"What took you so long ge ge, I was thinking of leaving without you if you came any later, hmph!", Jin complained as she pouted her cute little face. Foreseeing this, Ryan had already stopped by a small p.a.w.nshop on his way and bought a small silver pendant. Nothing too pricey, but it was enough to tame his 'beast' of a sister (pun intended). Plus, it had given him a weird feeling when he first saw it, yet, when he tried injecting his spirit power, he couldn't find anything. "How were you gonna leave me behind, exactly? You got no money", Ryan said casually. Jin only "hmmph!"ed in reply. For an old lady, she was much too childish.

"Well, anyway, I bought a small something for you. Here", Ryan said as he threw the small silver pendant towards Jin, which, she caught reflexively. Her eyes shone as she saw this, but she immediately hid her excitement and said, "Hmmph! I'll let you off the hook for now! I have arranged a carriage for us. Now, pay the money and let's get going! Stupid brother!", she walked haughtily ahead, without waiting for Ryan. Ryan, now slightly exasperated, sighed as he thought, 'There's no winning with this girl', then he smiled and shook his head lightly, after which he jogged to catch up with his sister.

Ryan then paid for the ride and they set out just around 15 minutes later, hoping to reach Nuoding city, according to the driver, in 27 hours.

"A s-s-s-s silver bow??!!", the elder exclaimed in extreme shock. He had been given a briefing of previous elders and members of spirit hall when he was promoted to the position of an elder. During that, he had heard of a t.i.tled douluo with a silver bow as his spirit. "Oh, you recognize my martial spirit?", Shan asked the elder as he arched his eyebrows. 'Wasn't my existence only known to the top three clans and the high ranked officials of spirit hall?'.

"Of course I know, senior, after all, this little one is an elder at spirit hall. ", the old man's behaviour underwent considerable change. He now stood in front of Shan with a forced smile and cupped hands. He wasn't stupid. There was no way he was gonna win if he engaged this person in a fight. So he tactfully adapted to the situation. Seeing the impressive speed of his transformation, Shan thought, 'Oh, thats why, I was thinking how a peak spirit saint became an elder. Hmm, this guy sure works well during crisis.". And at the same time, a certain part of the sentence annoyed the c.r.a.p out of him. 'This little one? How old do you think I am, you stupid old geezer?', Shan thought as the corner of his mouth twitched. But he couldn't say anything as it was a sign of respect. If he says otherwise, he'd practically be devaluing himself.

"If that child is related to this senior, I definitely will not report this to the HQ, also, I will forget all about this incident. Oh boy, look at the time, I should head back to the inn and get some sleep, farewell senior!", the elder immediately finished and turned around before attempting to leave the rooftop. But, immediately, he felt a humongous mental pressure on him. Eventhough he was all that he said he was, this pressure was still too much. He heard a voice from behind, "Ara, I'm sure you will let this go. But I'm not entirely sure you won't report this. Plus, I already brought out my awesome spirit. It would be quite wasteful if i dont use it at all dont you think?". The elder was putting up a front till now. After hearing this, his whole body started trembling. Did this mean he was gonna die today? He suddenly turned around with a deep bow as he faced Shan and said, "Please spare my life senior! What use is my life to you? Besides, if you use any spirit skills on me, spirit hall will identify your location and all of this will be for naught!"

Hearing this, Shan laughed and said, "Don't worry, I'm not gonna kill you. I'm not that kind of character.", then disdain spread across face as he said, "also, I won't be using any skills on you. I dont need a hammer to manage an ant.". Saying this, he immediately immediately folded his bow, inwards, in half and flashed in front of the elder. he then let go of one end, causing the bow to unfold, hitting the elder right in his abs. Due to the pure strength, he was thrown back towards the wall around 15 metres away and crashed into it, thus destroying it. The sudden pressure also caused air to be expelled from his lungs so fast that he pa.s.sed out. Seeing all this, Shan thought, 'Yare Yare, all this cause that brat of mine couldn't keep his hands to himself. Why did he do that to the girl just cause of a grudge with with her mom? Did I and Hua teach him wrong? Am I that much of a failure as a father? Ey. I'm sure he had a reason. Plus, what was it with that absurdly strong spirit of his? I knew he had two spirits, but I never expected that the spirit which repelled me that day was this strong! There seems to be a lot our son is not telling us. Well, I hope everything works out.'.

Shan then walked towards the elder and stood near him. He then mumbled, "I'll use the new domain ability I got a couple years ago on him". White light spread around both of them in a small circle. A small line came out from the elder's forehead, which Shan slowly pulled on. After it was round 20 cm long, he examined it and 'snipped' that small part. He then retracted the domain, causing the thread to go back in. "There we go, good as new", Shan said with a smile as he vanished from the rooftop.

27 hours later.

"Ge ge, ge ge, get up! We're here! Let's get out of the carriage!", Jin was shaking Ryan like crazy, which caused him to wake up. When he did, he felt like vomiting. He spent most of his time sleeping like a log because he was suuuper tired due to the fight and didn't want to be drowsy when he got to school. So, Jin was p.i.s.sed at him due to lack of company. Because of this, he couldn't get angry at her. Also, her face said she was beyond excited to go to school!

"Yeah yeah, I'm up, let's go", Ryan said as he grabbed their bags and urged her to get out. After getting out, the duo thanked the carriage driver for his service and and the carriage left. "Well, where to now?", Ryan asked while yawning. Clearly, he could use some more sleep. "Let's go to school!", Jin said, all excited. Ryan looked at her with pity and contempt, then looked around, and then again shot the same look at her. Jin felt weird, cause her brother was looking at her like looking at a helpless dog. That's when she looked around. It was midnight. Which school is gonna be accepting new students right now? "OOOh, sorry! I was too excited that I didn't look at the time! te-he!", Jin acted cute as she tried to cover up her mistake. Ryan was still too tired to laugh, or care. So, he held both of their luggage in one hand and held Jin's hand using the other. He then started pulling her towards the nearest light. Jin went with him, and found out that place was a hotel. So, they booked a room for the night and directly headed there. There was only one bed so they had to share. Although Jin felt weird and was blus.h.i.+ng furiously, she had no other choice as she started feeling extremely sleepy the moment she saw the soft bed. And Yan was already on it by then.

The next morning, Ryan got revenge as he furiously shook Jin out of her sleep. He was all ready to meet his master. So they both got ready, had breakfast and headed to nuoding academy first thing in the morning. It took them only 10 minutes by foot and they reached the front gate by around 8 30. As they were nearing the gate, Ryan also saw, at the corner of his his left eye, an old man and a young boy walking towards the same place. The old man had walking stick and pretty fragile const.i.tution, while the boy had medium length black hair and smooth white skin. His facial features were all appealing, his seblue eyes being the best of them.

'Oh dang, I did not think today would be the day I meet him.', Ryan was slightly surprised. But he paid it no mind, as it didn't really matter. After all, when you study under the same master, you gotta meet someday. Seeing the two kids heading towards the academy, the old man and the kid came towards them. The old man then asked them with a smile, "h.e.l.lo, are you two kids going to enroll in the academy as well?", to which Ryan replied, "Yes uncle." "Great, my name is Jack, I am from a village nearby and came to bring this boy to the academy. Little San, introduce yourself to them", uncle Jack said as he s.h.i.+fted his eyes towards the boy with him. "h.e.l.lo, I am Tang San.", the boy with the uncle said as he held out his hand to Ryan. His eyes were filled with excitement as well.

"h.e.l.lo, I am Xiao Yan", Ryan replied as he shook the boy's hand.
