The Myriad Hack System 14 Chapter 13: Yumina's Heart Trial

Raizel gazed coldly upon the old skinny goblin kneeling before him with a staff in hand. In his mind, he was already formulating plans for this group as the first citizens of his monster country-- his first batch of slaves. Once they are moded by the system, they and their future generations will never be able to escape his grasp.

'Swear allegiance' Raizel's soft yet cold voice resounded in their minds, giving a very mystical image of Raizel. As magical creatures all both the wolves and the goblins have some extent of intelligence, thus they all thought that he must be a very powerful demon. If they antagonize him, only death awaits them.

"WE SWARE ALLEGIANCE TO YOU, YOUR MAJESTY" "Awooooooooo" the goblins shouted and the wolves howled in union to declare their loyalty, fearing that Raizel would kill them if they don't which is correct. Raizel would just slaughter them all and harvest myriad units if they refused him.

Seeing the new floating notification bar, Raizel felt multiple lines connecting him with the 12 goblins and 3 wolves through the system. He could even sense the data transferring from him to goblins and wolves.

Yumina became surprised to see all the goblins and wolves fainting suddenly and cras.h.i.+ng on the ground. Raizel nodded a satisfactory smile, knowing the program is being engraved into their very being-- both in mind and body.

Considering how l.u.s.tful, irrational and backstabbing creatures goblins are, he would never allow them to join his crew without full control over them. Multiple ideas formed in Raizel's mind as he moved to a random small straw hut of the goblin village. Yumina followed him inside the hut where they saw the most basic two necessities for living; a hand woven thin matress for sleeping and two water containing jars. This sight amazed Yumina as she never considered goblins as sentient creatures but rather l.u.s.tfull monsters that only ****, loot and kill. Raizel is an exception, his intelligence was sub-consciously attributed to him being a reincarnated being in her mind.

Raizel sat cross-legged on the matress and gestured Yumina to sit in front of him. Yumina complied and also sat crossed legged.

"Yumina, listen to me answer after giving it a carefull thought, because this will decide your future path." Raizel said with a deep voice. Calming down her excitement, Yumina put on a serious expression signaling she was ready to hear him out.

"To cultivate is to go accordance the heavens and to cultivate is to go against the heavens. These are two famous qoutes from where I came from. But even if they are contradictory, they couldn't be more correct." Said Raizel, puzzling his sole listener. Raizel noticed her perplexed expression and smiled before continuing...

"Yumina, do you know the origin of energy cultivation?" Raizel asked with a mystified smirk on his lips. His pale red pupils glinted with nostalgity. He really missed the days when the purpose of his being was to learn and the history of energy cultivation within beings was a subject datiing back to the very beginning of all sentience.

"N..o..." Yumina muttered in low voice, lowering her head. She was ashamed of her lack of knowledge and felt she had disappointed him.

"The divine cultivation, that was the first cultivation system tought by the world universe itself to generate beings who could withstand a Tao law and become Deities who gaurd and regulate the universe.

And your lineages make you perfect for divine cultivation. You are practically a peerless genius on this path. If you trend this path at your current cultivation speed, I estimate you could reach pastor realm in 2 or 3 years." Raizel said while monitoring her facial expressions.

"Eh!" Yumina's eyes widened in shock. She always lothed herself as the most useless and talentless one, because she already lost her best growth period. But now she had a chance to exact vengeance on her own in just two or three years-- excitement clouded her eyes.

This was a heart trial for Yumina. if she couldn't pa.s.s this then Raizel would never keep her beside him. If she failed, Raizel planned to erase the link and memories between them.

He also planned to destroy her lineages and leave her at a human village. Because she could become a threat for him with those lineages. She could become a second Zena, but Raizel would never allow that to happen.

Sparing her life was already a very gracious of him. And as a bonus, she would also forget all her sorrows-- those tormenting memories will also disappear.
