Harry looked around anxiously as the Harry on the other side of the lake yelled desperately, trying to summon his patronus against the horde of Dementors coming at him. He managed to produce a faint wisp which held them back somewhat, but it only brought some time. Both Hermione and Sirius lay down unconscious by him, leaving Harry to fight them off alone.
"Come on, where are you?" the present Harry thought as he searched around him.
When Harry was in this situation before he went back in time, he remembered someone saving him. That person's Patronus miraculously managed to repel all the Dementors. Harry, before fainting, managed to make out the persons general image which looked exactly like his...
"Where are you Dad?"
Harry, clenched his fist as he watched himself from a distance weakening, collapsing under his knees as the silver wisp keeping the Dementors back flickered constantly, eventually fading into nothing as the Dementor grasped his neck.
"Come on!" he muttered, staring about. "Where are you? Dad, come on—"
In that split second, Harry realised, no one would come.
In that split second, Harry realised, that it wasn't his father that rescued them.
It was him, he had seen himself.
Harry rushed into the open and whipped out his wand and yelled:
EXPECTO PATRONUM!
In that instant, not a silvery wisp, but something large, bright, and solid appeared out of his wand, rus.h.i.+ng towards the Dementors. Harry's eyes winced as his eyes tried to adjust to the brightness, trying to see what exactly it was as it charged forward, making the Dementors fall back into the darkness. Soon enough, they were gone.
As the creature galloped back, Harry could finally make out the creature. It was a stag. It stopped in front of him, an arms reach for Harry as it seemed to almost look at him. As it slowly bowed its head, Harry slowly realised. "...p.r.o.ngs," he whispered as held out his hand to touch it. It dispersed as soon as Harry's fingers came in contact with it, as if it wasn't there in the first place.
As Harry stood there dumbfounded, he heard hooves behind him. Startled, he found Hermione stomping towards him leading Buckbeak.
"What did you do?!" she said fiercely. "You said you were only going to keep a lookout!"
"I just saved all our lives..." said Harry. "Get behind here behind this bush—I'll explain."
...
Vincent let out a breath as he ducked under the Werewolfs good arm, letting pa.s.s over him as he continually smashed it's ribs with his rods. It became a loop, Vincent would dodge while throwing continuas blows while the the Werewolf could only hit empty air.
As Vincent dodged another blow, he barely noticed it's bloodied arm coming toward him. Bracing for impact Vincent lifted his leg, kicking off, and using the force of the Werewolf's swing to launch himself backwards in a flip as he landed on in a backward roll right into a kneeling position. While doing so, he checked his pocket, making sure Pettigrew was still there. Giving him no time to breath it rushed him again with both arms outstretched in a hugging motion.
"It's arms healed, so I should a.s.sume that it's jaw is too, meaning that I have to watch out for it's bite again," Vincent thought as he jumped over its arms, locking his legs around the werewolf's neck, using his momentum to throw it to the ground.
Vincent took this opportunity to rain bash it's face with his rods before rolling to the side to avoid it's claws, reaching to grab him.
"It heals to quick, can't damage it properly much less knock it out," Vincent took quick gasps of air before stepping to the side to avoid a slash before stabbing it's stomach with his rods, making it hold it's stomach on reflex. He took advantage of it's pain to kick it's knee with all his strength, hearing a disgusting cracking sound. The werewolf fell to the ground as it held it's leg gave out under it, howling in anger and pain.
"Sorry Professor," Vincent apologised as he circled around the werewolf dropping one of his rods as he jumped on it's back.
The werewolf felt something slide in front of it's neck before pulling back, choking it. Vincent gritted his teeth as he pulled back his rod, using it as a medium to choke the werewolf. Struggling, the werewolf got up with it's injured leg, grabbing Vincent's arms to wrest them away from his neck while slamming Vincent against a tree trunk, making cough in pain and loosen his grip. Taking advantage of the opportunity, the werewolf threw Vincent off, sending him tumbling.
