Lottatna tucked her tails away. Resetarits did too. He stepped to her side, the same thoughtful look on his face.

"I wasn't smiling at him, but at the easy blending of their energy fields. I smiled because I could see Melissa and Nd would do well together."

She kissed Resetarits and he kissed her back.

"Do you still worry I'll leave you for another because of tail numbers?"

"Tail numbers and men who are kinder than me."

"Would you like me to help you address that later?" I asked.

Resetarits studied my eyes a moment then nodded.

"Alright."

They kissed briefly.

"Lottatna?" they heard her last client ask.

"Rebecca," Lottatna said. "How are you tonight?"

"Great," she said, her energy trembling. "Just great. I … uh… wanted to let you know I found… someone else, closer to me, who can work on me."

"That's good. Thank you for telling me. Best of luck."

"Thank you." Rebecca looked at me a moment longer then left.

"Guess that means I can work on you now," she said to Resetarits, pulling her note inside the door then closing it.

"Alright."

Resetarits got up on the table and Lottatana worked on him.

"Why would a woman, who loved a man enough to bind herself to him, suddenly leave him for another who gave her a shallow compliment?"

"I would think that if she loved him, she wouldn't."

"Exactly. Which is why you need not worry about losing me."

Resetarits' eyes watered. "You love me?" he barked.

"I do love you," she said.

Resetarits wept and Lottatna was able to close the balance.

She climbed up on the table and curled up on his chest. She kissed him and he kissed her back. They made out while tears still fell down his face.

"Thank you, Lottatna. You don't know how much that means to me."

"I have a pretty good idea."

They kissed a little longer before they got up and headed home.
