He sighed,"Those walls… Who the h.e.l.l was bored enough to create so many pictures in mid air, there were some stairs before… I can see that something was cut from the walls someone who was experienced in Sword Arts did it."

His eyes narrowed, as he reached the end of a part of the pictures,"According to this, this city was created a few hundred years before the Age of Darkness, used for trading between major cities."

However, the method used to achieve this result, was the thing which interested him the most, they had created some kind of underground system, and weakened certain parts of the ground, to know where to suck the Soul Force from.

This was a definite proof, that there was someone living at the end of this hole, however, judging from the dust on those walls, they had not been used in a very long time, which answers the question to where the stairs were.

Due to the Age of Darkness, they probably were too scared to go up, so to make it impossible for others, or different demon beasts to come down, they destroyed the stairs, and used the system they had created, to make Demon Beasts less interested in coming here.

Demon Beasts had it very hard when they wanted to cultivate, they cultivated at a very slower rate than when compared to humans, so no Demon Beasts was interested in cultivating at a place which lacked Soul Force.

This was definitely interesting, he did not regret coming to this barren wasteland, he knew that his father had jumped down this hole, so there was a chance that he was still alive, albeit very low, he learned this fact through reading the actual mission details after exterminating the Sacred Family.

The fools had not even burned the proof of their demented acts, it truly made him feel that his clansmen were a bunch of fools, it was a miracle they had managed to create such a powerful and influential family.
