As far as these World laws, they were something else. How the items just fit on the person in a pocket dimension per person. The food, however, could not be stored. Afterward, we mused over my squad.
The first was the young lady Tia. I knew her since childhood in this world. Her family serves my own when they first separated from the Beoulve house. Her sister was originally my aide. But went missing one day. The younger daughter Tia took this position determined to fill her sister's place. Tia was loyal energetic, and honestly someone I was able to count on. Well the other me counted on.
The second was the other squire Carn. He hailed from a disgraced n.o.ble family. The t.i.tles they family owned was stripped two generation ago from what I could remember. Carn was loyal to a fault, more bloodthirsty than a den of panthers, and easily bored. A weird combination but someone I wouldn't mind getting stuck in a fight with.
The third was Davido a chemist. This b.a.s.t.a.r.d bugged me. He was a money grubber, a coward, and cunning not someone I wanted on my team. He bought his way into the Akademy how I have no idea. I don't trust him in the least. The amount money he was able to get ahold of would scare a veteran on wall street.
The fourth was Banka a chemist. He unnerved me a little he seemed quite s.h.i.+fty. He was quiet, cunning, and Calcutive. I could never tell what he was thinking. He always keeps me on my toes. His words always pointed out what was wrong with a situation. But this was only in dire situations other than that he remained quiet.
We exchange gear and all moved out. It was pretty quiet on the journey. The good news about this squad I didn't talk with most of them well besides Tia. I was mostly withdrawn growing up due to the ma.s.sacre of my family they tend to give a wide birth. So anyway I act now will shape their views of me.
System: Perception Check: 21
"Hold up here, and get ready for combat." I stopped the team to prepare for the encounter. Unlike in the game were able to change gear and how to approach. Galtea stated as long as we weren't already spotted first we would be able to use The System abilities and ignore the World Law in that way.
I found it funny the first battle here was gonna take place on Mandalia planes. A group of bandits was laying waste to a group of squires. Just six of them left that I could accurately tell that was still moving for combat. At least four were down with numbers above them. Maybe we could get to the down enemies before they crystalize. I spotted one blond in the group, in particular, looked familiar. No way was it Argath. He would be the only one here at this time frame.
One of the six an expensively dressed squire in all sorts of heraldry started to panic. "Protect me you fools. Count De Limberry is my cousin he will pay a large sum for my safety."
I moved closer and activate observe. It informed me at least that it was Argath. It was best we acted now. I broke into a sprint with my squad pulling up the rear.
Argath started to speak to the knight while moving closer to the rear. " Sir what are we gonna do? They have us outnumbered and we are exhausted."
An actual knight in the group the one I a.s.sume is leading them spoke out, " We will hold our ground and try our best to escape as well. Get into formation! Show these bandits we won't go down without a fight."
The gaudily-dressed one was conversing with the two chemists.
"You three do your best to distract them. We will get some help for you all." The squire and two chemists began to retreat or flee is more like it. "Do your best to stall them as best you can."
"Come back here you baseborn cowards," Argath yelled at the trio.
"Argath control yourself!" The knight sternly said. "Our enemies are upon us they can wait."
The lady white mage in the group. " My magic is to low. I have one more spell I can cast before I am completely spent."
I looked back to Carn he was able to keep up with my speed. " Carn me and you will swing around back and rush in. If it looks too dangerous, or that they won't survive that extra time it would take it we will strike from the sides." Carn gave me a grunt of approval. I looked further back. "The rest of you the front is yours. The priority for you three is to stay alive. The secondary is to save them. You have your orders move out!"
Me and Carn broke forward we were able to make it to the rear successfully. 'Isn't this the point I should say like a cool one-liner or something.'
Galtea: If you do I am taking away your reward.
'Ouch, you are heartless. What reward?'
Galtea: Save the three and change history. Rewards ????, ????? Failure -1500 points.
"Welp don't wanna waste time Carn. Kill the bandits they have to die, leave none of them alive understand." I drew my longsword and moved in.