Vincent struggled to right himself as he got to his knees mid tumble. Gasping for breath, he realised that the werewolf was struggling to stand with it's bad leg. Vincent's eyes scanned the area for anything he could use, rocks, sticks, roots, he was searching in desperation before his eyes landed on the sheath he held his rods in.
"Don't think, do it." A voice seemed to echo through his mind,
Vincent held out his hand, calling the rod he dropped before as it zoomed back into his palm. He then sheathed and unsheathed them, covering them in the silvery Pulse potion within the sheath, just as the werewolf launched itself at him again, using it's good leg to pounce at him.
The moment it did, Vincent rushed forward, avoiding it's arms before stabbing upwards at its neck with his rod. With a loud boom, the werewolf flew skyward as it clutched it's neck in pain.
Vincent wasted no time as he gathered a handful of stones that he threw into the sheath. Just as the the werewolf was about to fall down, Vincent threw his other rod, hitting the werewolf in midair keeping it skybound.
It was then, that everything seemed to slow down in Vincent's eyes as they flashed about, taking in the trees, branches, and surroundings. He ignored all sense of pain, smell, taste, sound, and only focused on what he could see and touch. As he absorbed all the information, he took a deep breath as he bent his legs and jumped.
What happened next could only be described as inhuman.
...
The werewolf couldn't understand what was going on, all common sense told it that a mere human such as the one in front of it should have been easy prey. Yet, not only has it evaded its bite, but also injured it severely several times. Now, it somehow found itself in the air with it's throat severely injured.
No matter, all it needed to do was land, then it could end this annoying boy.
All it needed to do was land...
So why hasn't it landed already?
A boom on its stomach along with a crack of pain from its ribs sent it flying away, only for another boom and crack to appear on its back almost immediately. As it fell down, a rod flew up, creating another boom which sent it up again.
Right arm, elbow, left arm, elbow, shoulder, claws, left leg, right leg, left foot, right foot, spine, ribs, chest, not one of these areas were spared as he was flung around the clearing. It's whole body was flaring with pain. The bombardment was endless, rocks wouldn't stop blowing it up and when it was about to fall, a rod would pick it up from the bottom. At one point, it just so happened to lock on to a pair of golden eyes, staring at him from the dark, sending a chill down its spine.
...
Although Vincent's leg strength was far from the enchantment that his Leg Strengthening potion gave, his training and everyday consumption of the watered down version of his strengthening potion still allowed him to leap to some incredible heights, enabling him to leap around the werewolf via trees.
With his earlier scan of the forests surroundings, he got a general idea of where every study branch that he could use as a foothold was. Now, without needing to look, he could determine where, and when to jump to another branch, letting his eyes focus on only the werewolf.
As it flew towards him, Vincent threw a small stone covered in the Pulse potion towards its leg.
BOOM!
"Antic.i.p.ate where your opponent will be. a.n.a.lyse them, and decide how many moves ahead to antic.i.p.ate."
A stone blew up once it hit the werewolf's leg, sending it spinning towards another tree where another stone blew it in the other direction.
"Aim not only with your eyes, but with your mind."
As Vincent leaped onto another branch, he threw out two stone, one that blew the werewolf back, and another that launched it back up again.
"Don't think about missing, it'll distract you, throw it all in the trash."
Vincent landed back onto the ground and threw all the remaining stones at the werewolf. Every single one of the stones. .h.i.t, causing a ma.s.sive booming sound above him. It sent the werewolf spiralling high above into the night sky.
He held his hands out, catching his rods as they flew to his hands. He sheathed and unsheathed before throwing them high up above the werewolf.
"Fall," Vincent held his hands skyward.
The werewolf already sky high, was struck by the two rods from above. With a final boom, it shot downwards like a bullet. Vincent rolled to the side just in time to avoid it as it crashed into the ground, leaving a small crater.
Vincent was gasping for air he knelt on the ground. Now out of his trance, he started taking notice of his injuries, his legs sore, ribs slightly broken, arms cut, and, although he couldn't see it, his back was probably not much better. He got up shakily as he stumbled to where Lupin was.
Inside the small crater, Lupin could only growl weakly, unable to move even a single limb as it twitches violently.
