A Warrior's Path 1 Chapter 1.End Of One Life,Begining Of Another

It was a day like any other, the breaking of first light into the room a man slowly woke up.he was in his late twenties with deep black eyes and hair cut in army style but still the man can be called a lady killer.he got up, washed himself and ate something before grabbing his wallet and going out.

Looking at the slowly setting traffic he thought to himself 'another boring day'.This man is Drake. An orphan who was raised by a General. Like his father Drake also grew up to be a honourable man. To honor his father Drake joined the army and was quickly recognised for his talent.

As he literally grew up in the army he soon became someone unmatched in combat arts.this is also partial to his monstrous talent which also gave him a photographic memory.He completed one mission after another creating a legend in the army but soon he found everything boring. there was nothing that makes him excited,to make his blood boil so he chose to leave the army.

Even as a soldier the rewards he got for completing certain missions could put him as one of the wealthiest man in the world moreover sometimes he also did work as a mercenary. Even though he had all this money he never kept anything more than what he needs for daily meals. the rest he used for providing homes for homeless,supporting kids for education, giving care for elderly.

From the moment he started earning he always gave everything to those who needed it more than he did. As he left the world of fighting he found enjoyment in other stuffs such as novels and animes. He was always expectant of the twists and turns in the stories.

The rest of the day went by in a flash. He was walking through the sideways and came to stop at a crossing. As he was waiting for the signal to cross he saw a vehicle losing control and cras.h.i.+ng towards a couple and a child. His body moved on its own and as someone who stood at the epex of martial arts he quickly reached them. He embraced the child and pushed the couple out of the way. The car crashed onto the his back sending him flying.

The hit broke a few bones in his body and a bone impaled his lungs but he didn't let go of the child and cus.h.i.+oned her fall. The crowd started gathering and the couple rushed to where he was. He slowly leaned onto the side and sat. His breathing was heavy and he felt he was about to vomit blood but swallowed it back seeing the frightened child.

With a smile on his face while patting her back Drake said : don't be afraid it's ok. Everything's fine.

The little girl slowly raised her head and saw his somewhat pale but handsome face and that warm smile. The little girl calmed down and it was at this moment her parents rushed towards him and gently took her. They quickly went forward to pick him up so that he could get to the hospital for treatment but Drake stopped them.

Drake: I know my body better than anyone. I won't make it.

The couple had tears in their eyes. The women said: thank you for saving my baby.

Drake smiled towards them and said to the little girl snuggled in her mother's arm : grow up to be a gorgeous lady. ok

With these words and a smile on his face Drake slowly closed his eyes. The couple were holding in their tears so that the little girl won't cry. All the people surrounding the place were saddened.

As his last speck of life was fading away Drake wished ' I wish my next life would be like those MCs from novels where they get a system and fight strong opponents '

As Drake wished of this the surroundings s.p.a.ce shook for a moment and a slight crack was formed near his head. The people surrounding him didn't notice a tiny speck of light left his head and went into the crack. After the speck of light entered the crack it slowly closed.
