The Legend Of Ice 7 My First Day At Training

I don't how, but I woke up in my room at the mansion. The pen and the materials Richard gave me yesterday were on a nearby table. I jumped out of my bed and found the toilet.

After that, I went to examine the pen. A note was beside it that read:" Meat me at the lake when you wake up. And wear something from your closet- Richard".

I sighed and remembered that I was still in pajamas. I went to see what would I wear for the day. I put on a body suit and linen pants.

When I reached the corridor, I almost stumbled with Starlet, who was just going out of the library.

"Morning", I saluted.

He nodded and asked, "When did you come here? "

"I was going to ask you the same question".

Reaching the lake, I saw Richard waiting for me.

"At least you could have told me that you were going to pick me up", I said with a blaming tone.

He put on his annoying calm smile and said, " Let's begin your practise. Go to the sh.o.r.e of the lake and meditate for an hour."

" An hour??", I complained, though I still did that. Some sort of energy was evading me, it surged through every cell and vessel of my body.

After an hour, Richard said," Get off your suit and s.h.i.+rt, unless you want them to get wet".

"Okay".

My body was average, I had some muscles under my skin. We stepped in the water, but Richard had other motives, he was stepping on the water. He just floated there and sat in cross-legged position. I did the same, though inside the water.

" Try to control the water", he said, as if it was so easily and insignificant, "close your eyes and make these hand movments. Remember, the key is to concentrate".

He showed me the hand movments, and I obeyed. I tried to clear my mind. It was hard. But the one hour meditation helped.

I made the movements for about 10 minutes, but nothing happened.

"Come on", Richard encouraged, "you can do it. Just believe that you are the water and need to move like any species".

I tried again. This time I felt like my hands bacame liquid. I felt like nothing existed around me. Sound of trickling water came from me. No. They came from the lake.

I opened my eyes and found myself in front of Richard, who was laughing delightfully and clapping his hands.

"Excellent!", he approved, still clapping, "I expected you to do it on the 10th try, but surely not on the second. You are truly talented Hasan, I underestimated you".

A twinkle of pride emerged inside me. I had made what other people couldn't.

"Now, let me see if you're also talented in wind", he smiled.

I repeated my actions earlier and without knowing, I was floating in the air. I instantly panicked, falling in the lake. I was surprised that I could breath inside the water. I mean, when I went to the pool with my friends, I could stay under the water longer than them.

Richard came inside and said in the water without any difficulty, "Amazing, isn't it?". He pointed towards the horizon. I was stunned. Many amazing underwater creatures where swimming happily with each other. Some of the small ones even came and tickled my hands.

If I had any thoughts that all of this wasn't real, now all the doubts disappeared. I was part of this paradise now. There was no going back.

Richard patted my shoulder and told me to get back outside the water.

We swam back to the sh.o.r.e together. My body quickly absorbed the water that was stuck on me. I put my clothes on. We headed back together to the house.

"Rest for some time, then go to Fárbauti and Mimir in order to make your wand. Mimir will teach you how to make it. Then, go meet Merlin in room 13", he said.

I hadn't realized how tired I was. Once I was on the bed, I sank in a deep sleep.

I slept for about an hour. Then went to meet Fárbauti and Mimir on the training grounds.

The big guy was sharping a long sword ignoring Mimir who was talking beside him.

When I approached, the head notice my arrival, "h.e.l.lo, brother". He gave me a hideous grin.

The warrior turned his head towards me and said" What brings you here, boy? ".

" Richard sent me here in order to make a wand", I answered calmly.

"Follow me".

He picked Mimir and walked towards the forest.

"Find a good Elder tree and cut a solid branch from it", instructed Mimir.

We found the branch and went for the armory (Don't ask me why. I don't know what wand making has to do with armors and weapons).

The big guy picked some heartstrings that I believed were dragon ones, then reached for his pocket and revealed a small crystal the size of a baby's thumb. He then picked up Thestral hair from a pot.

"Here", he handed me the materials, " bring the feathers that master gave you and hold the branch".

Mimir instructed me to say some words that I surprisingly understood.

Instantly, transparent thin fibers began to form around the materials. They began to merge with each other until a 7 inch wand was created.

Rectangular beads were on the wand, the little crystal was at the end of the wood. Its color was indigo.

"A good one indeed", Mimir praised, "it contains the right wood, cores, and length. It also resembles the elder wand of Antioch Peverell. Take good care of it".

Fárbauti nodded. I was indeed fascinated by this wand. I felt like it resembled my personality. Nice, good but also simple.

I thanked the two and went to find Santa in room 13.