Carn burst forward I saw magic violently around his legs. He told me gleefully as he swung his axe into the back of a bandit. "Azul I like this side of you much better than the quiet you!"
'Lv3 6/190 Adrenaline Rush, Lv5 21 /170 Biotic s.h.i.+elding.' I focused my power at the very tip of the blade. Sending the sword right through the thief in there groups right lung and shoulder. a.s.sa.s.sin techniques work wonders, Galtea was right not using my Lin Kuei skillset was foolish.
"Aye, there's a reason you could say I was always quiet. Chalk up my behavior to that as well." I said as I looked back at him.
"Dammit, it's one of the Order patrols. Kill them quickly the knight and priest must be dealt with." The Bandit leader commanded.
An influx of black magic poured this his hand directly at Carn and the corpse he discarded. I jump in front of the blow and took it head on while activating observe.

"d.a.m.n that hurts yah p.r.i.c.k!" Using my biotic infused sword to block worked in favor. I should think of more ways to use it. Good thing that was just the fire spell and not fira.
Galtea: Use every opportunity you can to your advantage, my User.
'Understood.' Before the smoke could settle I used all the remaining strength of my adrenaline rush to burst through putting me face to face with the leader. the effects of that burst dissipate it and my s.h.i.+elding seemed to receive a boost.
"My apologies cousin, it seems you will die do to Dycedarg's schemes," I quietly said to him as we crossed swords.
Codis eyes drew into slits. He sneered at me. "So the mute grew a pair no matter. I don't know how you learned about what's going on, but you can't stop what's coming or what will happen."
Carn was engaged with another of the squire's as another started to come up the rear.
Tia was holding her own against another squire. There was a huge gash under her neck. She seemed fine from what I glanced. She better not bleed out.
Davido was running around the battlefield throwing phoenix down at the down people. The messed up part was he threw at the ones who were next to the bandits. He did his best to stay out of range of a charge.
Banka stood close to the trio fighting with them keeping them alive.
"Carn push off the one and help Tia." I told him while not taking my eyes off my foe again.
"Grr, ha!" Carn let out. As soon as I heard the grunt I shoulder checked Codis then shot off my 'Lv1 32/50 Concussive Shot' off towards the squire Carn pushed off.
A blast of magic shot out from my arm. The outer casing of it was clear like water. But the inside was a mixture of purple and light blue. It connected with the squire blowing off a good portion of his arm and knocking him back.
"Argh!," he screamed out in pain. The rest of his group turned to look at what happened. They look stunned to say the least. I forgot that it makes noise.
Tia froze up looking horrified.
Banka stood his ground just astonished but didn't forget himself. He threw a potion at one of the squires that got up with a phoenix down from Davido I am a.s.suming.
Davido had his back towards the situation he was at the far outskirts of the fight. He had a pistol out shooting towards Banka and the group that surrounded him and Argath's group.
System: Strength Check 13
Codis tried to push me off balance and back to no avail.
"d.a.m.n you, to think you were this capable. New plans to be adjusted, break off now and meet at the rendezvous." Codis barked out behind me.
"Understood sir." A figure said 40 ft or so behind me. "We should get this info to the Lord," I'll head out at once." The voice never became completely tangible.
"Do you honestly think I will let you leave? Fat chance!" I swung my sword after pus.h.i.+ng off from our clash. Swinging to clip his leg. Making contact but not cutting through deep enough. 'Dammit, I need to use misty fist abilities.'
Galtea: Do not use those abilities.
'Why the h.e.l.l not now?' This was ridiculous killing him should be a priority. I paused from hearing her response and retorting.
"Tch, cousin you are good but not good enough," Codis said as he disappeared in a bright light.
"Dammit why does he have that ability," I said out loud to one of the bandits. 'Galtea explain why not to use it on my enemies. Beforehand it made sense now it doesn't.'
