they finally arrived on the forty-third floor . Upon exiting the portal, Roy stepped forward as his jaw dropped . "Wow!"

Multiple pillars could be seen in the distance . Each one was over a hundred feet in diameter and stood more than fifty stories high . Waterfalls could be seen falling over the edge . The water dispersed from the wind before it hit the ground, creating beautiful rainbows . This was without a doubt the most beautiful floor that Roy had ever seen . Even Olivia and Cheslov's eyes lit up . It wouldn't be wrong to call this place a paradise . Walter stepped forward and pointed at a pillar in the middle of the floor . "That one is yours . "

"No way! The plot flag is on top of that pillar?!" Roy was in disbelief .

When Walter nodded, Olivia was confused . "How do we get up?"

"I'll show you . " Walter led the way, and less than an hour later, they stood at the base of a pillar . In front of them was a small eastern looking paG.o.da . Strangely, it floated a foot off the ground . Walter stepped on it without hesitation and beckoned them over .

When Jason's group got on, Walter pulled a lever that was attached to the inside of the paG.o.da . By what could only be magic, the paG.o.da leisurely flew up in a straight line . As they pa.s.sed the halfway mark, an empty paG.o.da pa.s.sed by their side, on its way down . That way, there would always be a paG.o.da on the bottom and on top .

Jason leaned against the railing of the paG.o.da and looked at Walter . "I wonder who it was that you couldn't force away . Were they that strong?"

Walter sighed exaggeratedly . "You'll understand once you see him . "

Jason's group imagined all sorts of figures . Someone with lots of money, someone with a ridiculous backing, or maybe even the president of a country . All sorts of crazy ideas flashed through their heads .

As the paG.o.da neared the top, a heavy clang came from above . Clang, clang, clang . When every second pa.s.sed, another clang rang . The closer to the top they got, the louder they grew . It reached the point where a normal human would start bleeding from the ears . Roy covered his ears and shouted over the clangs . "What the heck is that?!"

Jason's eyes lit up as a figure flashed through his head, though he couldn't be sure . A hint of antic.i.p.ation steadily rose . When the paG.o.da reached the peak, Jason's group got a clear view of the top of the pillar . Short green gra.s.s covered the ground . A crystal clear lake covered a third of the pillar, which was the origin of the waterfall . Magic continuously supplied water to the lake, otherwise it would have long run out . The only building that could be seen was a large rectangular wooden house .

Walter stepped off the paG.o.da and headed towards the house, followed by Jason's group . As they neared, blue light suddenly began to emanate from the house . Walter paused as his face fell . When blue beams of light shot out of the windows, Walter dove to the ground and screamed . "TAKE COVER!"

Cheslov, Olivia, and Roy had superhuman senses, so they quickly copied Walter without questioning the reason why . Jason was the only one standing . He crossed his arms as excitement flashed through his eyes .

Just as everyone hit the ground, humming came from the house and the air vibrated . A shout came from the house . "NOOO!"

The blue light reached a peak, followed by the sound of something shattering . In the next moment, the house exploded as a violent wave of mana swept outwards . Inside the chaotic mana were shards of metal . Thankfully everyone dove the ground at the last moment, or they would have been skewered . As for Jason, a green hexagonal s.h.i.+eld blocked the shrapnel .

Su Long coughed up a mouthful of blood as his eyes rolled backward . He collapsed to the ground and muttered weakly . "This old man admits defeat . "