"Don't bother, I've broken and dislocated as much limbs and bones in your body as possible," Vincent's voice made Lupin look over, growling in anger as it continued to try and move. "Guess you can't understand me still. Well, no matter, with your healing properties, half an hour should be more than enough for you to move again."
Vincent watched Lupin continue to struggle, his werewolf form looking fearsome and deadly, but while he did feel some sort of accomplishment for beating it, he also felt some sadness for the man.
"Nyx will be back soon with the Wolfsbane potion, so just sit tight," Vincent turned around and hobbled towards the castle, leaving a wounded werewolf to howl and growl in anger behind.
It seemed like forever to get back. The fight with Lupin took him a fair distance away from the castle, not to mention Vincent's stunt earlier, even walking took a toll on his legs as they were tempted to give out from underneath him.
"How much longer till they execute Sirius?" Vincent muttered to himself as he used a tree to support him. "Will I even...No, I have to make it in time."
A wave of dizziness once again washed over him as he fell to his knees. "d.a.m.n it, keep going Vincent."
He tried to get up only to fall to the ground again. He s.h.i.+elded his chest pocket, where Pettigrew was still contained as he started crawling. During the fight, he took several extra injuries while protecting Peter who remained battered, but otherwise, unharmed.
"I'm bringing you back to Sister An, and then, you'll have a long talk." He said to himself.
At this point, there was no way that Vincent could make it back on time. The castle was too far away, at his current pace, it would be no exaggeration to say that it'd be morning by the time he got back.
"d.a.m.n it! I need to keep going, only I can save him now!" Vincent felt frustrated as he bit his lips, causing blood to flow. "Only I can...If I'm not there, who else can?"
"Kid, you ain't alone anymore." A voice seemed to echo in his mind, one full of confidence.
As Vincent continued crawling with desperation, he felt his arm hit something boney, something sharp.
"Look up."
Vincent looked up to see a large feathery eagle head bow down to him.
"Buckbeak?" Vincent whispered.
He then noticed a rope around it's neck, a rope that was held by a certain vampire in a wheelchair.
...
"Macnair! Don't bring the whole hord of Dementors, just one is enough!" Fudge scolded Buckbeak's executioner as they went up the stairs with Snape, who looked distracted, and Dumbledore, who looked as calm as always, although he did frown at the Dementors following behind.
"If I may, Minister, Black is a rather dangerous fellow, we have to be prepared for any attempt at escape," Snape said. Although he said, that, his eyes looked like he was thinking of something else currently.
"Oh golly, your right Snape," Fudge said with a look of agreement. "We finally have him in our grasp. We'll have the Dementors Kiss him right away—"
Fudge then took note of Snape's downed demeanor and furrowed his brows. "Mr Wong, don't worry Snape, after this, we'll launch a full search party to determine the boys whereabouts. Searching for Pettigrew? My word, Black sure filled these children's heads with delusions, don't you agree?"
"Yes, he did...indeed," Snape muttered as his footsteps quickened as they neared the top of the tower.
"Macnair, have the Dementor's set up a perimeter and perform the kiss immediately, we don't want him to escape no matter how small the chance," Fudge ordered as they reached the door to which Macnair responded with a nod as he turned to give instructions. "Now then let's see our prisoner."
The moment they opened the door, the three of them, Fudge, Snape, and Macnair all stood shocked as the sight of a bloodied boy sat in front of a sobbing Sirius.
"Vincent Wong?" Fudge whispered in disbelief, only to snap out of it as the Dementors all rushed through, aiming straight for Vincent. "NO, STOP!"
"EXPECTO PATRONUM!" Two voices called out.
Vincent, dizzy, looked up just in time to see two bright lights in the forms of a large majestic bird and something that resembled a horse of sorts, he couldn't tell what it was. Soon the light dimmed and what entered his view was a smiling Dumbledore and a stern Snape, although he could swear he saw a hint of worry.
Vincent couldn't help but chuckle at the thought as he pulled out the duct taped Peter and held it out. "I got him Professor, I got Peter."
Then he pa.s.sed out, his smile still plastered on his face.