Galtea: To show you to gather different abilities. To not become complacent on the ones you have. When you used the a.s.sa.s.sination techniques earlier it worked out quite well. It is time to get more abilities. Also, your misty fist is better for hand to hand and should be your trump card when an enemy believes you have access to no weapon or magic. Allowing him to escape will allow you to move further with your plans for getting rid of Dycedarg and his faction is that not something you wanna do?
'Tch you are correct on all accounts. My mistake will I fail the mission since he got away.' I started to calm down after noticing my biotics flared up during out talk.
"How is Tia?" I ask out loud as I started my meditation to get myself in control. 'She froze up was not expecting that.' "Carn round up these squires if they resist kill them."
"She will be fine a little sore but she will get through. It is her first battle besides patrol." Said, Banka, as he had the white mage tending to her.
"I see," my eyes were on the white mage. I approached her, sword still in hand. "How is her arm can you mend the damage or not. Don't waste time on the outer exterior the interior is more important."
"I... I.. know what to do my lord." The white mage trembled in front and went back to tending.
I looked over at Tia. "Well, what happened to you just now? Can you still fight, to be more precise will you still fight by my side?" With the way I do things and my mental state of late I would most likely do something stupid regarding her and she doesn't deserve that.
"I can still fight!" Tia looked at me defiantly. The white mage was startled but smiled at her. "You can't get rid of me so easily I swore an Oath and I will not falter in the future!"
"Buaha..ha.ha," I couldn't help laughing at her. "Aye very well I look forward to seeing what you do in the future it is only going to get worse. Remember to take care of yourself. I rather you to be alive than dying on the battlefield" I walked away and looked at Carn while I walked towards Argath and his group. Carn had them all togethor and tied up. The other squires had their weapons out and had them all surrounded. It looked like it was all in hand.
"So Mr.Knight who are you? Are you the group that was accompanying Count De Limberry. It seems you were all ambushed. That or you were all staging something and it went horribly wrong." I raised my sword up to his front. My abilities were off cooldown so if something happened I was ready at the least.
"No my Lord we had no part in this. That I could a.s.sure you. Some of our knights may have betrayed the Count De Limberry but we did not. Please remove your sword and let us talk this out." The knight had biotic strands coming off him. None were misleading whatever was going he did not know.
I lowered my blade and looked past him. "It took you long enough to reach us ya know." I was happy to see our new guest and he brought a present.
"Sorry I am late boss. But this fellow and some others were all gathered around, to close to my village. Alistair dropped the fresh corpse. And approach me.
"Excuse me, I will just be a few moments." Me and Alistair walked off out of earshot. He surprised me with a hug.
"Boss thanks to you I was able to kill the people who came and took out some of my people. I may not have gotten the head honcho but this was a start. I know how to fight these b.a.s.t.a.r.ds so finding them is the only hard part." Alistair was d.a.m.n near ecstatic.
"That's good to hear. For the one calling the shots, you won't like who it is." 'Well, Galtea this is a fine mess of things. Are you telling me Codis Beoulve is responsible for the death of his village.' Need all the facts before I tell him.
Galtea: I do not know from the info we have so far, they play a part in it. Tread carefully. Also, your points are now fixed. Finish up here and buy some upgrades.
'Very well sounds like a plan to say the least.' " Alistair one of the ones involved is a Codis Beoulve III, that is what current info is pointing towards. Does this person ring a bell?"
"Codis.. Beoulve... the III are you sure?" Alistair started to tremble and violent levels of magic began to pour out of him. I could see a silhouette of an image of another version of him standing above overlapped of him. This one had golden eyes. I took a few steps back.
"I will kill him! I swear on my name, and the blood of those he butchered he will not escape." Alistair said through clenched teeth. " This is my resolve come forth my Persona!" Alistair screamed to the heavens as an image started to take shape up above.
I started to get pushback from the power. I unleashed all my biotic energy, psycho/soul power as well to stop the energy backlash from hurting those behind me.
The trees in the area became splintered and flew off as the base was uprooted. The rocks began to pulverize into dust. Animals and monster kneeled before him. The ones that did not became liquid.
'f.u.c.king h.e.l.l he is so much stronger than me it is not even funny....'
